Oliver eyed him. “I still don’t really know what went down, though.”
Matt didn’t know whether Oliver was really in the dark, or if he was just making it seem that way to make Matt feel better.
“Maybe he’ll tell me some day,” Oliver said. “I don’t need to know, though, not if he doesn’t want to tell me. I would just like to be there for him, in any way that I can.”
Wow. Hook and sinker. Real bad, Matt smiled ruefully“Listen, Oliver. I don’t think my uncle or I have had the time to properly thank you. I don’t know what would have happened to Brian if you weren’t there. Thank you for your help. But I’m not sure there’s much else you can do right now, other than just keeping things to yourself. For Brian’s sake.”
