The Mist Mountain (part 1)

Kiara's POV

It feels awkward to live in this body and have a different life but I already promised myself. I will live and survive in this world. I will be with my prince and with our children.

I will fight for the happiness that I lost in my own world. "I am. Why wouldn't I? This journey is already dangerous. It should be my journey because I'm the grand duke and prince of this country. There is no need for you to be here," Enrico says.

I pinch his cheeks and sigh. I know he is just worried and it makes me happy.

"Thank you. You finally broke the curse yourself. Love, it wasn't only you who wanted to protect this country. I wasn't going to do it either. This is for me to be with you until my last breath. Until our hair turns gray," I replied.

He holds me tighter. Being in his arms already gives me courage and strength. We will surely reach the witches kingdom and make them our first ally. He kissed me.

"The kings of werewolves and vampires, they're head over heels on you," he says after that kiss.

My brow furrows. "Did you know that you're always making this scary face whenever you're jealous? I love it," I tease.

His cheeks redden. I chuckled. "Too bad for them… It was you whom I love…" I mumbled.

I claimed his lips and initiated a blazing night with my beloved husband.

The next morning, we're all ready for our journey across the misty mountain. We're now standing at the entrance of this mountain.

My husband and I decided that Sam was the one who would come with us. The other shoulders will guard the previous village we went into.

"Are you sure you want to come along, lady Kiara?" Sam asks. I looked at them and rolled my eyes.

"Oh please. Let's get in," I utter.

I grab both of their arms and we steep ourselves into this thick mist. As soon as we get inside, we're in a different dimension. My hunch is right.

It was the witch kingdom that made this place misty and dangerous. They don't want other kingdoms to go into their territory.

I look around and notice that Sam and Enrico aren't with me. I guess this is a part of the journey. I continued walking around and trusting my instincts.

Calling their names and panicking will make it worse. "I guess I have no choice but to rely on myself and find them at all costs," I whispered.

As I continued to walk in the mist and among these tall trees, I noticed a certain presence lurking around me. I raise my hand and uncover the mist on my left side.

Mist is still a form of water. I can manipulate it. My eyes dilated when I saw what kind of creature this was. It's a chimera!

A creature that has the body parts of three different animals. It has the head of a lion, the body of a goat, and a serpent's tail.

He roared at me and I protected myself with a thick wall of water. I jump high backwards. I don't know why but I feel like something is wrong.

His saliva was made of acids. I saw how the grass died because of his saliva.

I created a floating floor made of water. I get to my knees and look down. I analyze the situation.

"What is happening here? That roar is different. It's like a growl and scream of pain? I haven't attacked him yet," I murmur while checking the chimera's body.

I manipulated the water and roamed around to check on his body. I jumped off and landed on its back. I grasped the lion's hair and he used his tail to hold me. I know he'll do that until I die.

"I have no plans to die!" I roared.

I close my eyes, concentrate my power, and turn myself into water. They said water has memories and healing power. Let's see if this woman had that kind of power!

As soon as the water floats, I go back to my human form. My hands release enough water to cover the chimera's body.

"Heal!" I screamed.

I just don't know if I have to murmur a spell or whatnot. I just hope it will work! The water suddenly glowed, and the chimera was growling inside the huge water ball.

"I was right…" I whispered.

I landed on the ground and walked towards the water ball. I touch it and memories start to flow in my head. He was chased by hunters and was wounded several times.

I healed him and the arrows that were embedded all over her body. They come out of his body.

After a few minutes, all his wounds healed completely. I released him from the water ball. I raise my hand and look into his eyes.

"I'm not an enemy. I'll leave now, okay? Take care of yourself from here on," I whispered.

The chimera walks closer and suddenly brushes his head on my hand. I was surprised because of what he did.

"Thank you," he growls. My eyes widened. I never thought he could talk!

"I can help you find your husband faster. He's in danger. If he meets the dragon of nightmares, he will die while sleeping," he says. I gulp.

"Please, bring me to where they are!" I roared.

His tail grabbed my waist and made me sit on his back. He dashes right away. He's ten times faster than the cheetah, who is said to be the fastest land animal.

In just minutes, he stops. I jump off and my hands are now surrounded by fire.

"You can leave now. Thank you," I stated. I looked at the chimera for a bit. He steps back but is seated next to my husband.

It's like he is guarding him. I look at the three-headed dragons.

"I am warning you! Wake him up or I'll kill you!" I warned. They lower their heads and look at me.

"You're not from this world…" one of the heads says.

I don't care if he knows who I really am. I will save Enrico, no matter what happens! "I shall grant your wishes..."

"What are you talking about? I said, Wake my husband!"

I grabbed the dragon's head and covered it with my fire. Mine was blue fire. It's the strongest and hottest fire in the world.

"Behind you!" The chimera roared.

I jump high and ice spears appear behind me. I move my hand forward and attack the heads at once. My jaw clenched. What should I do? Their scales were too tough.

"I shall grant your true wish," they said in chorus. Damn it! My head suddenly feel heavy and everything went blank.
