It has been a day since the siblings boarded the ship; the workers brought the trunk a few minutes later, and the ship left the city of Braavos.
It will take a few weeks for them to reach Pentos as they travel along the coast of Essos.
The siblings were now in their room, with Viserys having a sullen look on his face.
Beside him was Dany, who was trying her best to hold her laughter.
"Pfft, brother, are you—" As Dany was about to ask while giggling, Viserys cut her off and muttered, "Not. A. Word."
He had a frown on his face, with bags under his eyes.
Looking at her brother, Dany couldn't hold it anymore and laughed loudly.
"Hahaha!"
Daenerys clutched her stomach as she laughed out loud.
"Ugh!" Viserys grumbled, feeling annoyed with his little sister.
Viserys warned Dany about getting seasick, but Dany was all right, and Viserys couldn't catch a break and was vomiting everything he put in.
'Although it is now under control, it is still embarrassing that I warned her extensively!' he mumbled to himself.
He looked at the door; the whole room was swaying back and forth, worsening his sickness.
But Viserys ignored them and mused inwardly, 'I bet Illyrio will know of our departure in a few days and will wait for us in the docks. That fat boar will know too; the spider is with him after all.'
But his musings ended when his eyes widened and his stomach rumbled; he ran toward the bathroom to vomit once again.
Dany's laughter stopped immediately; she dashed behind her brother, her face etched with worry as she rubbed his back.
"Brother, should I call the captain? Ask him if there are any maesters on the ship?" Her heartbeat quickened as she looked at him in his state.
She might laugh at him when he is fine, but she is also worried about him.
But Viserys, who had finished vomiting, shook his head and answered, "There's no need, Dany. I believe the sickness will go away by the end of the day. And it's not like they will help us."
Dany bit her lip; her brother can be prideful at times. She narrowed her eyes and said, "Alright, I will wait for today. But if the sickness persists, we are debarking at the next harbor."
Viserys smiled wryly as he turned around. "Yes, my queen."
Just like that, the siblings spent another week on the ship. And like Viserys said, the sickness disappeared after that day as he got used to the sea.
But much to his annoyance, Dany's teasing didn't stop. The princess became lively as she could spend almost every single second with her brother, unlike the time they were in Braavos, where he would go around trying to gather patrons.
...
Just like Viserys mused, the news of the siblings' departure reached King's Landing.
The Small Council Room, the Red Keep:
"My little birds across the narrow sea carry news, Your Grace." A fat bald man said as he looked at the head of the table.
The members of the council became alert as they knew what was across the narrow sea.
SNORT
The man at the head of the table snorted. He was big, with his shoulders wide, and black hair and beard covering his face and bright blue eyes that were drunk on wine; he looked like a drunken beggar who was crowned king.
"Those dragon spawns!" the man roared, causing a stench of wine to leave his mouth, making the woman beside him wince in disgust.
She was Cersei Lannister, the woman who thought adopting the Targaryen ways was a good idea.
She had long blonde hair and bright green eyes that shone with greed and obsession for power.
"What are those monsters up to now!?" the drunken man yelled as he slammed his hand on the table, spilling the wine from his goblet.
Varys and the rest were calm; they were used to his ramblings about the remaining Targaryens and didn't think much of it.
"Your Grace, my little birds tell me that Viserys Targaryen has moved from Braavos along with his sister Daenerys Targaryen for Pentos."
Everybody frowned at this news; just a few days ago, they had gotten the news that the knight taking care of them died.
And Robert, who was happy about this news, ordered a feast to be held in the Keep.
"Why would they leave the safety of Braavos? Didn't that knight have a few men working for him?" an old man asked; he was Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King.
But Varys shook his head and said, "I do not know, My Lord. It is said that after the knight's death. The men under him turned their back on the Targaryen siblings."
"Hahahaha!" Robert burst into laughter at Varys's words; he kept slamming the table with his hands while his humongous pot belly jiggled.
"Those men know what's good for them!" Robert yelled. But the rest of them ignored Robert and left him to his musings.
"The Targaryens don't pose a threat to us. The people still remember the horrors of the Mad King. It is best to leave them for themselves."
Jon Arryn continued, at which Robert sneered but kept silent. Robert knew that Ned, his best friend and mentor, and Jon Arryn were against the murder of the two dragon children.
"I agree with you, My Lord," Varys said, "The Targaryens pose no military strength nor any political strength. Trying to harm them would only tarnish our reputation." He added.
Robert snickered at Varys but, like before, kept silent. Cersei too leaned back in her chair, her eyes looking out the window as she thought, 'The Targaryens are over. Once Joffrey takes the throne, the time for the Lannisters' rule will come.'
The meeting resumed as they talked about the realm's whereabouts and the growing debt to the Iron Bank. They talked about the rebellion of the Greyjoys that happened a few years ago.
...
A few weeks had passed, and the siblings reached Pentos.
Currently, the siblings are in their room. They mostly stay in their room, only going out to the deck once every few hours.
"Dany, we will stay only about a day or two in Pentos and leave during the night," Viserys informed her. His voice was serious as he looked at his sister.
He had already checked if anyone was listening in on them and only began once he confirmed that they were alone.
Daenerys frowned when she heard him. "Why?" she asked, tilting her head.
"We are going to steal the eggs." He said in a hushed tone.
Dany's eyes widened when she heard him, steal? Why? Aren't dragon eggs the property of the Targaryens?
She hung her head down as she mumbled, "Okay."
Viserys nodded his head and continued, "Good, once we leave the ship, a man is going to come to us. He has the dragon eggs."
"Are we going to steal the dragon eggs from him?" she asked as she looked at him, feeling a little bad for the man.
"Yes," he replied; he raised his hand and caressed her cheeks as he added, "That man wants to separate you from me."
Dany's eyes widened in shock, her heartbeat quickened as she clenched her fist in anger, "Then we can steal from him!" she exclaimed at the top of her lungs.
Viserys chuckled at her reaction; he kissed her forehead and replied, "None can separate you from me, Dany. Don't worry."
"Mhmm," Dany hummed as a small smile bloomed on her face; she walked into his embrace, hugging her brother.
Viserys smiled as he hugged her back; they both stayed hugging for a while until a knock came at the door.
"Hey kid! Get up! We've reached Pentos!" a man yelled from the other side.
Viserys pulled away from the hug; grabbing her shoulders, he said, "Dany, don't take out too many clothes, and try to act normally, okay?"
"Okay, brother!" Dany said as she looked at him, her purple eyes shining with determination. 'I am going to help my brother!' She resolved herself.
The siblings then came outside; a cool breeze hit their faces as the smell of salt filled their nose.
In the distance was the city of Pentos. Known for its trade and vibrant colors.
As the ship reached the dock, Viserys could see a few men waiting for the ship.
And among them was a fat man with a bloated belly, dressed in vibrant, rich clothes. Beside him were a few men, most likely his slaves.
The man smiled as he looked at the two siblings.
Viserys, too, smiled at the man; his eyes glinted as he muttered under his breath, "There you are, fat man."
