Triad Wars: Blood And Betrayal

[Rewriting on its way] [Synopsis] Jin Kai (Connor) wakes up, not knowing who he is, where he is. Unfamiliar place with weird symbols and people in his eyes, but still recognising them. Unfamiliar language spoken out of the people's mouth, but still understanding what they said. "Where am I? Is this Afterlife?" "No, Son. Welcome to Sun On Yee." This is my first fanfiction, mistakes will be made. The reader's support will be appreciated. Hoping to learn new ways to describe and bring out the characters alive. A/N; This is the World of Sleeping Dogs™, I do not own anything except the Main Character (MC) in this fanfiction.

Chapter - 0, Old Past - New Life

Connor remembers the last moments of his life, filled with despair and sadness. The joy and happiness of anything good coming his way was taken away from him, be it may, his determination and perseverance let him survive the world till now. Never backing down, always hoping to find a single grain of joy within this cruel world of his.

And now all it came to this moment, laying in his own pool of blood, looking up to the starry night from the dark alley of an unknown street. Holding his abdomen tight, breathing light due to the blood loss, but still held a grin on his face, knowing well that his time had come. Still he wished if things could have been different, wishing that he could have gained some love and recognition.

"Well then, it looks like I can't fulfil my promise to you, Sara."

Clenching his fist, he willed his body to stand up, but to no avail. His legs couldn't respond to his commands. He didn't lose hope, glancing around for anyone but finding none. He sighed and took out his broken and cracked phone from his Jacket inner pocket and dialed a number.

The call went through and connected with the receiver, but Connor didn't respond. You may say, he couldn't respond. His body slides down to the cool and wet ground beneath him. And he went to the dreamscape, a place for people like him, a place where people find joy and happiness.

With a smile on his face, Connor passed away, remembering the bits of happiness throughout 35 years of hell and hardship he lived through.
