Chapter 1Welcome to the Tower of Systems

"Welcome to the tower of systems."

This sharp voice rang inside the ears of the sleepy Harry. He opened his eyes slowly before muttering: "Where am I?"

"The tower of power, the tower of dreams and miracles… you are in the tower of systems."

When he heard the last words of this mysterious voice, Harry was jolted awake. He hurriedly stood up from the cold bare ground he was lying on and started to stare all around with anticipation.

"I… made it!" he softly murmured while noticing the wide space he was in. it was boundless, with soft white mist spreading all over the place, covering nearly everything but him.

"My father and mother's dream is fulfilled … my dream finally comes true," he whispered to himself in amazement and sense of accomplishment.

"Now it's time for you to be tested and start climbing the tower," the voice came from everywhere like it was drowning him, "but first I have to warn you… no lies can be told to the god of tower, do you understand?"

Harry took a deep breath, trying to calm down his racing heartbeats. Coming here was the only hope he had in his whole life, and failing meant only death. "I do," he simply answered while not feeling any loss to what this voice stated.

After all he came from a prestigious clan which had many to climb the tower over its deeply rooted heritage.

"Step forward and enter the space of seclusion," the voice said, "inside no one can spy or hear your words except for one."

He nodded before turning around. There was a thick blue sleeveless jacket thrown on the ground. It was made for cold days and he hurriedly put it on his body to help him face the upcoming cold times.

"Please step forward," the voice calmly urged and Harry only took another deep breath before taking the step.

"For you my brother," he murmured while feeling strange energy engulfing him and shielding him from the entire world.

"Your name," a very deep and majestic voice spoke the next instant.

"Harry," he answered while raising his head to the vague mist, the unclear shape of the god of tower.

"Your full name," the voice came again asking for a detailed answer.

"Harry…" he paused while clenching his fists as he hesitated for a moment, "Ferbender," yet he knew the crime of lying on the god of tower.

"Your clan," the voice didn't react to his answer before asking for another info.

"The phoenix clan."

"Your age."

"Sixteen years old."

"Your purpose for coming here."

Harry paused as he had a long list of dreams to fulfill in this tower. The god of the tower seemed to read his mind as he added, "just the most important goal you have."

Harry didn't hesitate to answer, "My brother," he smiled while adding, "I'm here to find my dear brother."

"No lies were told and you gained the right to start climbing the tower," the majestic voice said before a beam of white light fell over Harry and covered him from head to toe, "Don't reject the light of enlightenment. Here I bestow a system upon you… A new life, a new path… cherish this chance."

Harry felt his entire body getting pricked by needles then a soft wave of heat came from that beam. Despite that he remained calm and collected while his entire mind, body and even soul were focused over one thing at this moment.

"Will I have the power of my father and clan? Or the power of my mother?"

He mumbled as this question kept bugging him during the past month till now, and now… he was about to get his answer.

"Bits of this and bits of that," the majestic voice unexpectedly gave him an answer before he felt the entire world around shine in bright light while a soft voice rang in his mind the next moment.

<Ding! Soul binding is completed>

<Ding! Congratulations! You got yourself a system>

<Ding! The system is in a dormant stage. Please fulfill mission one to activate the system>

<Ding! First mission: Finish the talent test and proceed to gain one ability>

<Reward: Activating the tier one system>

<Punishment: Instant death>

Harry wasn't shocked to hear these words or see them float in front of him in the air. 'So I finally am about to step on the same path as you… Big brother,' he muttered to himself before taking a deep breath as he said:

"Start the first mission."

<Ding! The first mission is activated. Good luck system user… may the gods be in your favor>

The beam of light then turned into a roaring tornado where he felt his body being carried away under an indomitable strength.
