Goibniu was walking towards the Hephaestus Familia for his child's weekly status update, he sent him here last week to get closer with his fellow god of forging and hopefully get married in the future.

'I wonder if that kid finally obtain Hephaestus's heart? Nah, It's only been a week, I guess it would at least take a few years when he finally can give her an item to satisfy her'

He even accepts a loss in their negotiation to send him here for the opportunity and a justification for him to accept his request.

'I know I need a proper reason for him to obey or else he will just hole in his sparkling clean workshop until he saves enough money for his business, that reminds me who would even want to leave a profitable job!'

Goibniu grumbles in annoyance, he knows that his protégé wants to leave him after saving enough money, that's why he makes him his protégé and also half of the reason he wants him to marry Hephaestus, so he won't leave him and forging.

'He had the all hard work he requires but no, he hates it because it's dirty and smelly, geez ill smack him again if I see him.'

"Thankfully I lied about him receiving Mystery development ability while training in here as an additional reason.

A week ago he instructs (request) for David to train here to obtain the Mystery development ability but the truth is that ability can only be achieved if someone is creating a 'magic item' not a 'magic weapon'.

Tricking David to finally accept his command.

'I know that kid figures it now, but I guess he would include item creation besides weapon-making for his 'perfection', I would even bet that he will learn Mixing in the future, that kid is so greedy he don't even see us gods as the limit'

Goibniu finally sees the gate of Hephaestus Familia, but he can't help but click his tongue seeing the big difference in their Familia.

'Tsk, I might sound pathetic, but I'm only doing this for both of them, Hephaestus descended on Genkai for everyone's recognition and to be loved and accepted in spite of her cursed eye, that's why she declared that

and for the kid who will eventually reach the limit of his perfection, when that time come I want him to be content with his life, he barely has any friend except for his right hand'

"Where are they? It's already been an hour."

Goibniu asked the Hephaestus Familia captain on the side while tapping his feet on the floor in annoyance.

"Forgive me Goibniu-sama, but they are still in Hephaestus-sama smithy, they have been there since yesterday."

They are in Hephaestus's office since 7 in the morning because Hephaestus was not informed when she had already cleared her schedule for a month.

"What! David is forging?! Why haven't you told me earlier! I don't want to wait forever!"

Before Goibniu can grumble again, Hephaestus and David following her appeared at one of the doors exactly 8 in the morning.

"Sorry for the wait Goibniu, my schedule was supposed to be clear for a month that's why I haven't received any notice of your appointment."

Hephaestus sits on the opposite sofa instead of her chair, she's dealing with a fellow god and not some client, in addition, to David's father figure to boot.

"Is that so then it's fine, I'm here for David's weekly status update, it was supposed to be yesterday, but it seems he is preoccupied."

Goibniu can't complain when he is the reason for this arrangement, he glances at his child gently brewing a coffee on the side while Hephaestus was looking at him with a smile.

" I also want to ask about David's performance and the expedition arrangements."

Goibniu continued when he notices that Hephaestus was not even listening to him, when David was finished brewing he unconsciously reaches for the coffee, but Hephaestus snatched it without a drop.

"..."

Goibniu was surprised and glance at the happily sipping Hephaestus and at his child that was standing on her side. A tick mark appeared on his head, before he can speak Hephaestus replied.

"David is very talented, his problem of taking his time was also fixed, he also improved his material handling and finally created his first weapon with special ability today."

Hephaestus declared with a proud smile, Goibniu was surprised as well as Tsubaki on the side.

"In a week? Wait, I'm more surprised about his obsession with perfection was fixed, is it true?"

Goibniu was stupefied, while Hephaestus is just smiling.

"No, it's not the issue of perfection but him taking more time repeatedly perfecting his work. I know you were joking about him being talentless, but I think it's the reason why he is constantly refining what is already perfect"

Goibniu was confused and shocked at what his fellow god of forging was saying, he never joked about David's obsession or his talent, so he can only open his mouth while questioning.

"No, it's fine goddess Hephaestus it's not my god's fault, it was my mistake all alone."

David smirks while looking in his god face.

'Serves you right old fart, you think I would let you go after tricking me here?'

Hephaestus was pouting when David didn't call her by her name but can only sigh as they're not alone in here.

"I think I need to update your status already David, so I can confirm the 'change' occurred to you, I can only wholeheartedly thank you, Hephaestus, for your help"

Goibniu insists as he motions David to come near him with his hand raising, it also serves as a warning for David to behave, or he will receive another slap of love.
