Moving day

Moving day finally came, and the dorms were loud with everyone moving through the halls trying to find their way around. Taehyung was glad he and Jimin had decided to come early, and now they were mostly done unpacking. Taehyung had decided to decorate the whole dorm before Jungkook arrived so that it would look nice. He thought tit was the least he could do for how much he had bugged Jungkook since they met. Now that he had finished unpacking he wasn't sure what to do with himself. Jimin had met his roommate and they had decided to go eat together and get o know each other better. Yoongi had admitted that he wasn't very good at texting, he preferred face-to-face interactions.

Jimin opened up more knowing it wasn't because he was just a rude jerk. So he agreed to go have lunch together which got a small smile from the shy Yoongi. Taehyung was so happy to hear that they seemed to be getting along so far. This made him wish Jungkook would finally arrive, so they could do some roommate bonding as well. He had even brought a screen and projector from home to create their own cinema kind of thing for their room, and he had to admit it would be awesome to watch High School Musical on that giant screen while singing along.

When he saw the time on his phone said 8:45 he felt himself get excited, Jungkook had said he would be there around 9. The minutes passed so slow and Taehyung had just decided to lay on his bed and scroll through twitter. All his friends were posting photos with their roommates looking happy and friendly, and there he was waiting. He was sad being left out, but happy to see how well everyone seemed to be getting along so far. Its was 9:30 now and still no Jungkook. Taehyung had resisted texting the other today because he knew Jungkook would be busy, and he didn't want to bother him.

It was getting dangerously close to 10 am when Taehyung couldn't hold back anymore.

Taehyung: hi Jungkook-ssi….ummm…sorry to bother you but I thought you said you would be here by 9?

Taehyung: I was just checking on you is all….hope you are ok

Taehyung: Well I wanted to be here so the door would be open for you, but if you are going to be late I should go eat. Uh I guess let me know when you get here….

Jungkook:….you were waiting?

Taehyung: Jungkook-ssi! Yes I waited because its pretty crazy right now and I thought I would leave the door unlocked for you, and later you could pick up your key. But it got kind of late and now I'm kind of starving, but I don't want to leave the door unlocked.

Jungkook: oh….uh….I got stuck in traffic.

Taehyung: oh ok! How far away are you?

Jungkook: maybe another 30 minutes

Taehyung: Ok well then I will go get food and come back so I can be here when you arrive. Did you want me to bring you back anything?

Jungkook: Uh…you would do that?

Taehyung: Of course silly, what are roommates for?!

Jungkook: Oh uh ok, can you bring a banana milk for me?

Taehyung: You like banana milk? That's so cute! Sure we have plenty of space in the mini fridge so I'll grab a couple!

Jungkook: Oh uh thanks. I'll pay you back when I get there.

Taehyung: Are you kidding? No you are not paying me back! Ok see you soon!

Jungkook: wait!

Jungkook: Taehyung?

Jungkook: ok….nevermind.

Taehyung was so happy that Jungkook would be arriving soon, he and didn't want to miss his reaction when he saw their room for the first time. She rushed to the closest convenient store and grabbed a bunch of random snacks and enough ramen for the week plus at least 10 banana milk. He wanted Jungkook to like him, so he planned to bribe his way into his roommate's good graces. He knew that this might be the kind of thing someone like Jungkook would hate, but he couldn't help himself. Once he had paid he started making his way toward the University dorms, passing several people who seemed to be watching him.

Most light creatures had seen a fairy before so other than admiring how handsome Taehyung was, they would move past quickly without watching him. Now that there were dark creatures in the school he noticed more people who would simply watch him. He figured it was because they had perhaps never seen a fairy before. He was used to the attention, but for some reason this was making him a little uncomfortable. Thankfully Jimin and his roommate were also heading back and Jimin caught sight of Taehyung and waved him over.

Jimin noticed Taehyung was a little uncomfortable.

"Hey Tae are you ok?" Jimin asked.

Tae leaned in and whispered to his friend. "I feel like everyone is watching me."

Jimin lifted his head and looked around noticing all the looks as well.

"Uh maybe lets go inside." Jimin said locking their arms together.

Yoongi noticed something was wrong.

"Hey! Wait, what's wrong?" He asked grabbing Jimin's arm before they could leave.

Jimin got closer and whispered. "Uh, some of the new students are watching Tae, he is a little uncomfortable."

Yoongi looked around them and shook his head in annoyance. He took a deep breath and let out a deep low growl that felt like it vibrated the ground where they stood. The students all went wide eyed and started rushing away. Jimin and Taehyung looked shocked by Yoongi's actions and were frozen where they stood.

"What was that?" Jimin asked.

"What? It's an alpha growl, most creatures can't resist it even if they aren't wolves." Yoongi replied.

"Alpha?" Jimin asked confused.

"Yeah. Why?" Yoongi asked.

"Your student information said you were a beta." Jimin replied.

"Oh….guess they messed up." Yoongi said shrugging and turning to walk inside.

Jimin and Taehyung looked at each other still a little stunned by this new information. Yoongi turned when he noticed the others hadn't moved.

"Are you guys coming?' He asked.

"Oh uh yeah coming!" Jimin said shaking out of it and following his roommate inside.

Taehyung went back to his room and let out a sigh of relief, but before h could fully relax he heard a sound from the bathroom. He froze and waited to see if another sound could be heard. He grabbed the heaviest object in arms reach of him and walked slowly toward the noise. He heard footsteps coming in his direction and closed his eyes hitting the person coming out of the bathroom several times.

"What the hell?!" Yelled the person followed by several groans of pain.

"Stop thief!!!!" Taehyung yelled continuing to hit the person.

"God! Ow! Stop! I live here!!!!!" The person yelled.

Taehyung finally stopped and opened his eyes slowly to see a boy covering his head with his arms.

"Jungkook?" Taehyung asked cautiously.

"Yeah!!! Why are you attacking me?!" He said annoyed.

Taehyung dropped the book he had used as a weapon and rushed toward Jungkook.

"Oh my gosh Jungkook I am so sorry I thought some one broke in!" Taehyung said grabbing Jungkook into a hug.

Jungkook froze from the contact, he was not used to being hugged. Taehyung was too releaved that Jungkook had not been a burglar that he didn't think that maybe the other wouldn't want to be touched. Not until he felt Jungkook stiffen under his touch and Taehyung let out an awkward laugh and pulled away.

"Uh…sorry…." Taehyung said feeling embarrassed.

"Uh, it's uh fine…" Jungkook said turning and walking toward his other boxes.

Taehyung mentally punched himself for already making things awkward, before turning and putting on a fake smile to officially meet his roommate in a less awkward way.

"So umm….its nice to finally meet you in person Jungkook-ssi!" Taehyung said happily.

"Mhm." Jungkook replied opening one of the boxes.

"So how did you get in?" Taehyung asked.

"The residence office. They weren't too busy when I arrived." Jungkook replied.

"Oh that's good! Do you have more stuff or is this it?" Taehyung asked.

"Uh no this is it." Jungkook replied.

Taehyung looked at the four boxes a little surprised.

"You didn't bring very much." Taehyung said with a shy laugh.

"Well, I don't need much. The basics are enough." Jungkook replied.

"Well, I hope you are ok with how I arranged he dorm! If you don't like something we can change it!" Taehyung said moving around to face Jungkook better.

"Uh no it's fine." Jungkook replied not looking up.

"oh uh I am glad! Did you see the screen I hung? We can have movie nights!" Taehyung said happily.

"I don't really have much time to watch movies." Jungkook said putting several black shirts into his drawers.

Taehyung watched for a minute and noticed a lot of black in Jungkook's wardrobe. Even his high top boots were scary looking and black. Taehyung watched his roommate while he unpacked. From his clothes he looked dark and intimidating but as he unpacked he kept making this pouty face that just did not fit. Like he looked like a cute baby but dressed all dark and brooding. Taehyung couldn't help but le out a little giggle. The sound broke through the silence loudly, and broke through Jungkook's own thoughts.

"What?" Jungkook asked looking at Taehyung a little confused.

"Oh nothing, it's just…do you know that you pout when you concentrate." Taehyung said smiling.

"What?! No, I don't." Jungkook said feeling a little embarrassed but going back to unpacking.

"You do, but it's cute! Anyway, are you hungry? I brought ramen!" Taehyung said standing and walking over to the bag of items he had bought earlier.

He lifted the bag walking over to the mini fridge and placing the man banana milks inside. The noise caught Jungkook's attention and he watched Taehyung place several banana milks away.

"What are you doing?" Jungkook asked surprised.

Taehyung was a little confused by the question but answered without looking up.

"Putting your banana milk away! I don't want it to go bad!" Taehyung replied

Jungkook did not know what to say seeing all the milks being stored away. Why had Taehyung bought so many?

"Ok! All done! I'll start warming up the water!" Taehyung said turning to their little kitchen.

It was not so much a kitchen, more like a kitchenet. An area with a counter and small sink, and under the counter was room for the mini fridge with a couple of cabinets. Jungkook watched Taehyung pull out an electric cook top and a small pot and began making the ramen for the both of them. Everything about this day was so strange for Jungkook, he had never been around someone like Taehyung. Someone so caring and nice, it seemed so strange. Jungkook realized he had been staring too long and opened the next box he had to unpack. There was a little dresser across the foot of his bed and he used the area to store his new course books among the other books he brought from home.

As he was organizing the books he looked up and noticed a single succulent. It was small and had a bright yellow pot. What is the purpose for this tiny plant? He picked it up and examined it further, even smelling it. It didn't have a particularly nice smell, so why would it be a desired plant to have? Taehyung turned and saw Jungkook looking at the small plant.

"Sorry is that in your way?" Taehyung asked walking toward Jungkook.

"Uh, no….but what is it? What purpose does it have?" Jungkook asked seeming genuinely confused.

Taehyung smiled a little. How can he be so confused and cute?

"It's a small plant called a succulent! It's cute and mostly just to add a little greenery to a room that doesn't need much care. What do you think of it? I picked out for you!" Taehyung replied with a smile.

"I guess its nice. I don't know much about taking care of plants." Jungkook said setting it down again.

"Oh don't worry it just need a little water here and there, but I can take care of that!" Taehyung said smiling and turning back to cooking.

Jungkook had never met anyone like Taehyung before, and he found his new roommate kind of fascinating. Soon Taehyung walked slowly over with two bowls of ramen and they sat quietly and ate. Jungkook had never tasted anything so good and ate it quickly. Watching Jungkook enjoy the food made Taehyung smile, he was happy to see Jungkook enjoy the food. When Jungkook had finished he sat quietly for a second glancing across the table. He was not sure what to say or do everything about interacting with someone like Taehyung was so new for him.

"Um, thank you." He said.

Taehyung looked up and smiled. "No problem Jungkook-ssi. I'm glad you liked it!"

Jungkook took a sip of his banana milk and looked up at Taehyung again. He had not really looked at him properly until now and they had not seen each other until today. He noticed just how handsome Taehyung was, and he found himself glancing every few seconds. Taehyung could feel Jungkook looking at him, but he pretended to just be enjoying his food. He smiled to himself while taking the final bites of his food.

"I don't know how to cook." Jungkook said suddenly.

"Oh?" Taehyung said looking up.

Jungkook shook his head no and dropped his gaze again. Taehyung watched how shy he became and once again though to himself how cute Jungkook was. He was not at all what Taehyung had expected. Jungkook had seemed so cold, angry and distant. Now it seemed like he was just a shy, and Taehyung couldn't help but notice that he was very handsome.

"I don't mind cooking for us, if you want that is." Taehyung offered.

"Um, sure. Your food is pretty good. Thank you hyung." Jungkook replied.

Taehyung's face lite up at Jungkook calling him hyung, it made him sound so small and cute. He smiled happily. Things were going well so far, and that was enough to make Taehyung mark this day as a success!

"So what do have planned for after you are done unpacking?" Taehyung asked taking both their bowls and setting them in the sink.

"Uh, nothing." Jungkook replied.

"How about we hang out together and try out the projector!" Taehyung said excitedly sitting back in his chair.

Jungkook paused as he saw the other almost skip over. His eyes widened from the sight of he other rushing over, which resulted in a full laugh from Taehyung.

"Sorry Jungkook-ssi! I am just excited, I didn't mean to scare you!" Taehyung said resting his hand on Jungkook's arm apologetically.

"oh no you didn't scare me, I was just a little surprised." Jungkook replied relaxing.

"Oh Ok. So what kind of movies do you like?" Taehyung asked.

"I don't watch too many, so I don't really know." Jungkook said.

"Hmm….do you like Disney movies?" Taehyung asked with a big grin.

"I don't think I have seen any." Jungkook said.

This made Taehyung's smile drop a little. "Not even as a child?"

Jungkook shook his head, and Taehyung's smile dropped into a pout. This resulted in a confused expression from Jungkook.

"Ok well, then first we are going to change that! We will watch High School Musical! It's one of my favorites!" Taehyung said pulling Jungkook and taking him by the arm and sitting him down on his bed.

"Get comfortable, because we have all three to go through!" Taehyung said closing the curtains and turning on the projector.

Their first movie night.
