Chap. 002 - Manipulating Skills

Yue Yin couldn't hold but be mad.

"He's sick. Do you deserve to insult him like that?" Yue Yin attacked for no reason and was irritated. She was used to Mei Li's annoying nature. But unfortunately, why did this girl never soften when no matter how much she has grown.

Yue Yin then turned side to her father.

"Dad... I beg you to surcease this. You can't possibly marry me off to the son of their family, can you? It was Mei Li who originally wanted to marry him. So do it until the end and don't involve me! Because I don't want to get married yet! You can't force me! And nobody of you all has the right!!"

Chang Ge did the same thing as his second daughter. He slapped Yue Yin's face and was at the same place where Mei Li left a red mark on Yue Yin's left cheek.

Yue Yin gasped. It took her longer to be shocked, digesting the treatment she had received and looking for justification.

"Dad... you slapped me?" asked Yue Yin, wide-eyed in disbelief.

Chang Ge didn't show any guilt.

"That's true! Of course, I have to! How dare you give me orders and beg like a puppy?! Do you think I ever listened to you?!" Chang Ge said angrily.

He was prone to get indignant if Yue Yin disobeyed his order. That rude attitude prompted a sly smile to be etched arrogantly on the corners of Mei Li's thin lips who were satisfied to see her father's anger so right on target.

"You have to remember! The decision to get married was not solely my decision! If I could do something about it, I certainly wouldn't have bothered to marry you off with him. I don't have the best concern for planning your future wedding either!"

Yue Yin felt her heart to be hurt. She restrained himself to calm and persisted in persuading.

"Then if so, talk to them again. I told you I don't want to do this marriage. So talk to them again! And don't blame me!!"

Chang Ge almost slapped Yue Yin once again.

"You..."

Yue Yin retreated even faster. He laughs at the image of a dream family in her far-fetched wishful thinking.

"Why does dad keep slapping me? Either if I did wrong or not. It's so simple for you to put your hand on my face!"

At this time, Chang Ge raised his index finger in surprise that his annoying daughter had dared to speak up.

"You really are an ungrateful princess! It's still good that someone wants to marry you! Even the choices that came were far better than they should be. To the point, I don't know for whatever reason prompted them to choose you!"

Chang Ge continued to rumble. He had lost his temper. This thing did not go according to his original plan. Chang Ge was still looking for faults that might have gone unnoticed.

"His lifespan is very short. He won't last for a year. That's why so many girls line up to be his wife. Yet you dare refused it? You think they will stay silent?" said Chang Ge who didn't expect Yue Yin to be so arrogant.

Mei Li was frustrated and irritated.

"Dad!!! Quan Li Jian is mine! I even had the chance to brag about our marriage in front of my friends! So you want your sweet daughter to be humiliated?!"

Chang Ge was getting more and more awry. He then approached his proud daughter.

"That's not what I would, honey. But the matter is, they would agree if it was Yue Yue and not you!"

Mei Li stomped her foot hard.

"I fixed don't want to know about it! I have to marry that sick man and become a rich widow after he dies!!"

Yue Yin was taken aback. She couldn't hide his surprise at facing Mei Li's evil plans with her father. She knew her family was obsessed with getting richer. But she haven't ever thought that her stepfather and stepsister had such inhuman thoughts.

Yue Yin pondered alone for a while. Her heart was racing. She still believed that her father could not possibly listen to her wish. He preferred to sacrifice his daughter who he doesn't want, in order to maintain his pride and plans.

Even though the partner to be married off to the son of the Quan family was her. Technically, this marriage stayed in the line with her father's wish to get unite the two families. Namely, the Wen family and the Quan family.

Her father was probably annoyed that his plans had digressed a bit.

But regardless of who the partner married was, the surname would rise once the Wen family merged with the Quan family.

Yue Yin who was restless, couldn't bear this pain alone. She denounced her father's whole crazy plan to Fang Yi, her best friend for a dozen years. As well as being a place to complain about any life problems that bother her.

Fang Yi's reaction matched Yue Yin's expectations. She was flabbergasted as soon as she managed to get the gist of Yue Yin's colossal story. Even Fang Yi almost thought what he heard was not real.

"You're planning on getting married? Then, your father and stepsisters planned it?"

Fang Yi was beyond amazed.

"He has now started to think about your future?" she asked doubtfully.

Fang Yi's statement was immediately corrected.

"It wasn't what they wanted in the first place. It's just that Mei Li failed to become the daughter-in-law of the Quan family. Then, instead, all of those plans failed miserably. That abstruse marriage was passed on to me instead."

Fang Yi shook her head and then clapped her hands.

"Woarr!! Amazing!! Where do they have the skill to manipulate situations so cleverly?"

Yue Yin was getting much better after hearing Fang Yi's sarcasm. She thought it wouldn't be bad to tell Fang Yi about this matter directly.

"That's why I'm so frustrated, Fang-Fang. Isn't that right? You also feel that this whole thing is very unfair to me!? Don't you think so?" Only to Fang Yi, Yue Yin could show her spoiled and clumsy side. Yue Yin scowled sadly and then asked for concern.

Fang Yi was still trying to imagine the current situation.

"But how did that happen? Why would the Quan family want you to marry their youngest son? Have you guys met each other? Then, have cultivated feelings?" she asked, looking for a drama that might fit into Yue Yin's wedding storyline.

Yue Yin's gaze turned to be sour.

Even though she already knew a bit knowing Fang Yi cares about you. But Fang Yi still asked a stupid question.

"Where have we met? Their families are closed off and forbid any media from covering any stories about them! I'm even having a hard time finding information that could help me talk to him. And I don't know what my future husband looks like. I don't even know how old he is!!"

Fang Yi started to think.

"I think I've heard quite a bit about him," said Fang Yi.
