The gentle wind blew slowly, moving the strands of hair of Jiro and Takeshi as they relaxed in the backyard of their home. The two friends had been through good and bad times together since childhood, growing into young men who are now 25 years old.
Jiro, with his jet-black hair and handsome face, was the perfect figure between the two of them. Both physically and intellectually, he always stood out in every situation. Meanwhile, Takeshi, with his simple appearance and average abilities, seemed to be a shadow of Jiro in their lives.
"Hey, Jiro. Have you ever thought about what it would be like if we were summoned to another world?" Takeshi asked suddenly, breaking the silence between them.
Jiro turned, raising an eyebrow at his friend. "Another world? Hmm, I don't know. I've never thought about something like that. Why?"
Takeshi shrugged. "Just curious. What if we met a god and he offered us powers or anything we wanted?" His eyes sparkled, imagining the possibilities.
"Power, huh?" Jiro chuckled. "I think I'm already strong enough with my abilities. But you, maybe you could ask for a little luck for your always unlucky life."
Takeshi pouted, pretending to be offended. "Hey, don't tease me all the time. One day, I will find my own happiness, just you wait!"
Takeshi looked at his friend sitting across from him with envious eyes, he didn't like his friend. The reason was simple: this person was always near him wherever he went.
Takeshi recalled memories from the past, during school days. He liked a girl, but the girl liked his friend Jiro.
It made him really resent his friend because he always disrupted his good plans. He sighed heavily, leaned back on the chair, and looked at the sky with a weary gaze.
Suddenly, a bright light dazzled their eyes, forcing Jiro and Takeshi to close them. When they opened their eyes again, the scenery around them had changed. No longer were they in the backyard, but in a magnificent room adorned with intricate carvings on the walls.
"W-What happened?" Takeshi stammered, looking around in a panic.
A towering figure stood before them, emanating an aura of power. "Welcome, young ones. I am the God who summoned you here."
Jiro and Takeshi glanced at each other, unable to believe what had just happened.
Jiro and Takeshi stood frozen, staring at the deity standing with a powerful aura. They never expected to be suddenly summoned to another world like this.
"God... Are you the one who brought us here?" asked Jiro, trying to hide his surprise.
"Yes, indeed." The God nodded with a radiant face. "I have been watching you both for some time. You two are very close friends, perfect for the mission I have in mind."
"Of course, I will not give a mission for free; I want to offer you a chance to fulfill your heart's deepest desires."
Takeshi was silent for a moment, then asked hesitantly, "Our heart's desires? What do you mean, God?"
The God smiled gently. "Yes, your deepest desires. I will grant whatever you wish for, be it power, wealth, or love. Tell me, what do you desire?"
Hearing the tempting offer, Takeshi immediately became excited. His eyes gleamed, imagining all the possibilities that could come true.
"Really, God? Can I ask for anything I want?" he asked enthusiastically.
Jiro eyed Takeshi with an investigative look. He knew well his friend's tendency to desire extravagant things. However, he decided to wait and see what Takeshi would wish for.
"Of course, young one. Whatever you ask, I shall grant," replied the God firmly.
Takeshi seemed to ponder for a moment, then said with full confidence, "In that case, I want to have a girlfriend who is a cute and beautiful fox girl!"
Jiro was stunned to hear Takeshi's request. He never expected his friend to ask for something so peculiar.
The God appeared somewhat surprised as well, but then he smiled broadly. "Very well, your request shall be granted. Prepare yourself, Takeshi, for your wish is about to come true!"
Takeshi could not hide his joy. He imagined himself having a beautiful fox girl as a girlfriend. Yet, Jiro could only shake his head, not believing what had just transpired.
The God raised his hand and spoke with a firm voice, "Your wish will soon be fulfilled, Takeshi."
Suddenly, a magic circle appeared beneath Takeshi's feet, emitting a very bright light. Takeshi was startled and stepped back, but he could not escape the circle.
"W-What's happening?" Takeshi shouted in panic.
Jiro tried to approach his friend, but his steps halted when he saw the transformation taking place on Takeshi. Slowly, Takeshi's body began to change, his black hair lengthening and turning snow-white. He also felt something strange at the back of his body.
When the light finally subsided, Takeshi was no longer standing there. Instead, a beautiful girl with long white hair and nine splendid fox tails stood in his place.
The nine-tailed fox girl looked at her hands and feet, now appearing different, as if they were not her own.
"W-What is this?!" Takeshi screamed in a voice that sounded soft and feminine. She looked down, shocked to see her completely changed appearance.
Jiro could only remain in place, unable to believe what had just happened before his eyes. His naïve friend had now transformed into a beautiful fox girl.
The God smiled broadly, "Now, Takeshi, your wish has been fulfilled. Welcome as a nine-tailed white fox girl!"
Takeshi, or more precisely, the nine-tailed white fox girl, looked at Jiro with a panicked face. She still could not accept the reality that she had turned into a girl.
"Jiro... What happened to me?" she asked in a gentle voice.
Jiro blinked, still unable to believe what was in front of him. His friend, who was once a man, had now turned into a beautiful girl with gorgeous fox tails.
"I-I don't know either," muttered Jiro, trying to comprehend the situation. "But it seems you got what you asked from the God."
The God smiled broadly, observing their reactions. "Exactly! Takeshi, you have become a nine-tailed white fox girl, as per your wish."
Takeshi looked at the God with panic. "But, God, I didn't ask to become a girl! I just wanted to have a girlfriend who is a beautiful fox girl!"
"Ah, there seems to be a slight misunderstanding here," said the God with an apologetic expression. "I thought you wanted to be the fox girl yourself. I'm sorry, but I cannot undo this transformation."
Jiro furrowed his brow. "Wait, so you're saying Takeshi will remain a fox girl permanently?"
"Of course!" replied the God cheerfully. "Takeshi, you now have the opportunity to experience life as a fox girl. Enjoy your adventure in this world!"
Takeshi was silent, still trying to process all of this. Jiro could see the panic and confusion on his friend's face. He wanted to help Takeshi, but he didn't know what to do.
