Soon the afternoon class will start. Casey had tried to contact Asylin and the others. In fact, she already knew that they would not be able to pick her up because wasn't allowed to bring phone while working. It's a wasted effort. She wanted to contact Eric, but felt bad that it would be a hassle. If she returns to the mansion, she will definitely not have time to attend class, it feels useless.
Like going forward is wrong backwards is wrong
It's because of that bastard Erica.
While the girl was having fun laughing with her friends.
Casey gripped the phone tightly. From behind, she was emitting an aura of hatred towards Erica. She wanted to embarrass the snake girl right now, but she had to endure it until the time was right.
So now Casey what to do? Lamenting her fate? It's better if she doesn't go to class. That's right, Casey doesn't have to work that hard to learn in this fictional world. Leaving class just once did not get her immediately expelled from this amazing campus. Casey reached for her backpack, deciding to just go home. The task she had been working on until late at night turned out to be useless.
"Where are you going?" prevent Laura from holding Casey off.
"Home," Casey answered simply. His gaze was flat.
"Your family can't bring your errands here?" Laura asked, and Casey responded with a shake of her head. Laura glanced at Erica in annoyance. She was always acting as if nothing had happened. Moreover, Erica brought her name to frame Casey. Laura headed towards the girls' group, but Casey held her back and shook her head as if to say 'no' to her.
Laura took a deep breath. "Isn't there another solution?"
"There's no other way. After all, I've only been absent once, so I think it's okay," Casey replied, with a faint smile. Didn't want to make Laura worry.
"It is not like that—"
"I have to go." Casey patted Laura on the shoulder lightly before leaving the classroom.
Until the end, Erica did not realize that she was no longer in that class. Either they don't know or they don't care. Fuck her. Casey took a deep breath, gathering her supplies of patience back. She repeatedly told herself that there was still a long way to go, her emotions shouldn't explode now.
She had only stopped once, when someone stood in front of her, blocking Casey's path. Casey furrowed her brows in annoyance. Now that she's in such bad condition, anyone around her will get emotional outbursts from her. After all, the road is so wide, why does this person have to be right in front of it?! When Casey was ready to rampage, she looked up to see who the annoying person was standing in her way.
"Get out of the way—" Casey didn't continue speaking, her eyes widening when she saw the figure turned out to be-
Eric.
"E—eric?"
The man just smiled sweetly. The breeze gently blew Eric's brown hair. Casey couldn't turn her face anywhere but at the man in front of her now. She only thought of one word. Handsome. The smell of expensive perfume always wafts from Eric's body. The scent of the shampoo is still there.
Casey can get drunk.
Eric wanted to laugh, seeing the look on Casey's face now. The man waved his hand in front of Casey to break the girl's thoughts.
"Gwen?" calls Eric.
Casey blinked and shook her head rapidly. "Y—yes? What's wrong?"
"You know this?" Eric asked, showing Casey's tube bag. Casey's eyes rounded and she took the object. The thing he had been troubled about earlier!
"How did this bag come to you?" Casey hugged the tube bag. She groaned in pain as Eric flicked her forehead gently.
"Why did you leave something as important as this?" Eric grumbled.
"I do not—"
"Dean has never missed a class. No matter how important his business is, if there is a disaster, even if a dragon descends from the sky, he will still be present in class," he muttered again. "So don't let you not bring your work anymore."
"How ... do you know?" Casey asked, deeply moved.
"There's no need to think about things that are not so important." Eric frowned when he realized Casey was alone without Erica and carrying a bag. "Where are you going? Where's Erica?"
Casey just shook her head, reluctant to answer.
"You ... want to go home? Don't tell me the class is over?" inquired Eric.
"Not yet. It will start soon," Casey replied, making Eric sigh in relief. "Thanks, Eric. If you didn't come, I'm really going home."
Eric flicked Casey's forehead again, the girl couldn't help but grimace. "You can call me if you need help."
"I don't feel good—"
"How many times have I told you not to be shy, Little girl," Eric grumbled as he pinched Casey's cheek in exasperation. Casey slapped her young master's arm lightly to release the pinch.
"M—master, it's outside," Casey groaned. Even though there was no one in the corridor now, Casey was still afraid that someone would see their interaction.
The girl with short navy blue hair looked at them from a distance. Her hands were clenched tightly. She couldn't hear their conversation clearly, but just seeing Eric and Casey's interaction made her irritated. After realizing Casey was not in class and her bag was no longer on her desk, she smiled with satisfaction because she felt she had trapped Casey. However, the reality she saw now only made the fire in her chest flare up even more.
Previously, Erica just wanted to go to the toilet, but she stopped when she saw the two of them and decided to take a peek. The girl bit her lip, holding back annoyance. Erica stepped closer to Casey.
"Gwen?" call her. Casey and Eric immediately turned their heads.
"E—erica?"
Erica glanced at the bag Casey was holding. "Has your assignment arrived?" she asked rhetorically. Casey nodded a little doubtfully, guessing what Erica was going to do again. Her heart was pounding a little because she was afraid that Erica would hear what she had been talking about with Eric.
Casey's eyes were rounded as Erica hugged her tightly. "Thank God! I'm relieved, you know I'm very worried and feel guilty," said Erica with teary eyes.
"Ah, the crazy acting has started again..." Casey thought, wanting to throw Erica out the window.
"Feeling guilty? What's wrong?" asked Eric confused.
"It's nothing. Just a little misunderstanding." Casey smiled faintly. She didn't want the problem to get any bigger, and was too fed up with bringing up how she had been fooled by this snake girl.
Erica started to let go of Casey's arms. "By the way, Gwen, who brought your assignment here?"
"Ah, that's ..." Casey bit her lip, confused for a good reason. Eric, who was aware of Casey's nervous attitude, gave a faint smile.
"I was entrusted by a man who was in front of the gate. He said this belonged to his sister left at home. So I offered to help, it turned out to be Gwen's," said Eric taking over. So casually answered it without any hesitation. Until Casey was amazed by him, in her heart, Casey put out his thumb and said 'good job!' to Eric.
"I see. Senior is really good. Thanks for helping Gwen!" Erica said with a very sweet smile.
"No problem. Then I'll go first. You guys are eager to learn! Don't ever forget to bring an assignment again, okay?"
Casey and Erica nodded in understanding. After that, Eric said goodbye and waved his hand, leaving the two girls.
Now it's just the two of them. She and Erica. Casey didn't want to say much to the girl with the navy blue hair, so she turned to walk ahead of Erica without a word.
"Gwen," Erica called.
Casey stopped in her tracks without turning to look at the girl. Waiting for Erica to speak again.
"Gwen, you seem to be very close to Eric," she said as she wrapped her arm around Casey's smugly.
"No, really. Just normal friends."
"Don't lie~ I can see it. You're really just friends with him?"
Casey turned her head, looking straight into Erica's charcoal-colored eyes. Casey already knew what this girl in front of her wanted. The corners of her lips began to lift, Casey smiled faintly. "I'm really just friends with Eric, Erica."
Hearing that, Erica let go of her embrace and tucked a few strands of her silky hair behind her ear. "Then can I ask you a favor?"
"... What?" Casey asked formally because she had already guessed what Erica had said.
"I like Eric. Can you help me get closer to him?"
