Chapter 57

Riding on one western dragon with 4 more chasing after him, The fire dragon yelled out to Lumen in desperation!

"LUMEN! FLY TO US! TURN TO US OR SOMETHING, YOUR OVERGROWN FOOL!"

The words fell on deaf ears as lumen was feeling pain unlike any other.

Courtesy of the nano suit allowing Jack's spikes to slip into its flesh and slowly eat away at it, thanks to how though its flesh was, that's why it was taking so damn long to die despite his greatest efforts into trying to end it right then and there!

The area they reached was near one of the human kingdoms, which was oddly enough named after a certain vampire with three letters for his name.

The dragon of light began to fire its breath of light in all sorts of directions, obliterating some mountains, some nearby villages, half of the kingdom that was mentioned, until jack made a mad jerk to the side, which in turn spun them out of control before they both crashed into the ground!

The Hokrap was the first to arrive, not really caring about his fellow dragon but more about their mission. Once it's done, he can return to playing around, so with the others still far away. The wind dragon made a preemptive attack of a wind bomb that was double to power of his breath.

If lumen died, well, he can just blame it on the strange demon since it was ruining his playtime!

With a flick of a finger, all of the wind within a hundred miles quickly gathered into the orb that was forming just above Hokrap's target, then seconds later.

There was no sound, but lumen released a groan before his body sunk into the ground 10 more feet!

The wind dragon was snickering at the suffering at the dumb older dragon, and Lumen was one of the prouder dragons that loathed groups. He often loved to talk shit to anyone he believed to be weaker than him, which was the case for Hokrap since he was still pretty young and still lacked the basic fundamentals.

Giving Lumen this kind of punishment made him very delighted and thankful for the demon, but he still had his commands, but there was one thing he had forgotten about his own kind.

Thanks to their prideful nature, they can be quite petty at times. Thus Hokrap's thoughts were interrupted by the sudden breath attack from lumen!

That attack made him dodge to the side, saving himself from the greater amount of damage. However, he failed to save one of his precious wings!

Wings of a dragon are hard to recover, and in this world, those that are part of the extreme elements can't be harmed unless you follow a certain order FIre>water>earth>wind then fire again.

Fire's weak to water. Water is weak to earth. Earth's weak to wind, wind's weak to fire. Two extra elements can bypass any of that, light, darkness.

The bloodied figure of lumen crawled out of the crater made by the wind dragon, and he was looking venomously at Hokrap that was falling to the ground before firing another dragon breath to the fool that dared to harm him!

The wind dragon used his magic to create a barrier to divert the attack to scatter, bringing more destruction to the area as some of the scattered breath struck some areas of what was left of the kingdom, nay, ruins nearby.

Jack emerged from out of the ground. His body wasn't in the best condition right now as it mended itself thanks to his suit. Still, thanks to the attack that he endured, such a spell will no longer affect him since it boosted his resistance against wind attacks, and on top of that, it was something that had double the power of a dragon's breath!

So what are the chances that regular dragon breaths could harm him?

Zero.

But he can still get injured by other means.

Jack was doing his best to heal and stay out of sight as the two dragons were doing a 'fus roh dah' fight right now as their magic, breaths, and even roars could cause damage to anything in range.

While he wanted the two dragons to kill each other, the other three dragons had arrived with the fire dragon making two swift moves to stop the two enraged kin of his!

Lumen was smacked into the ground by a tail, while Hokrap got bitchslapped by the fire dragon as he roared out.

"YOU DAMNED FOOLS, CEASE THIS AT ONCE! DID YOU FORGET WHAT WE ARE HERE FOR?!"

The roar was enough to send blasts of shockwaves that stirred the insides of those in range.

This made the lumen lower his head while growling, sure he stopped. Still, This dragon never liked being under people, and Ignum, who was the fire dragon, happened to be the cause of his great loathing for groups, especially when Ignum was an advocate of comrades staying together.

Sure the fire dragon meant well, and it was just that his methods would always insult the pride of others, lumen who would always go against him and, given a chance, suffered through those methods repeatedly!

Lumen glared towards the wind dragon that was bawling out loud. This made him lose motivation to beat the shit out of the brat. He snorted in annoyance before trying to heal his wounds.

Ignum felt relieved that his comrades had survived before turning to Jack, that was mostly healed.

"what will you do now, demon? you have no place to run or hide, so just submit and make this easier for all of us!"

However, Jack replied with a sneer as his body was almost done mending itself.

"hehe, Sorry, but I can't have that, not when I have so much to do, and my new friend wants to fight you~."

A dragon covered in earthen armor emerged from the ground then jumped into the air heading straight for Ignum like a cannonball.

The sound of metal and flesh could be heard colliding like a thunderclap!

Ignum was knocked out of the air falling to the ground as he struggled to push away the large maw aiming for his neck with his two claws.

He got a good look at his attacker by doing this, which in turn surprised the fire dragon. Since Zuy'kep was a long-time rival of his and never had he ever attacked a fellow dragon without announcing his intentions, Ignum wanted to say something, but the heavy body blow stopped him and made them start spinning in the air!

The two dragons spun as they fell down multiple times before they crashed, Ignum struck his attacker with his tail that was enough to crack the powerful defenses it had, but he received a few blows to his torso, which brought more harm to his insides than his protective scales.

Twilight, the dragon of darkness, also noticed who was attacking their assigned leader. Still, there was something odd about Zuy'kep, his eyes turned bloodshot but lacked pupils, and the aura his body carried was something that twilight specialized in.

Death.

The dragon's mind was in disarray as Zuy'kep was a powerful dragon. He was generally immune to most poisons and physical attacks.

So how the hell did he die?

Thus to warn the assigned leader of their group Twilight yelled out.

"IGNUM, BURN HIM! THAT IS NO LONGER ZUY'KEP, AND IT IS NOW JUST SOME MONSTER THAT WISHES TO KILL YOU!"

The fire dragon grew hesitant to attack Zuy'kep at this moment since they had a bond since they were wyrmlings, but the danger wasn't just from him, as twilight used his magic to help their leader, he yelled out.

"Ignum, watch out!"

While black tendrils formed to restrain the earth dragon in place, a presence appeared behind him as it growled viciously.

"This is for getting in my way!"

Jack had created another jagged machete that was stained red and quickly stabbed it into the eye of the fire dragon!
