I raised the wand just in time to use my party healing spell. A giant dome of green light shot around us, a few sparkles swirled around us individually.
"NOW!" Vaeril yelled.
Rophalin and Vaeril darted forward from my left and right respectively, one going low and one going high. Sending their blades slicing through a confused orc, his skull exploded while his legs were cut cleanly above the knees.
The two landed gracefully ahead of me.
Rophalin grabbed her long blonde hair and through it out of her face. Rolling her shoulders back she let the sun bathe her skin, outstretching her arms to show acceptance and embrace. Her cleavage stuck out as she puffed her chest. Her body was toned and muscular, but the sweat caused an oiled look to her body.
Vaeril rolled his shoulder back, stretching the sore muscles. He pulled the wet shirt that clung to his body. A wet sound could be heard as it was thrown on the ground before him. He was also impressively muscular, his shoulders sagged forward and he sat on the cold earth.
Vaeril looked up at the sun as he wondered aloud, "Do you think it will begin to snow before Christmas?"
I had walked over to Rophalin and used my wand to heal a scratch that wasn't properly dealt with. "Probably, most winters have at least a little bit of snow. But I would be lying if I said it was entirely uncommon for us to have a Christmas with no snow."
"Oh, well snow will come this year." Rophalin smiled down at me.
Vaeril pouted, "Didn't you just hear what he said?"
"HAHA! Yes but I feel it in my gut!"
"Crazy..." Vaeril stood collecting his bow that had been struck from his hands during the battle.
"Do you two still feel up for fighting, we've been at it for a few hours now. Shouldn't we take a break?"
Rophalin and Vaeril looked at each other, then Vaeril turned to me. "Sure."
I hated when they did that. Having known each other for so long, they would often forget to speak what ever dialogue they were having subconsciously.
...
We walked back to the mess hall where we ate till we were satisfied, being sure not to overstuff ourselves.
Vaeril was shirtless still which brought many men and women gazes from across the hall. While the same could be similarly said about Rophalin, who besides her skimpy armor was also much taller and more muscular than a common elf (Especially a healer).
"Okay," Vaeril leaned forward, clasping his hands together to get our attention. "We have successfully begun fighting the Patch army, our first test these past few hours shows we can deal with them with little to no issue. Since we already took out many small encampments, let's aim for a stronger base. We will be attacking one of their head encampments once we head back to the forest. We will go from the next hour to whenever we finish tomorrow to ensure the Patch Army is destroyed. Let's disperse to collect any last gear, use the restroom, pack food, all that stuff."
Rophalin nodded and left to prepare herself, I was left dumbfounded after being reminded the plan. He thinks we can kill them after two days work, he is insane!
Although, they were killing them very easily. But I had played to many video games to know that it was going to be all sunshine and roses. Either way I decided to return to my dorm.
...
Vaeril and Rophalin were waiting for me by the woods again. With my shower done and new clothes on we headed into the woods.
-END of Chapter-
(Hello reader, I will keep this brief. This chapter has been a frustrating one, so the most important things from this chapter are the gems and the fact they are going into the woods{again}. Sorry for the short shitty chapter but I believe it will be better to progress with the story since this chapters frustration has spawned from previous actions that I regret. Please enjoy the next chapter when it releases!)
