Government's lack of response.

Three days passed, and the present day was now the last day before the college entrance exam. Students were crazily grinding themselves to improve and be ready for the upcoming event, which could determine their future.

Some have tried to improve their academics, for they have lost their motivation of entering an awakened academy school, which is the only requirement for them to be awakened but sadly, they were not.

Although there was still some awakened academy school that accepted an unawakened, they were not brave enough to become a frontline soldier. They were fine being a salesman, where their lives could be protected by awakeners from the taxes they were provided.

Meanwhile, some were training their body to the limits, as they spent their time the most by torturing themselves profusely. Most of them, or probably all of them does not have breathing technique, which could greatly enhance their physique. Hence, they could only outdo their flaws by kept improving every day.

These people aimed to become a soldier in the government, which the other people were afraid to choose as their path. The soldier had a higher reputation among the citizen, only lower to those awakeners. They sacrificed their lives and would not think twice about dying in the honor of mankind.

Most of the soldiers had this mentality that other people admired, for they knew even the awakeners were afraid to have their life taken. The awakener's reputation was even decreasing day by day, especially to those awakeners who were arrogant for they spend their lives battling others, and their job was supposed to clear a dungeon.

Lastly, of the students who were awakened, there was only less than twenty-five percent of them in their batch in the Zeka high school. Although, Zeka high school was the top high school even amongst the other nineteen C-Grade countries. Yet there was still only less than twenty-five percent of them.

However, considering the whole batch of them only consisted of seventy-five people meant it was still a great value.

"Compared to the last batch of awakeners, how does it compare to now?" Frank asked.

He calmly placed his chin under the twirled fingers as he laid his elbow on the hard surface of the wooden table. He gazed at the woman standing beside the enormous projector, which presented a neat presentation report she had been reporting to others.

Currently, twelve other school board members were present at the meeting. There was not a single of them absent for fear of incurring the wrath of the current principal, who did not even bother masking his aura, causing others not to feel comfortable throughout the meeting.

"It is higher by almost fifteen percent, sir! This is probably the highest percentage of awakener's batch from the past years!" The woman responded with a beautiful, professional smile.

She was beautiful as her black outfit perfectly showed her curve-appealing body, which almost made the men want to wolf her down already. However, the woman could not be more careless about their lustful eyes, as she was focused on delivering continuous positive reports to Frank.

"That's good news, indeed." Frank nodded his head in satisfaction. "In the past batch, it was the lowest percentage of awakener we had before the end of the year. It almost loses us some face. Thankfully, we managed to have a comeback by increasing the number to a whopping fifteen percent. That's a huge boost!"

The woman in black felt happy as well and continued delivering all the positive reports she had in her arsenal. Regrettably, all happy moments have an ending. Thus the woman could only stop her report with a brilliant but dejected smile. However, Frank was still not finished yet and asked a Question which should be included in the report.

"Wait! Why are you not reporting regarding the college entrance exam tomorrow? Did not the Government inform us yet?"

"U-Um." The woman in black hesitated. "They indeed have not informed us yet, and we did not receive any call from them. We have also been expecting the Leo Family, who we thought would organize tomorrow's event, but they did not reach us."

"W-What should we do, then?" One of the school board members forced out a question.

'They have stopped reaching out to me to tell the whole story regarding the boss's disappearance event. I thought they give up, but it appeared it was not. Something must have happened,' thought Frank.

While Frank contemplated, all the school board members finally discussed among themselves. They talked a lot including tomorrow's event and past problems like the sudden emergence of blue fire on every campus. Although it stopped for more than two days, it still brought a lot of panic to them.

After all, they were a great example of a man who relied upon others similar to a salesman relying on the soldier and awakeners for their safety. If a dimensional zone appeared in their school and they were implicated, God knows how they could still remain calm and collected.

"If they will not reach to us. Then, we can only start our own entrance college exam," said Frank.

Silence permeated the atmosphere while all the school board members, including the woman in black who already sat on an available chair, shut their mouths. After they processed what Frank had declared, a single question rose inside their head, and one of them voiced it out.

"However, will the five great academies send their scout to us? In addition, we should consider other's C-country academies."

"In case you are not aware, the other C-Grade academy had already expressed their agreement about us being the host of the event. We have already informed them that the event will happen in the school, so some are already here, resting and preparing in the condominium we provided. They were also waiting to receive the event program.

As for your first question, who knows? Probably the Four Ancient Families' academy might send their scout, but for the Federation Awakener's Academy? Seeing the government's headquarters have not reached out to us yet, who knows?"

Two school board members argued with each other, and Frank had to intervene to stop their quarrel. Frank continued to contemplate if he should contact the Government personally. However, who knows if they would not stop persisting him again after they suddenly became active, hence the cause of Frank's hesitation.

A moment later, Frank sighed, and all the people present immediately shut their mouths and turned their heads toward him. Frank was unperturbed by the countless gazes that landed on him.

He said, "I will try to find a way to contact the government later on."

Frank then turned his head and gazed at the woman in black, who immediately straightened her posture and waited for Frank's instruction.

"Do you have the personal data of our awakeners?"

"Yes! Coincidentally, the counselors just now send me the data regarding the Path that the awakener revealed. Due to the data-privacy act, we could not force the student to tell all the truth, so there must have been lies on their report," replied the woman in black.

"Don't worry about it. We will know later on. However, do report all the individuals who revealed their Path in public, and what are their ratings? The Counselors have also rated their Path and their usage of their soul power, right? Currently, exclude their vitality test."

The woman in black heaved a vast sigh of relief, as she immediately reached out for the laptop placed on the table. She pulled out her phone from her pocket with a wire, which became a bridge that connected her phone to the laptop.

It did not long before a new presentation was presented on the projector's screen. The school board members could not wait to receive the assessment of students' ratings from the counselors. Since the counselors rated the students, their standards were higher even the awakener, who was already licensed might get offended if they were rated by the counselors.

"There were currently three students who stood out the most when it comes to their Path information. First, Isabella…"
