Lesser Imp (2)

William made one strand of mana come to his hand, almost instantly. When his palm was lighted enough, he shot the mana out toward the imp, who was spewing flames non-stop from its mouth.

The imp, being a pain, dodged the shot of mana that vanished before it could even reach the fog.

"It should be faster..." William gritted his teeth and got up. He made another two strands of mana come to his palm, and after the imp tried to open its mouth again, William shot the mana again. This time, while the shot was bigger, William was disappointed with the speed of the attack.

How was he supposed to increase the speed of the attack? It just left his hand without any propulsion. If William could make any hand movements to increase the speed, it would have been nice yet the mana was not in his hand per se, but inside.

The imp dodged again, and a screech of annoyance came out of its mouth. It made an aggressive wing span and started gliding toward William.
