Zamir took off his sunshade as he stepped into the pizzeria. He thought to go straight to the counter and ask to see Luke immediately but decided against it so he went to take a seat in the last booth and signalled a waitress over.

"good afternoon, what would you like to order?" the lady asked bringing out her notepad and pencil, ready to take his order and chewing on gum loudly like a brothel slut which ofcourse did not sit well with Zamir.

Zamir regarded the waitress with great contempt before picking the menu "okay I'll have.... could you please try and chew less noisily?" he almost yelled when he couldn't bear it anymore

"sorry" the waitress apologized with a smile which wasn't noticed since Zamir's gaze was no longer on her

"I'll just have a pepperoni and a big coke to go" he completed his ordered without looking up at the waitress and didn't also noticed as she stuck out her tongue to him on her way to get his order.

"it's not everytime one gets to be graced by the great Jerk Jackson's presence" a nasty amused voiced said behind him.

He didn't need to turn to know that it was the man he had come here to see. He rolled his eyes at the man and stared at him with a look of displeasure as Luke took his seat opposite him

"fuck you Luke" he said when the other man was seated across him with a sly grin on his face

"to what does this humble peasant owes this visit... your majesty" Luke shrugged grinning like a mad man.

"or has his majesty come to take away my business?."

Zamir scoffed "really Luke, fuck you" he stated before sitting up properly "how's business?" he asked

"good good"

"Luke don't ever send anyone to me regarding matters of your business, whatever you chose to do with this place is none of my concern"

"stop making me feel like a jerk" he said his voice sounding serious. the frown on his face deepened in annoyance seeing the smug look on Luke's face

Luke in turn raised his hands in surrender with his smug grin still intact "okay I got it..."

"... I won't send anyone to you again and I will stop making you feel like a jerk that you really are"

"got it" Luke added fueling the already simmering anger inside Zamir.

The waitress arrived with his order and he dug his wallet out of his suit jacket but he was stopped "it's on the house" Luke said with a smile.

Zamir didn't bother arguing with him. he got up and picked his order and Left without saying goodbye but Luke who enjoyed picking on him shouted behind him "goodbye your majesty".

Zamir took a deep breath and knocked on the door. He straightened up nervously when he heard footsteps approach from inside the house and wore a big smile when the woman he'd come to see opened up

Helen was surprised to see Zamir when she opened the door. She became worried immediately and wondered what her son had done again but she tried not to show it and smiled "Mr Jackson, hello" she said and stepped away opening the door wider "please come in"

Zamir thanked her as he walked in. He sat on the only couch in the small apartment living room and placed the pizza on the table.

"did Noah do anything wrong?" Helen asked still bothered by the unexpected visit

"no ofcourse not" Zamir laughed nervously "I.... I was wondering if we could have lunch together?" he said pointing at the pizza and coke on the table.

"you don't mind, do you?" he asked seeing the poor woman eyes widen in surprise. of course she should be, who wouldn't be surprised knowing how he'd treated the woman when she was working for him.

"Helen--"

"YES" she shrieked loudly and rushed to get them plates from the adjoining kitchen

Helen began conversing with Zamir to ease the tension in the air and to her surprise, he responded well and soon they both began to gossip and laugh all through their entire lunch.

When it was time for Zamir to take his leave, he got up and held Helen's hand "Helen I have something to tell you"

"oh what is that?" Helen asked her worries coming back. she had been trying to guess the reason Zamir had come to visit all afternoon but she couldn't place her finger on it.

Zamir sighed. He had never thought he would be in a situation such as this in his entire life, even as he stood in front of the lady, he still found it difficult but he didn't seem to have much of an option "i'm sorry"

Helen's frown deepened in confusion "for what?". she winced a little when Zamir squeezed her hand a bit hard.

"for everything" he said sniffling, his eyes turning red and looked as if he might begin to cry soon "i'm so sorry"

Helen sighed in pity. she pulled him closer and hugged him, her hands running up and down his back "it's alright now, you should know i'm not one to hold a grudge"

"i'm sorry..." he said again "... and I really love those doughnuts..."

"you did?" i'm glad to hear that" Helen said pulling away slowly to look at the once arrogant young man who now looked very docile. she suspects her son must have something to do with this but she kept that to herself.

Zamir hesitated "...if you need any help, you can always..... I'd be willing to help"

"ofcourse I'll be needing help, come by sometimes and make those doughnuts with me" Helen said happily.

Zamir smiled at her and nodded. He thanked her and said his goodbye as he walked out of the apartment.

He breathe a sigh of relief as he ran down the stairs. That wasn't so bad he thought and smiled at himself. He was feeling proud of himself at the moment, until his phone vibrated in his pocket

He didn't bother to check who it was "i'm on my way Sophie" he said into the phone and hung up.
