Grief and Vengeance
The opulent living room of the Jiang villa exuded an air of somber quiet, the plush furnishings and tasteful decor doing little to lighten the pall of grief that hung heavy in the air. Feng Ruoxi sat in brooding silence, watching her friend Xia Xingxing from the corner of her eye.
Poor Xingxing. The normally vibrant young woman had become a shadow of herself in the wake of her father's senseless murder just two days prior. Her eyes were haunted, emotionally deadened in a way that tore at Ruoxi's heart.
