Chapter 2: System

After falling for a while in complete darkness, a portal suddenly opens beneath me and I fall face-first onto a sandy beach. After picking myself up off the ground I look around and see a forest at the end of the beach. I turn back around and peer into the ocean to see that I look the same as before I was transported. It also seems that I have the same clothes on as when I died, a black hoodie, a grey t-shirt, black sweat pants, and some sneakers. After examing myself in the reflection the best I can and that I'm sure that I have the same body as before, I start walking along the beach.

After a couple of hours of walking I find some tracks in the sand, and just to make sure I compare them to my sneakers, and they're a perfect match. I hadn't seen a single sign of civilization on my walk.

"FUCK! He put me on some random deserted island in the middle of the ocean!" I yell at whatever's listening.

As I'm about to take my anger out on a nearby crab, I remember my wish.

"System," I say with excitement.

A white futuristic screen suddenly appears in front of me. Just to test it out I start walking away from it only for it to follow me. It stays directly in front of my eyes no matter where I look.

After I'm done experimenting with it I actually start paying attention to the screen.

There are four tabs, {Status}, {Quests}, {Shop}, and {Invetory}. After looking over all the tabs I decided to start from the first tabs.

I push the {Status} tab first.

NOTE- You can earn store credits from killing living creatures and completing quests. The stronger the creature, the more the SC (Store credits). You gotta figure out how much you get per kill yourself - your favorite god.

After checking my stats and reading God's note I decided to press on the {quests} tab.

I was surprised by how easy the quests were.

'Welp no point in dwelling on it' I thought to myself. I decided to look around the island and after exploring for a bit I spotted a giant gorilla standing on its hind legs just doing gorilla things. It was by itself just chilling in the shade. I sneaked off because I figured getting its attention would be bad. As I explored more of the island I came across a cave. It was pretty small and no animals were living in it as far as I could tell. I decided this would be where I stayed until I left the island.

(Ding!)

I called out system in my head to see if it worked and it did. I saw an exclamation point on the quest tab and pressed it.

I pressed on (claim) and received another (Ding!). I looked at the {Status} tab and saw another exclamation point. I pressed on it and saw that I had leveled up and doubled in strength! I took off my shirt and saw that my belly had noticeably gone down (He's a shut-in otaku of course he's chubby). I was still a bit chubby but my fat had gone down quite a bit.

'And that was just one level!' I thought to myself. I also noticed the EXP requirement had more than doubled.

'I hope it doesn't increase by a multiplier," I thought.

I noticed that God's note was gone too. I looked up and saw that the sun was getting low. I went back to my cave and gathered wood from the nearby trees to make a fire. I remembered how to make low-quality rope from a survival show I used to love to watch. It also showed me how to make a fire starter.

Just as I finished making my janky fire starter, and it started getting dark I received another (Ding!).

'System' I thought.

I then saw that the tabs {Status} and {Quests} had exclamation points. I clicked on the {Quests} tab with my mind first.

I pressed (Claim) and felt my body change again. 'Status' I thought.

I noticed that my skills had levels.

'I'm guessing I got this skill because I made the fire starter, so I gotta use it to level it up. Makes sense' I thought to myself.

'Only 2 more levels and I can unlock the store' I excitedly told myself. I was about to go to sleep when I heard my stomach growl.

'I'll catch something when I wake up' I told myself. I closed my eyes and darkness soon took me to dream land.
