It didn't take long when the servants arrived to help me remedy my headache and brought water to wash my face. They also brought clothes for me to wear. Although they didn't speak a word, I couldn't look at them in the eye. I wondered what they were thinking, that I stayed in Hugo's quarters.
They told me that Hugo ordered them that I should stay in his chambers to rest. Hence, when they left, I was alone with myself and the memories I had last night.
"I don't want to drink anymore," I mumbled with a frown, pulling up the quilt over half of my lower face while glaring at the ceiling. "No wonder Alice was like a different person. I was like a different person last night too..."
Not that what I told Hugo wasn't the truth. Actually, all the words I told him... were the words I couldn't say while sober. I was just too worried about many factors. But last night, I had this unlimited source of courage that I just uttered everything without thinking twice.
