Behind them Lin Zhen was watching this heartwarming scene while leaning his head with the door.

"Shi Nan you are awake?" It was Lin Zhen mother Jiang Ran who spoke.

Hearing her voice Shi Nan raised her head and a spoke with the smile "yes! mother"

Seeing Shi Nan like this Jiang Ran was stunned and but she controlled her expression and smiled back

"you both must be hungry! breakfast is ready"

"where is father? mother?!" Shi Nan asked while she sat on the table which half feet above the ground where one can sit on the floor and eat on it.

"Oh! he went to school to do some paperwork."

Jiang Ran was satisfied with her this daughter in law seeing her eating habits like a lady and her sophisticated manners on the top she is really beautiful.

Her previous daughter in law although was beautiful but she didn't have table manners but she couldn't say anything to her.

After eating food Shi Nan was going to take the utensils when her mother in law stopped her and said "you don't need to do this".

"In our household females doesn't wash dishes!! washing is done by males. So let Lin Zhen wash them and Rui Rui go and help your uncle"

Shi Nan was stunned hearing this because from what she have heard from novels and books that mother in law in this era are really fussy and always prefer their son's and grandson's over everything.

Seeing her stunned face both Jiang Ran and Lin Zhen found Shi Nan cute.

Shi Nan quickly adjusted her expression and replied "okay mother"

Seeing this Jiang Ran became more satisfied with Shi Nan.

"you don't need to be formal just call me mom like Lin Zhen"

"you come with me let's I need to show and tell you things about tomorrow banquet and our family and Lin Zhen come to my room after washing dishes"

Lin Zhen nodded at this.

He collected all the dishes and went to wash them in the yard with Rui Rui who was excited as always like a cute penguin.

Shi Nan followed her mother in law to her room. They talked about some common topic and waited for Lin Zhen to come.
