Chapter 5

Kazuki was standing in front of the U.A. High School gate once again.

He was currently wearing a grey blazer, red tie, green pants, and black shoes. Along with his black backpack, Kazuki walked toward Class 1-A.

When he made it in front of the classroom, Kazuki stared at the door, "This door is huge..."

He didn't waste time and entered the classroom.

When the door opened, the students inside all turned their heads for the newcomer, except for the one with white and red hair who had cold eyes.

'I thought I was early but there are people that were here already.' Kazuki thought to himself as he looked at a couple of students before going to his seat.

'My assigned seat is supposed to be behind Midoriya so does that mean that purple-haired kid didn't get into U.A? Welp, not my problem...' Kazuki thought with an uncaring expression.

Kazuki took a seat, as he passed by Bakugo Katsuki who was glaring at him the whole time.

Kazuki didn't pay attention to him but as soon as he sat down, he was approached by a kid with glasses walking robotically.

"Welcome, new classmate. My name is Iida Tenya from Somei Private Acadamy." He introduced himself.

Kazuki yawned, "Akiyama...Kazuki.." He then placed his head on the table since he was quite tired from yesterday's training and today's morning routine. So he was going to take a quick nap.

Iida gasped, "How could a student fall into slumber on the first day!"

Kazuki even heard Bakugo click his teeth. But he didn't care and decided he was going to rest his eyes for a bit.

"And you, get your feet off that table! Did you know, your seniors..."

The last thing he heard was Iida scolding Bakugo before he went to sleep.

A few minutes later, Kazuki felt a pen poking his back so he slowly opened his eyes.

He then stretched while yawing before looking at who woke him up.

It was Yaoyorozu Momo.

"We're receiving our gym clothes and heading outside." She said.

Kazuki looked around and saw the other students grabbing their gym clothes and heading out of the classroom.

"Oh, thanks," Kazuki said lazily. He then got up from his seat and took his gym uniform before leaving as well.

A couple of minutes later, everyone was at the baseball field while the homeroom teacher, Aizawa Shota started explaining the Quirk Apprehension Test.

Kazuki wasn't really paying attention as he was thinking about something related to his quirk. He didn't even look at bakugo's softball throw since he had already witnessed the scene before.

He was then pulled out of his thoughts as he heard Aizawa threatened to expel the last place.

As most of the students were slightly panicking, Aizawa looked at Kazuki.

"You, do you think this test is boring?"

Kazuki replied without thinking, "A little."

Everyone looked at Kazuki and realized how he messed up big time. Bakugo became extremely pissed.

'So he thinks he better than me?! Just you wait, I'll crush you!'

Aizawa looked at him with his dead eyes, "I've seen your recommendation exam results and I can understand why you're so confident and think this isn't worth your time. But, do you think you will become a hero with that laid-back attitude? If you think this exercise isn't worth it, then you could be the first one to pack your bags and leave this school immediately."

Everyone was shocked. Wasn't Akiyama Kazuki recommended to come to this school?

Even Momo was surprised. She had thought Aizawa wasn't speaking the truth about expelling a student. But she was proven wrong.

Kazuki was a little angry but he didn't show it. He then slightly bowed, "You're right. I haven't been showing enough determination to become a hero so I would like to apologize to those that have given their all to be here. So..."

Kazuki slightly glared back at Aizawa, "So, you could choose to expel me if you really wish. U.A isn't the only Hero school in Japan. I'm also certain I'll become a hero and achieve my dreams with or without U.A."

Everyone became shocked again as they didn't expect those words from Kazuki.

Aizawa looked at Kazuki before releasing a crazed smile, 'This kid...'

From afar, there was a buff man with a yellow suit and yellow hair that looked like bunny ears.

"No way! Did that kid really just challenge Aizawa. Good luck, Young Midoriya. It looks like your competition will be extremely difficult."

Back to Class 1-A, Aizawa had regained his dead face and started pairing the classmates for the 50-meter dash test.

"That concludes the test. I will show the results of your performance, ranked best to last."

As soon as he said that, Aizawa made a blue transparent screen appear with the results.

1. Akiyama Kazuki

2. Yaoyorozu Momo

3. Todoroki Shoto

.....

As soon as Midoriya saw his standing, despair was taking over his eyes until he heard Aizawa.

"And, I was just kidding. No one's getting expelled. That was just a radical deception to make you give it your all." Aizawa said with a smile.

Everyone, other than Kazuki and 2 other students were shocked before the lot of them released the breath they've been holding. Midoriya was relieved the most in this situation.

"Take a syllabus from the classroom and read it over by tomorrow. Oh, and Midoriya, take this to the nurse and get treated. Tomorrow, your true training will begin." Aizawa handed a note to Midoriya before leaving.

Kazuki had already started walking away as he heard that. He wanted to go train with his quirk.

'I might've gotten first, but I didn't ace all 8 of the tests. Especially for the grip strength. I don't have an element that can enhance my physical abilities so I should work on that. For the rest of the tests, it was pretty easy since I mainly used my Air element the most and my good stamina.' Kazuki thought while walking back to the classroom.

But before he could leave the baseball field, he heard someone call his name.

"Akiyama?"

Kazuki turned around and found Momo calling him.

"Yes?" Kazuki asked slightly confused.

"You knew, didn't you?"

Kazuki became even more confused, "Knew what?"

"That Mr. Aizawa wouldn't expel you so that's why challenged him like that, right?"

Her question had caused the rest of the students who hadn't left to turn their heads toward Kazuki.

"You're wrong. He would've expelled me in a heartbeat. Did you not hear that a class of first years was expelled last year. That was Mr. Aizawa." Kazuki replied flatly.

Momo and the rest of the students were shocked once more. Even Midoriya was slightly shaking as he was a hair away from getting expelled.

Without anything more to say, Kazuki left the baseball field.

Momo was slightly embarrassed. She was proven wrong twice now even if she was the only one who had these thoughts.

After Kazuki left, Bakugo and Midoriya left the field as the latter left because of the pain of his broken finger.

Bakugo was pissed by Kazuki and mainly about Midoriya hiding his quirk all this time.

"Wow, he's so cool to challenge Mr. Aizawa on the first day of school!" The one with red spiky hair said with admiration.

"Not only that but did you see his quirk? It looks like he can control Air." The one with yellow hair chimed in.

The rest couldn't help but agree but Momo corrected their statement.

"Along with Air, he can control Fire as well."

Everybody was shocked until the girl with pink skin asked, "How do you know this, Yaoyorozu?"

"I saw it in the Recommendation Exam. He not only controlled wind but Fire as well in the obstacle race. Although not as much, but it was shown."

Everybody couldn't help and be in awe. They all then looked in the direction Kazuki had left in.

Kazuki had already grabbed his backpack and was heading toward the station.

'Man, I want to use my quirk to fly out of here...' Kazuki thought helplessly.

While walking, he saw that infinity girl, robot boy, and Midoriya walking toward the same station he was going to.

'So they already became friends, huh? I guess some things won't change from the anime.' Kazuki thought to himself.

Kazuki was going to mind his own business but the infinity girl had noticed him walking in the same direction they were heading.

"Hey, Akiyama! Would you like to walk with us? You don't mind right, Deku, Iida?"

Midoriya blushed and nodded, "O-Of course, Uraraka..."

Iida fixed his glasses, "Well, we are going in the same direction and we are fellow classmates so it's only right for us to walk together, after all."

Kazuki really didn't want to, but they were going in the same direction as he was so he could only nod reluctantly.

While walking together, Uraraka Ochako asked Kazuki a question.

"So, Akiyama. I heard from Deku that you two went to the same Junior High along with Bakugo?"

"That's right," Akiyama replied plainly.

Midoriya looked down, "B-But we weren't in the same classroom so we never talked before."

Midoriya may have never talked to Kazuki but he knew about him. Especially in his Hero Analysis notebook. He didn't have a lot of information about his quirk but after today, he would have a lot to write about.

"Oh, by the way. I heard from Yaoyorozu that you could control Fire along with Air. Is that true?" Ochako asked.

"Yup." Kazuki nodded. There was no point to lie about this stuff since he's already showed it once before.

The trio was in awe.

"Amazing. Not only do you have amazing control over your wind quirk but you could also use Fire." Iida praised.

Midoriya was the most surprised. He didn't even know he had a quirk that allowed him to control 2 elements.

He couldn't help and get envious once more.

Midoriya quickly shook his head to get rid of those thoughts. 'You can't think like that! Thanks to All Might, I have a quirk and I should be grateful!'

With those thoughts gone, Midoriya took out his Hero Analysis notebook and started scribbling while muttering under his breath.

Ochako smiled warily, "D-Deku..."

Kazuki was annoyed and thought helplessly, 'I won't be taking the station from now on...'
