28. Remembering Something

"Forgive me!"

Farida who apologized suddenly made Randy surprised. He stared silently and motionless at the girl.

'What actually happened? Why would Farida apologize?'

Ilham who also heard it could only scratch his hair. He also seemed not to understand what had just happened.

It's not a smile of like or love. It was just an ordinary smile directed at a friend who had been together for a long time.

But on the other hand, Randy looked suspiciously at Farida. In his mind he still didn't believe it. Something must be wrong.

'This is impossible! What happened?! Does it have anything to do with her Justiciar powers?! Randy thought too much.

'Calm down boss, there's no such thing as you think! That chick did this purely because of her heart!' Fortunately Dalor, who has now reawakened, has swiftly calmed the boy's mind.

'But, why? Did Farida like Ilham so much that she did not want to prolong this matter?'

'I don't know for sure. From the gestures I see from her, your girl-friend(not romantic) is doing it because she remembers the person closest to her was dead.'

'Think about it again, maybe she has a family or a childhood friend who were missing?'

'Don't be joking, I've become her friends for a long time. No way, I don't know! Moreover, Farida doesn't have a sister/brother or whatever you call her childhood friend was!'

But after saying the word 'brother' suddenly his forehead got hurt. Something is pressing his forehead so hard.

'Flare of Health!' Luckily with Dalor's alacrity, the pain that suffered Randy instantly disappeared.

'What was that, Dalor?!' He asks as he stunned.

'Sort of... Pressure.' Dalor put on a blank face and didn't understand what had just happened.

'Pressure? Does this have anything to do with the Time Fracture?'

'Possible, but I hope that we have a chance to talk about it with your friend.'

'Whatever...'

That way, the conversation between those two ended and time was running out again.

"Randy? What's wrong with you?" Farida turned to Randy who was staring blankly at both of them.

"Hey, are you daydreaming again? That's not good for you, you'll get possessed by a ghost.' Ilham who was stand next to the girl looked at Randy while put his hand on the hips and laughing through his stomach.

"Sorry, just a habit." Randy responded to Ilham's laugh with a restless laugh.

"Yes, yes, but if you get in trouble, we will be in trouble too."(Farida)

"Calm down, it won't be happened! Because I'm strong!"(Randy)

Hearing his statement, both of his friend fell silent as if frozen man.

But shortly after that.

"Gyahahahaha!"

"Bwahahha!"

Both of them laughed as if nothing had ever happened between them. Their friendship has reached such a strange stage.

"Randy?! Strong?! Hahaha! Don't be a joke!" Farida laughed so hard as she held her stomach.

"When in sport class, you were recognized by the teacher for your inability to do sports! Hahahaha!" Ilham insinuated that child deeper.

There was no sign that Randy was hurt by that word. He has used to it. They are best friends, mutual condescension is common.

Shortly after that.

"Hahahhaha!" Randy laughed with them.

At least, now the three of them laugh together and forget about what happening to last night. For Randy, it was all enough to satisfy his ego.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

But the excitement did not last long, the watch that Randy wear beep off and indicates it is time for him to work.

"It's time, huh?" He said as he's looking at the watch who has a puppet pattern.

"Is it call of duty?"(Ilham)

"Yes, otherwise. I'm going to get my pride," Randy made a warm smile to them.

"Ah, then. Careful! Moreover, Hannah is the one they call as BL- "(Farida)

"Don't continue your sentence, I don't want to hear it!" While parting, Randy waved his hand with a sweaty face because he was reminded by Farida how Hannah is.

Inside the library, Hannah was sitting alone flipping through the novels she is reading.

"Come on, Kevin keep going... Don't let Alex escapes!"

"Get him cornered and make him accept who he is!"

Don't ask what she's reading. Everyone knows what she is reading. But it was unexpected that Hannah would not do this secretly. She used to do this behind closed doors, but after being free by Randy. She even gets blatant like this.

"Eh..." Randy who just came in and were standing beside the exit door are staring at the girl in disgust.

"How could she say that thing loudly... It's because the library is empty...?" He's looking to the right and to the side of this library.

No one here.

"Yep, because there's no one here. Then she can read that BL novel as she pleases... CCTV can also only capture images, not sound. So no one heard that she was currently hallucinating that bad."

A book was struck on her heating head.

"Ouch! Who the hell dared to bother me during the climax sce-" Hannah's words stopped when she saw the face of her translator who looked at her with disdain.

"Please, you're in a public place. Your voice is so loud, you know!" Randy said as he walked to his seat. He tries to not mind what has she's doing.

"So what? This place is empty, no one was here! Well, who wants to go to the library just to read a book, right?"

"Yes, you have a point, but that's the main function of the library, right?"

"Do the students here look like people who like to read books?!" Hannah makes a sly face as she's mocking the unmissable fact.

"What kind a book you want me to translate?! Let me finish it quickly!"

Hannah gave Randy the books she wanted to translate into her native language. She looks like she's been waiting for this since yesterday.

Randy's who didn't attend to his jobs make her late to read the latest volumes.

On the other place, the student council room.

Celicia was sitting behind her majesty's table. She knocks the table with feeble force.

It's like she's thinking about something.

"Hey, Windy, Naura, and Ira! Didn't you feel strange last night?"

"Yeah, I feel it too! We can't use our magic right when we want to depart for the monster location." Windy who was standing and leaning on the wall could only stare at the ceiling of the room from there.

"Hmm(nodding)... Last night, I fell while flying in the sky! Luckily for us, even a fall from a great height did not kill us." Naura who was sitting on the guest seat could only sweat in embarrassment when she remembered it.

"Forgive me, last night I was absent, I was at my job and accidentally met Justiciar..." Ira, who was sitting opposite to Naura, looked at Celicia with dull eyes.

"At my work place, I met Randy, Ilham and Farida. Because the time is already close to the time Fracture, then that incident is inevitable..."

"It doesn't just end there. Last night, I also met a monster with tentacles and they're following me till the deep of alley!" (Ira)

"Tentacles?! Is that some kind of Kraken?!" (Celicia)

Ira shook her head. "No, but it looks like it's not an octopus or a squid. Because it's moving by using its tentacles! It used its tentacles to drag its main body by clinging on the pole at side of road. If you look at it more clearly, the monster is like a starfish."

"So, what is happening? You fought it, didn't you?"(Celicia)

"Forgive me, I have to run away... The tentacles are immune to my magic." Ira was forced to lie because there was no way she could say that she helped Justiciar to escape from that creature.

"Hah (sigh)... It's okay, tomorrow. Let's find and catch the monster!" Celicia stood up and determined the next goal of their operation.

But it looks like they will only get failure.
