Edian was relieved when she emerged from the cave. Her friends were surprised at her apparent indifference to the event and began to tease her. "What's wrong with you, Edian, have you seen any ghosts?" they asked as they laughed.
Edian decided to keep what had happened in the cave a secret. She didn't want her friends to label her as crazy or worry unnecessarily. So she simply smiled and in a soft voice said, "No, everything is fine. It was probably just exaggerated rumors."
Back home, Edian prepared dinner and as she cooked, she thought about what she had experienced in the cave. Had it been real or had it just been her imagination? Try as she might, she couldn't get the feeling of the bright light that had engulfed her out of her mind.
Later that night, as she lay in bed, Edian realized that she could not fall asleep. Her whole body was tense and her mind kept spinning over what had happened. Finally, she fell asleep, but her sleep was restless.
In her dreams, Edian found herself in a beautiful dream city, where everything seemed perfect. There were tall, modern buildings, lush gardens and crystal clear water fountains. But something was wrong, something she couldn't identify. She felt as if she was trapped in an unreal world, and she didn't know how to escape.
When she awoke, she was covered in sweat and shaking. "What is happening to me?" wondered Edian. Despite her doubts, she was sure that something strange was going on. But she wasn't ready to share it with anyone yet. Maybe she needed time to process everything that had happened in the cave and in her dreams.
