"Am sorry mother for being late but I have finally come?" he said

Alex's mother giggled letting him hug her.

He let her go and looked down at her, "You as beautiful as your daughter" he said.

Her mother smiled, "Thank you"

Alex watched as Becca walked in.

"Mother this is Mr Livingston and Becca his assistant" she introduced.

"We are back at Mr, I thought it was Nathan now" he pouted. Turning to her mother," Mother you can call me Nathan or son any you prefer "

Her mother laughed, "Nice finally meeting you Nathan".

"Am so glad I came" he said.

"So what are you here instead of your father's birthday party?" Alex asked.

"To get you of course," Becca said.

"Me, but I wasn't even invited," she said.

"You don't need an invitation Alex 'cause I am your invitation" Nathan moved to her, his hands gently moving into hers. "Why would you think you needed one in the first place, you're a special person to both me and Dad. He sent me here to pick you up so go get ready"

Alex's found herself smiling up at him, "Are you sure about this, what will everyone think when am seen there"

He chuckled, "It's my father's birthday and your his son's girlfriend so I don't care what others think as long as Dad and I are happy seeing you there"

Alex turned red looking away, "Am not your girlfriend yet" she murmured.

"She's right boss, I don't think you have officially asked her that question yet"Becca added.

"Oh" he moved back and held her mother's hand, "Mother with your blessing, can I ask Alex to be my girlfriend?"

Her mother turned to her daughter, "My blessing is already with you both, it's up to her now" she said to him.

He hugged her, "Thank you mother" then moved back to Alex.

"You heard mother it's up to you now, so Alex will you be my girlfriend officially" he was beaming like a small kid waiting for a prize.

Alec felt all the eyes on her she turned up to him, "Yes" and before she knew it he was holding her up in his arms.

She laughed, "Put me down".

"Now that you are officially together you can come with ms now, so go get ready," Nathan said.

"But I don't have anything decent to put on," she said.

Becca and Nathan smiled.

"Your sister told us you would say this so we came prepared," Nathan said. "Becca go get her ready"

Becca took her hand and led her away, "Let's go, we have a few minutes to get you ready or you will both be late"

"But...mother..." she muttered.

"Go ahead dear, don't worry," her mother said.

"Don't worry Alex, I will keep mother company" Nathan said.

Alex was dragged away and was surprised to see a team of people in the living room.

"Who are they?" she asked.

"This is the team going to help you get ready so go ahead and show them your room so they can help you get ready," Becca said.

"Is this too much for just one night?" she asked while they dragged her away.

"No, it's not. You're now dating the most handsome and rich man in the country so you need to look your best. And remember tonight is your father-in-law's birthday" Becca said as they got up the stairs.

"My father-in-law? I think we are confusing something here" Alex said leading them into her room.

"No, we are not. Now stop talking and sit down" Becca said.
