CHAPTER 15 "Who's she?"

Still admiring the decorations at the field, I got interrupted my a gentle tap at my shoulder. I turned backwards to see the strange person behind me and immediately I turned backwards, I was welcomed by an unexpected hug. The scent was familiar and yeah I got it, it was Uriel's. I grabbed my arms round her not noticing when a tear dropped down from my eyes. I missed her so much and I know she did same too. She dragged me to a corner as we both sat down on some of the chairs at the field. I stared into her eyes and noticed they were swollen because of so much crying.

"Thanks to almighty you came tonight because I thought you weren't going to come. I missed you so much and I think many people here did too." Uriel said to me with a shaking low tone.

"Really? Aside from you whoelse did? Tell me."I asked her feeling lost by her reply to me.

"I don't know but I think master Damian did too. Ever since you left, he slowly returned back to that fierce arrogant master he used to be. Seems like you left the mansion with his smile. He has turned even colder now. I do feel so bad for him and I pray he heals." Uriel replied me while cold shivers ran all over my body.

I looked into Uriel's ears as tears poured down my cheeks. Unbelievable I was crying because of her words. I didn't know the reason I was getting all so emotional but I felt touched and more like the reason behind his sadness. I wondered if I had hurt him so much for him to become a cold person now. Uriel lended me a face towel which I used in wiping off my tears. I gave her my last hug before she urgently left to continue some duties inside the mansion. I cried all by myself for the last time before joining Rachel and the rest at their table. I sat next to Rachel looking at them still a bit lost by Uriel's words. I was feeling like a bad person that deserved no mercy. I tried my best in hiding my sadness before my friends because I didn't want any unnecessary questions tonight.

"They should start already because I'm getting bored. Where's master Damian though? I can't wait to see him tonight." Rachel asked looking round the mansion for him.

"The delicacies are looking so foreign to me. Let me take a bite of every foods lying on this table." Elena said to herself picking up a fork lying in a rolled serviette.

She dipped the fork into a plate of strawberry sponge cake which appeared mouth watering and fluffy. She took a bite while we watched her and the way she ate it made us appear hungrier than we were.

"Elena you've succeeded in tampering with our locked stomach now. I'm very hungry right now and I wouldn't mind joining you." I said to her aloud picking up a fork on the table to join her.

"Me too..." Rachel joined in, picking up a fork too.

We devoured the sponge cake hungrily and tried out the other meals on the table. There were much foods lying at the table and we couldn't even finish it. Atleast I got distracted from my thinking and I was glad I did bond with my friends tonight. Still chit chatting, we heard a voice from afar that echoed through the help of a microphone. I was attention got diverted as we traced our eyes to the direction of the voice. It was The Robinsons and I was so pissed off seeing them standing before the crowd. Hypocrites tssuipp...

Ma'am Emilia held onto her husband's arm so tight standing next to him like anyone was going to steal him from her. Such a desperado she was and I wondered how her life would have been if she didn't get married to him.

"We do throw such dinner nights once in a while for our workers as a way of thanking y'all for you kindness and diligence. Today's own is different and because we are very happy tonight, we will be increasing your rates by 10%." Mr Patrick said to the crowd aloud as hands were thrown to the air clapping in unison.

I was very happy to hear such good news because it would be in mother's favour. Mum's salary would be increased starting from the ending of this month. That was nice of them but what were they planning right now. Everyone was very pleased with the good news and no doubt I was happy too. Emman that has been standing at a corner finally joined us at the table.

"The main purpose for this dinner is to welcome a special guest that would be joining us tonight. She's here and will be coming to the stage in five minutes." Mrs Robinson said to the crowd from the microphone in her hand.

Everyone kept mute wondering the lady in question. I guessed it was the rumored fiancee of Damian's. I haven't even seen him since the beginning of the dinner night and wondered if he was really alright wherever he was.

"I suspect that the lady that will be joining us tonight is the rumoured fiancee of Damian. I'm very jealous right now and I can't even hide that." Rachel said with a sad tone while I exchanged glances with her.

"Rachel even if she happens to be the one tonight just embrace yourself. Not like any of us stands a chance in any of the wealthy class family." I said to her trying to comfort her and get her out of her moodiness.

"It would be nice of her to really be the one coming tonight. Maybe everyone would rest from Damian's madness finally. You'll are slowly turning into simps and it is very irritating." Emman replied to us while we all have him a sterning stare.

★★At Damian's court★★

Damian and Laurel were inside his courtroom discussing about the lady that would be coming tonight.

"Damian are you aware of who the unknown lady is? What's mother and father planning tonight?" Laurel questioned him while he looked as confused as she was too.

"I really don't know and I'm just hearing about some girl tonight and I have no idea who she is. Whatever they're planning they should better count me off it or else it is related to our family." He replied her shutting down a laptop before him.

"Just get dressed and wait for whatsoever happens tonight. If it is something I can help you with then I would okay? I got you my beloved brother and this time I promise to stand by you in anyway that I can but just don't do anything stupid.

Laurel replied him while he beamed a warm smile at her. She left him alone at his courtroom heading downstairs. Damian was clouded by his own feelings and was ready for tonight. He had to stick to Laurel's words to him to not try to do anything stupid though he didn't know if he would really do otherwise. He shifted his laptop at a corner standing up from the chair he was seated on. Damian left for his room to get dressed up on the ironed pair of outfit that was sent to him by his father in the morning through one of the servants at the mansion.
