Threatened

Deep black sky embellished with tiny little lights scattered across the sky. The moon stood lucid at one edge of this magnificent view, shining not too brightly, just enough to glow up the night sky.

The night was blissful, even more peaceful and could drift one to sleep through the sound of the cold night wind on leaves dangling on trees. It was like a lullaby of it's own.

Yet...

The night wasn't so peaceful as it appeared, to some people. While majority slept and snored from beautiful dreams the night brought. A certain family was not only awake but we're on the verge of tearing the city down with their anger.

In the Andres house.

Suzy was standing in the middle of the broad sitting room. An anxious expression on her face and a large patch of black stain on her dress. She looked miserable.

"Wench repeat what you just said?!" Grandma Andres shouted on the tip of her voice. Her tone sounded Skrill and angry.

Suzy bit her lips and didn't say a word.

After leaving the restaurant, she had spent hours trekking round town as she didn't have the heart to go home and tell her mother-in-law and her husband that she had failed in the mission they gave to her. She could imagine what Grandma Andres would do to her if she went back home empty-handed.

No money and moreso she didn't get to threaten Gisele into leaving the entertainment industry.

She had even been the one that ended up getting threatened.

Grandma Andres might just have her head on the dinner platter.

No matter how she wanted to hide her failure, she couldn't possibly sleep on the streets, so after roaming for a few hours she got on a taxi and headed home.

But it was just as she expected.

A hot cup of coffee was spilled on her body after she announced she had failed to convince Gisele. She was scarred from the hot liquid, yet she didn't dare make a sound as she watched Grandma Andres fume.

"What do you mean she refused to listen to you? Are you trying to lie to us?!" Grandma Andres questioned hysterically.

"Aunty Suzy must have gotten greedy after receiving all those wealth. She wants to hide them off for herself" Roxanne joined in accusing the elderly woman.

Suzy was at a loss of what to say, she tried speaking but her voice was swallowed up by sounds of Grandma Andres and Roxanne's accusations.

Still she defended herself "no no that is not true"

"It's not true?! What is not true? We all know there is no way Gisele can refuse what you tell her. So how could She not have given you money like you asked?"

Suzy was asking herself the same questions. Gisele had always been submissive to her but the Gisele she met in that restaurant was not the daughter she used to know. There was no iota of warmth in her eyes and her words were exceptionally cold and distant.

Could she really had cut all ties with her like she said?

"She didn't give anything to me. She said we were not worth a dime" She said a little bit agitated.

The mother and granddaughter pair were definitely the cause!

If they had not made her maltreat the girl in the time past then she probably would have been able to get some wealth from her now. Although this was how Suzy felt she didn't have the guts to say it. If she happens to argue with Grandma Andres and Roxanne, her husband would immediately throw her out of the house.

"What?!"

"She said that?!"

Suzy nodded her head "She said if there was anything we deserve it was Humiliation and disgrace and that she would give these to us if we ever get to seek her out again"

The faces of the Andres family turned Ashen after hearing this. Even Raoul who hadn't said a word since frowned. They were not frightened by Gisele's threat, rather they felt insulted.

How dare Gisele!

They should be the one giving threats and not the one receiving them.

"How dare that brat?! Who does she think she is?!"

"Grandma see, I told you she no longer put this family in her eyes. We must seem pathetic to her now that she has a rich man's lap to lie on" Roxanne complained with clenched fist.

Being someone's toy was not what she ever wished to happen to her but still, seeing Gisele live exorbitantly from it made her jealous and unhappy.

That bitch is not worth a penny! She should be wearing tattered clothes and begging money from her! But now reverse was the case. Not only was she the one trying to squeeze out some cash from Gisele but she was also the one being threatened by her.

How Annoying!

"You old wench!" The old lady picked up a decorative apple from the table and tossed it at Suzy. Her force wasn't much but still it hurt to be stoned anyway. The apple landed on Suzy's left eyes making her stagger backwards.

A stinging sensation was left were she was stoned but she didn't lift her hand to rub it. She stood there bitting her lips. She looked pitiful yet the man who called himself her husband said no words in her defence. Like his family, there was a judging look on his face and discontent in his eyes.

"See the kind of daughter you raised! A daughter that is irresponsible and has no filial piety! How could she threaten her grandmother and family!" The old woman shouted at the top of her lungs.

If Gisele was here she would probably be used how righteously those words flew out of her mouth.

Grandmother?

What a joke!

Has the old lady ever considered herself her grandmother?

She would lose count if she tried to remember all the times she was fiercely reminded not to ever call Grandma Andres grandma. Yet here she was speaking of filial piety.

How amusing!

"That girl is trying to rebel against us. She must think she is rich enough to do whatever she wants now. Hmph!" Grandma Andres snorted.

"Suzy is this how you train your daughter?" A cold voice rang out.

Suzy shivered fearfully while a triumphant smile appeared on Grandma Andres and Roxanne's face. Just how Gisele would do anything that her mother asks, Suzy would do anything that her husband asks.

"No..." Suzy tried to explain but she was cut off.

"I don't care how you do it. Get that ungrateful girl to come apologize for Insulting my family. Also she must comply to every of our demands. Is that clear?!" He stood up and left after this.

Suzy bit her lips but still nodded. It was going to be hard. She had no way of contacting Gisele unless going to the company like she had done so how was she supposed to get her to come.

She was also scared by what Gisele had said. What if her husband really does act against her if she showed up at the company.

"You better do what your husband has asked or don't blame us if we remove your names from the family register and throw you out of this house. Hmph!" The Old lady snorted then strutted out of the sitting room with Roxanne following after her.

Suzy was left alone in her confusion.

Things she had gotten herself in for love. What a despicable love.
