chapter 86 - Fate is in one's hand

[E/N: - Sorry for the delay guys I've been watching Fate Unlimited Blade Works and holy crap I knew that Shiro was shitty but never thought it would be to this degree, the dude literally ranked first on my most hated protagonists after watching the first 2 episodes.

Also after a long discussion with Cure about the Fate waifu to be added it was narrowed down to Medea Caster and Medusa Rider.

And since adding Rider will need shitload of work to add her, you can pretty much expect Medea in the near future "for now".]

Philippines was known for its exotic places and abundance of islands where many rich people gather to hold parties.

Within one of these islands, people arrived for an auction and also to gain a glimpse of the owner of the rising company that is called Nox, it has been able to build foundations throughout the world.

Their advanced technology and medicine had resulted in many scientific discoveries, yet none was able to replicate the effects, regardless of how much they tried. Many went to steal or even kidnap employees from the company, but somehow they mysteriously committed suicide.

Many tried to sabotage the company, but karma is a bitch and hit them so hard that they ended up being sabotaged instead. People were more supportive of company as it did many charitable things like building orphanages and free medical services.

The worst one so far was trying to plant a bomb, but the bomber accidentally blew himself up.

All of the businessman awaited his arrival with anticipation, it's been a month since the company was founded, but no one was able to know who built such an unbelievable company.

"What do you think the owner will look like?"

"No one knows, but rumors say that he is a man."

"Do you think he'll sign contract with me?"

"Ahahaha, you? You people dream big, I am the one that will sign a contract."

The people who were having a conversation looked at the person who spoke. It was a man with silky hair and goatee wearing black suit and red tie. The man was Frederick Bleak, the uncle of Caelum and the brother of Adam, he was arrogantly smirking with confidence.

[A/N: Adam is Caelum's father.]

He was a man of ambition, taking every opportunity to get what he wants. Even manipulating in getting his wife to marry him so he can usurp her wealth.

"Who are you? Why are so confident, huh?"

"Hey! Do you want to get yourself killed?! This is Fredrick Bleak, a man who has big influence over the world."

"W-What?! That man who owns multiple oil companies?!"

"Yes, that's me. And for your question, I planned to give my daughter's hand in marriage."

As he spoke, the three women behind him bitterly looked down, while the timid one was trembling as she was the one that will be used as a bargain chip.

Among all of the people present, these women are the most beautiful because of their youthful appearance, unlike other women looked like gold diggers or prostitutes.

While the man was talking with the other people. The other women were trying to calm the timid girl down.

"M-Mom, I'm scared..."

"*Sigh* I'm sorry we can't do anything, but I will try my best to offer myself instead."

She doesn't care about her husband because he is the one that put them in their current crisis, and if she gained the favor of someone who surpasses her husband then she would be able to ask for help. It was a gamble but it has better chance of working compared to running away or doing nothing.

"Alya, I will make sure that you won't be offered, and mom I told you I will be the one to do it!"

"No, I will be the one and that's final!"

Even though she said this, she was extremely anxious and many bad scenarios played in her mind. She doesn't know if this person was better or worse than her husband but at the very least she can do this to save her daughters. Yet, somehow she felt that if she were to marry this person then her life will surely change to the better.

Lena reminisced of her nephew and niece who were left alone when their mother was admitted to the hospital. They were very close especially her nephew who sometimes helped her with her own troubles without knowing.

She tried to help them but her husband found out and locked them, making sure to monitor everything. Lena couldn't report to police or ask for help on social media because of her husband's influence.

'I hope someone will save us."

As she was thinking about this, everyone shifted their gaze, the long-awaited arrival of the person they were waiting for has finally ended. This one person is the very reason why many people were gathered. Reporters weren't allowed to enter therefore some were undercover in order to get a glimpse of Nox's founder.

Arriving at the same time as Lena. Two blonde women wearing dark blue and crimson red dresses. One was a mature woman with wavy hair, while the other had short hair wearing glasses.

In front of them was a middle age man with silky black hair who looked rather good natured, wearing a dark brown suit. They were Mary and her parents who had arrived to the auction.

"We are here, make sure you don't cause trouble."

The man looked at the young blonde then smiled wryly as he looked at the crowd who were wearing many fancy ornaments and dresses. In front of them they were the poorest.

They went to the lobby while Mary was in daze, she was still in a state of shock from learning that her crush had multiple girlfriends, adding the fact that the vague message that her best friend had sent had made her imagination run wild, imagining all sort of things.

Only her and her mom knew about the multiple girlfriend thing. If her father knew about it, he would have butchered Caelum.

Mary tried to avoid Caelum because she was afraid of being rejected, even though a small part of her told her that he won't reject her.

Her mind had calmed down while waiting for the auction, for some reason it gave her a feeling that something big will happen.

They arrived to the venue where they were placed next to the Nox company that was shrouded in mystery, even Mary who did not have any interest in business related things was curious.

A company that rose in just month was something near impossible, especially world-wide but she learnt that their service and products were beyond science as one of them cured cancer.

As Mary was occupied with her own troubles, everyone became silent as the new arrival had made everyone crane their necks, this person is the long awaited man of the hour.

The person was an old man with a small cane, a dark overcoat was placed on his shoulders and wearing wooden sandals. The most intriguing thing is his closed eyes and coat that had symbol of alpha and omega.

Behind him was woman with short hair and glasses wearing an secretary outfit.

"This is a rather pleasant welcome."

Caelum arrived to the island with his secretary, he was disguised as the Old Jade Emperor form. It was the last form that The Jade Emperor took before dying and giving his eye of wisdom to Han Daewi.

Upon scanning the area, he could already see the corruption of the souls of the people who trick and manipulate at any given opportunity they have to gain more. Caelum wasn't against their way of thinking, he only targets the sinners who step on the innocent

'This youngster….damn Old Jade Emperor's mindset is influencing me! I feel like a boomer!'

"Sir Wang, your grandson had tasked me to look after you."

"Hahaha don't be to stiff or you won't get a boyfriend."

Caelum laughed seeing her reaction, he knows that she had a crush on him because he gave her a job that gave her a chance to fully show her skills. She was a genius at business and management, enabling the company to rise even more.

She was also quite clumsy which made her adorable. Caelum moved to the lobby before being stopped by some guards, of course nothing like the usual modern CNs bullshit happened. After he showed his invitation, they shuddered and politely guided them.

'Ah, the art of ass kissing…"

Upon arriving to the lobby, people looked at him thinking who he was. All were stunned when he moved to the special venue that oversees the auction.

Upon taking a seat Alice haggardly arrived and looked at him with flustered face which made him chuckle.

"Hehe you know, keep that face and you'll surely take my grandson's heart."

She blushed again and quickly took a seat beside him. Caelum waited for the auction to start as it would be entertaining to see them fighting over his new product. He had given the auction house a medical injection that prolongs life and vitality to a ridiculous degree.

He plans to further his influence and manipulate those horrible people at the palm of his hand. They may think that Caelum is being manipulated but in truth he is the one in control.

A simple thing will make the greedy eyes do everything. He doesn't care about money or anything else, he only wants influence. Having full control of the government is his goal.

"Good evening, I'm George Bituwin and this is my wife Lisa Bituwin Mr.…?"

Caelum looked at the entrance and saw Mary's family, her father then greeted him. He unconsciously smiled because it's been two weeks since he last saw Mary, looking at her she seems troubled and he realized that she found out about his love life, so she became hesitant to pursue her heart.

"Ah hello there, are you perhaps my grandson's friend?"

"Grandson?"

"Ah, first my name is Shen Wang and I'm the grandfather of the one you call Caelum Mercer."

All of them were in disbelief as none of them thought that he was adopted, especially Mary who was more distressed after realizing what her best friend meant.

Caelum began to bullshit about the cliché story of his daughter running away with a man and he tried to find them with no avail and only to find out that she passed away.

He tried to track his grandson and found that he was adopted while he is old with no successors, after meeting his grandson he had given him all his assets to start a company with his help.

"I did not expect my grandson to be so talented but please don't tell anyone because he plans to go to college."

They nodded and waited the auction to begin. Caelum was not paying attention to the auction as he was distracted by distressed look of Mary.

"Why so distressed, young lady?"

Mary was caught off guard from his question and nervously replied as she doesn't want to offend the person who surpasses her father and the biological grandfather of her crush.

"…. Sorry, but it's personal problem."

"Ah, I apologies for my daughter, she just has a problem with her heart."

"No need, I know a maiden who is in love when I see one. Young lady, this man is he perhaps my grandchild? Ah! Now I know, it's because he has multiple women, right?"

Her father was shocked as he did not know that the young man that he has always seen as a son-in-law has the audacity to have multiple women.

"What!? You mean Caelum has the audacity to have another woman without looking at my daughter!!"

"Calm down, dear."

"Calm down!? That fucker played with my daughter's heart."

While this was happening, Caelum's heart ached, the man has the right to be angry at him because he had neglected Mary's emotions. He had mentioned it because he knew Mary's father doesn't know and only her mother was disappointed at him.

"Enough!"

Mary couldn't take it anymore and ran outside, leaving her father and mother in shock.

"Mrs. Bituwin And Mr. Bituwin, on behalf of my grandson I apologize, I know it's unusual but, in my culture, it is normal to have multiple women."

"Bullshit! I will not allow my daughter to have man who has a dozen of women!"

"Honey, could you shut up!!"

The man was shocked hearing his wife's shout and forcefully closed his mouth.

"I know you're angry, but you know what Caelum personality is, right? It's not like we haven't known him for hears. He is hard working and willing to do everything in his power to help and protect his family. It is not our decision to decide how he lives his life nor the way our daughter choose a man. Adding the fact that he never accepted our daughter's advances on him, so you can't even blame him for playing with our daughter's heart when he never deceived her in the first place!"

George wanted to refute but was left speechless because he knew what his wife feeling. He sighed and stayed silent.

"You're right, but I'm just afraid of him hurting my daughter."

"Forgive me but if I may? Can I talk to her? My grandson left a message for her and she would appreciate it."

"Alright!"

"If it's alright could I go alone? I know it sounds suspicious but in the name of my family I swear that I will not do anything bad."

"A-Alright."

Caelum then left after making sure Alice remained to accompany them. He walked out while emitting an overpowering aura to not be disturbed, he arriving at balcony overseeing the shore.

Mary's short blonde hair was dancing with the wind. Her glistening fair skin and glasses made her beauty shine even more. Caelum could feel her emotions using the harem parameter and it hurt him so much.

"Hello there, young lady."

She turned with her bloodshot eyes from the tears, Caelum's heart ached and moved beside her.

"It's you, I'm sorry for acting that way."

"Quite a nice child you are. I know it's hard to know that the person you love has many women but…. I want tell you that if you follow your heart and tell him what you feel then he will surely accept it."

"How do you know? Will he love us equally?"

Caelum gulped and his throat went dry hearing her words which were true. He looked at the distance and thought hard. Can he treat them equally? Can he give the same love as they do to him? He does not know the answer, but…

"I may not know if he can but I know he will surely do his hardest to do so, he will do everything he can to love and protect them all."

Mary heard his words and it made her heart warm as if it was Caelum who had been talking to her. She thought about Caelum who she has been in love with and what he had done to get this far.

He was man who will do anything in his power for those he loved. She remembered the kiss and his tender caress realizing that he had feelings for her.

"Do you think his harem will accept me?"

"Well, if the bastard could get himself harem then surely, they will. Just follow your heart, child."

Caelum seeing walked away leaving Mary to sort out her feelings and with a final resolve she made her final decision.

"I'll ask him out on a date and confess my feelings!"

Caelum with his keen senses heard her as he chuckled, swearing to give her an amazing date.
