CHAPTER 11 "My last day at the Robinsons"

It was remaining four days for my punishment to be over and I had decided to accept fate that because I also wanted to be free from all these but in the midst of being freed, I was really going to miss those memories that had kept me happy in the mansion these past days. At a corner of the servant quarters was where I sat my butt down on a spoilt chair holding onto a slate where I had written down the remaining few days.

"Phew! Today's the fifth day and I can finally give it a mark now." I whisphered to myself beneath my breath, marking a cross on the fifth day.

I had successfully cancelled one of the few days left and I did that with mixed feelings. I wasn't going to remain here forever anyways and I must wake up from this silly fantasy of mine. Uriel was behind me watching. I noticed a shadow behind me and they were traceable. It didn't looked like mine so definitely I suspected that someone was standing at my back. I turned my head backwards surprised to see Uriel. She was at akimbo staring at my face wearing a sad look.

"I think you doing this will make me miss your presence even before the last day. You've really changed the mood of this boring environment to be honest." Uriel said to be as tears dropped down her eyes.

"Aww don't get me emotional right now Uriel.. I'm so sorry for causing your tears." I said to her, standing up on my feet.

I drew her closer to me as I wrapped my arms around her giving her a warm hug. Uriel wept like a new born baby while I joined her in crying after much attempt not to. I sat Uriel down, squatting before her as I leaned my elbows against her laps. I lifted her jaw up with one of my fingers while she looked at my face still in tears.

"Are you really going to leave this mansion in the next four days? I didn't even realize that I would miss you this much Julienne. You've been the nicest servant so far and you've become like a sister to me." Uriel whisphered to me with a cold cracking voice.

"Me too Uriel you've become family and you're one of the souls I will miss in this mansion alot."I replied he, wiping off the tears that had left some maps on her face.

After all the emotional drama between us, I hurriedly upstairs to serve my punishment and I didn't forget to carry my slate alongside with me. I held onto it climbing up the stairs and unfortunately for me I came across the scary old witch Mrs Robinson. She was on a phone call when I bumped into her and when she set her eyes on me, she cut the call immediately. I heaved out a silent sigh hiding the slate at my back.

"You've spoilt my mood for the rest of the day now. Why did I have to meet a lower class especially this morning? What are you looking for upstairs?" She asked me while I blinked my eyes at her severally.

"I'm heading towards Damian's room ma'am and I apologize for ruining your day for you. Please accept my apology with a heavy heart." I apologized to her while she shook her head disappointedly.

Mrs Emilia's eyes got attracted to the slate behind me and I didn't know how she was able to catch a glimpse of that so fast. My heart started racing very fast especially when she request to see it. I slowly brought it out from it's hiding place, handing it over to her. She laughed out aloud after seeing the funny inscriptions I had made on the slate. Mrs Emilia looked at me while I tried avoiding eye contacts with her. "This lady tsuipp".

"Damian made a huge mistake the first day he saved you from being killed. You are nothing but a mere worker and you've been on the nerves of I and my family because of him." Mrs Emilia said to me with a cold angry voice that sounded like thunder.

"Mrs Emilia Robinson what should I do to make up for my silly behavior? ." I replied her with a question feeling very uncomfortable with the unnecessary drama she was trying to create.

"Just SHUT UP!!!!!...." She ordered me with a loud voice throwing the slate on the ground.

I shook my the sound of her voice as chills ran down from my heart to the tip of my toes. My eyes went to the ground watching the broken slate scattered on every corners of the stairs. That was a gift mother gave to me since five and I have been with this slate all my life because she somehow told me it was the only thing of father's she had with her for the moment. The broken slate kinda made me feel that father was with me whenever I carried the slate around. Tears danced down my cheeks as I mumbled in heart break. I have never felt this gravened pains before in my entire life. My only imaginary object of my father has been destroyed by this witch. Everyone left their room running downstairs because of the unnecessary drama Ma'am Emilia created. Damian sighted me at a corner as he ran down the stairs approaching me. I was very cold within my soul and my attention wasn't concentrating on whoever was standing before me. The girls and Mr Robinson approached Damian's mother trying to check if she was hurt by me.

"Mother did she hurt you? You know this lower classes act like wild beasts atimes." Anna asked her putting her eyes round Mrs Emilia's body.

"She won't even dare to do anything to me because I would break those fingers of hers. Damian just take her away from this mansion already." Mother said to him but he wasn't even listening to her.

Damian's attention was on me and he wondered the reason I haven't said a word yet. He looked at the ground and noticed the broken slate. He could see traces of chalks on each piece and wondered if those were mine. He suspected that mother might have destroyed this slate and they must have been mine. Damian shook my body severally but I wasn't responding to him and he couldn't stop being bothered. He was already getting pissed off of my cold response and decided to carry me in his arms. His action left everyone speechless as they could only watch me carry me upstairs to his bedroom.

★★At Damian's bedroom★★

Damian dropped me down when he entered inside his bedroom while staggered backwards leaning against a wall. Tears kept dropping down my eyes and it got him really worried.

"I want to go home! I want to go back home please." I pleaded in a low voice stuttering with my speech.

"But your punishment is not ove...." I interrupted his speech immediately already getting irritated.

"ENOUGH!!! I don't give a damn about any punishment anymore. Your mum crossed her boundaries today by destroying the only memory of my father left with me. That slate was special to me but she destroyed it. I'm leaving the mansion immediately." I replied him back in anger running out of his bedroom.

Damian stood there watching me leave his bedroom. He was surprised to hear that the slate was from my unknown father and got embarrassed once again of being a son to a wicked mother. He wondered the reason his mother destroyed my slate even without doing anything wrong to her.
