Unbound Familiar

An avid gamer nerd's dreams come true in another brutal yet lucky? fashion. Follow him as he does his best not to die in laughably humiliating ways, all while trying to escape his abrupt and unwanted servitude. Will his knowledge of the world he finds himself help him succeed? Will he return home? Will evolve past his title of 'Dog'? Read and find out! This will be another multiversal world-hopping story, similar to my other one, EBW. I'll not spoil the surprise of the first world, but Skyrim will eventually be involved... And no, I'll not be adhering to plot, instead destroying it and hopefully not butchering the original story in the process. Once everyone had settled, they began to explore the digital world of Skyrim from the eyes of the 'Dragonborn', needless to say, it was pretty funny to run into people you actually knew... Especially so for the College of Winterhold and Companions...

"Huh, I don't know why but I expected the College to be collapsed already." Saya remarks.

"To be fair, Megumin was probably the one who destabilised the foundations to begin with... You don't use explosion magic around a place like that..." Michael adds.

"Hmph! That elf guy deserved it!"

"Well, you can kill him a second time in game if you play through the Winterhold questline."

...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Soooo... We're the Arch-Mage of the College after doing what, three fetch quests?" Saya drawls, shocked at the truly low standards of promotion. Not to mention the fact that their character was still incredibly low level and barely able to cast Adept level spells... "An Arch-Mage who should still be attending basic lectures... This game is dumb."

Michael shrugs, "Would you argue against the guy who has the overpowered as shit staff that defeated a guy with infinite magicka?"

...

"I guess not..."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"This is Surtr's journey? I hope the game is dumbing it down because it seems too easy for the 'Jesus' of Tamriel..." Saya mumbles as they kill yet another dragon.

"The act of absorbing souls isn't just to purchase extra shouts, I think he'd be even more broken than our character. Think about it, the guy's absorbing ALL of the memories and understanding of the slain dragon..."

"Which has centuries of knowledge and experience..." Saya shakes her head, "Let's just hope he doesn't go off the deep end and become a 'Demon Dragon King' or something dumb."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The day ends and the group finally turn off the game, deciding not to play anything as they'd gotten their fill of potentially prophetic events.

Just as everyone was getting into bed however, they all hear the unlocking of the front door... It opens and in steps Michael's parents, one above-average-looking blonde women, and one average-looking brunette guy with a protruding gut.

"Lillith! We're home!"

...

"Lillith?" Samantha asks as she'd expected their daughter to barrel towards them as usual.

...

The parents look over and spot the entire group standing next to the hallway leading to the bedrooms...

"W-who are you!? How did yo get into our house!? What've you done with our daughter!?" Bill angrily exclaims as he steps towards the kitchen to grab a knife... Only to drop to the floor unconscious by an Erase spell, courtesy of Michael.

"WHA-"*Thud!* Samantha next drops, leaving both asleep on the floor and missing their most recent memories.

"B-bro! What the hell!?" Lillith almost shrieks.

He shrugs, "As far as I'm concerned, I'm as dead to them as they are to me. I don't want any sort of relationship with them other than as a dead son..." he says, walking over and tossing them both onto the couch... No way was he giving up his and Tiffania's bed for these people, even if it was technically their bed in the first place.

"B-but..." she trails off, unsure of what to say.

"Are you sure, Michael? These are your parents..." Tiffania questions.

He nods, "I'm sure. I know it seems a bit, much, but I honestly don't want anything to do with them. Alright?"

...

"Alright..."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The group spends a week milling about the place, exploring different parts of Britain with Lillith... Her bully no longer dared to even speak to her, so her school life was improving much.

They were all say around the T.V eating takeaway when a news story pops up, drawing all their attention.

"Conflicts in the Middle East have come to a complete halt due to mysterious massacres occurring in the region. Sources say a 'Shadow', infiltrated their camps and butchered everyone holding a weapon...

The U.S President made his suspicions of a secret foreign super weapon known, while all other powers have unilateral denied such capabilities. A true explanation has not yet been found, but we have an expert on Advanced Technological Warefare to illuminate the situation to us... Hello, Tom? Can you tell us your thoughts about these mysterious events?"

"Well, first off, my name isn't Tom, it's Alex. And second, it's those god-damned aliens! Beaming down from their butt-hole ships and interfering in human conflicts like the 'GODS' they pretend to be! YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT! I KNOW YOU'RE WATCHING YOU CATTLE STEALING EGG-HEADS!" the man roars towards the camera, sending spit and spittle flying everywhere.

"AND DON'T THINK I FORGOT WHAT YOU'RE PUTTING IN THE WATER! TURNING FRIGGAN FROGS GA-"

"Ooo-kay, thanks for your thoughts, Tom!" the news presented says, abruptly cutting the 'expert' off, "In other unrelated stories, the U.S and other Western countries are experiencing massive Oil shortages!"

...

"Michael..." Saya utters as the entire group stares at him, well aware that he was probably responsible for this.

...

"What? I just took a trip and fixed some problems... That's all!"

...

He shakes his head, "Alright, since we're on the 'judging' stage of this, I think it's time for us to go back to Tamriel..." he says, changing the subject.

"What? So soon bro?" Lillith asks, upset at the prospect of him leaving.

He nods while grinning at the change in atmosphere, "Don't worry though, we'll come back to visit. It won't be for ever... It's just that there's a bunch of shit that we're basically ignoring by being here... You know, dragons..."

...

"Can I come?" she asks.

He shakes his head, "Sorry, but I'm not taking you to Tamriel until Alduin is dead. I'm not going to risk your safety on Surtr's ability to meet his destiny..."

...

"I hate you!" she exclaims, running to her bedroom to sulk.

Tiffania sighs, "I'll speak with her... Just try not to start or end any more wars, Michael. I might not be familiar with this world, but I know your actions have probably just made things worse..." she says before leaving.

Saya nods in agreement with her, "She's right... The West still needs oil, and without any conflicts to help extract it they'll have to find another way... They'll probably just invade these countries without all the subterfuge they're doing now..."

Michael shrugs, "At least now everyone can see the blatant corruption and self-interest. The people of the West will know that it's nothing but greed that leads to children getting bombed..."

Hope you bois liked the chap, if I missed anything please let me know. Thanks!
