Zhang Ke gazes at the powerful figures around him with wide eyes. He doubted his ears. These are the same individuals who have extolled the virtues of Immortal Sword Hill to other nations.

Now, those same people were aiming to use that very immortal corpse for their own benefit!

"Your Majesty, this isn't right!" 

"You dare raise your voice against your king! Watch your mouth, Lord Zhang, or you might be considered a threat to the king," Deng Xiao sneered.

Zhang Ke trembled furiously. This was a blatant threat and no one spoke against it!

"Your Majesty, we cannot desecrate this immortal's body! He—!"

"Zhang Ke, he is dead! Stop with these stupid sentiments! His death is the reason for our current power, and now, with his body, we can grow even more powerful." The king's voice thundered.

"Y… your majesty!" Zhang Ke staggered backward. 

"Dismember the body. The tendons belong to me. You can share the other parts," the king continued.
