Now to Land at School

Halla just nods and looks up at us. She was short and it looked as if she had small horns or antlers jutting out of her hair. She was still trying to straighten it. "That is what brought us here, no?"

"Yeah, don't worry about not knowing, as you said, you have a feeling, right?" Garthe chimed in hitting my back gently. "Just keep that feeling held strong."

These two were very understanding. I do not know what I would have done if I were in their shoes. But it wasn't as if I could say that I was from a place with no magic at all. Inwardly I have been slowly calming down from all the anxiety that has grown from just that morning alone. Taking a deep breath, I look over towards the professors who were chatting it up. Voltas looked a little annoyed before they all turned towards us walking over. Their demeanor has not changed much, Ceres catching a ride on Savrin's shoulders as she began to speak.

"Alright you little fledglings, there is a long way to go, well not too long if you think about it." She began to lick her paw before continuing. "We are to meet up with the school over in the plains just outside the forest. Before we head out, each of you are allowed one question. Only one. Even after we get there no questions shall be asked."

I try to think letting the others go first. Garthe speaks up a moment after, "you say that we will meet up with the school. What does that mean?"

Her answer was the simplest. With a smirk she says, "you'll see."

Halla perks up after and she gets a little closer towards them. "Are you a smart kitty?"

Rolling her eyes while the other two chuckle she states, "no, I am a smart Daemon. I have other forms and not just a cat. Now do you have a question that does not have to do with me?

It was my turn; I still was not sure of myself. That is okay, I know that it can get hard. "No, I do not, if I can think of one later afterwards then I shall."

"Remember not when we are there," Savrin brings his staff up nudging Ceres almost off him. "Fine! Yes, just one though."

That is when the three professors turned and began to head off. I look to the two new companions of mine and we all nodded. Following then in stride watching sparks happening underneath Voltas' feet whenever he took a step. He was hovering at least half a foot off the ground. The sparks seem to pulse back to him from the ground keeping him up and standing. Savrin took his time as we did to get to the meeting, which fit Ceres just fine whenever we reached a patch of sun under the canopy.

The sound of animals that were around is now gone and I did not know the meaning. It usually has some sort of sound other than the wind I the trees, The wind was picking up slowly at first before it was howling. "Gods, is it always windy out here?"

Ceres smirks and looks back, "are you sure you want that answered?"

Shakes my head fast seeing my blunder. Drat, I should have mentioned that earlier, I wonder if it has to do with the storm I saw.. My mind wandered a bit and time just went by; my legs began to feel the effects of walking for a bit that I had to take deeper breaths. Garthe and Halla seemed in a similar situation, and I just followed right after. Our pace quickened as the professor's backs got further and further away. Having to jog now I regulated my breathing. Halla slows down a little before Garthe helps to support a bit. She did not seem the type for physical activities all that much, while Garthe had a strong build, but no stamina.

Finally, we make it out of the forest and the trees seemed to bend, making room for us as we went past. I turned to look, and the others were piles of sweat. The wind making a mess out of our hair, and I could barely see. Debris was flying everywhere. Those black clouds were almost directly above us. There was no rain, but the wind was whistling through the air so fast that it would blow some boughs from a tree just behind us.

Voltas turns around and pointing at each of us a spark flies forward latching onto our ears. "Okay you should be able to hear me, do not worry about the weather. It is perfectly natural here. We have everything under control." He did not look worried. As a matter of fact, none of them did. The storm has moved overhead now, and the sky turned a shade of black that may have rivaled Ceres.

"Hey Garthe, what do you think?!" Having to yell over the winds his head turns towards me shaking his head.

Speaking clearly, he states, "honestly I do not know. I find it a little interesting that we can talk like that due to the professor there."

At a loss I shake my head at myself and my own inability to think. "Sorry for yelling, I did not think that it would have that kind of effect."

Voltas nodding and bowed a bit, "Yes, I did go ahead and make it to where your voice patterns and the sound vibrations would travel along the same frequency as the electrical signals in the air I placed. That is what I used and do not worry it is perfectly safe."

"Thank you for the lesson professor." Chuckles and smiles since I was able to get something without asking a question. I still had to keep thinking of something. Anything to ask.

Having stopped I peek at the sky, the rumbling of thunder hits, reverberating throughout my body. I decide to walk up towards the teachers. I finally had something in mind. "I have my question."

Each one looks at me and Voltas is confused for a moment before laughing to himself. He shoots the sparks over towards the other two who send a small glare his way.

"What made you create the school in a world with storms that can be this big? Any amount of power that can make this," motions all around me. "Can't it also be used to disperse such disasters?"

This time it was Savrin who spoke up. "That is a good question. Why did we build this plane which much fought dangers at every corner? This world that has all the major climates. This world in which we pride ourselves on. Yes, we built this here to provide a challenge. Not only will you be able to learn in the comfort of a classroom and have your own rooms, but you will also have survival tests, usually out in another pocket dimension. Otherwise for the older years we let them stay here and to hold them to the standards built. It is a test per se."

"O-okay.." Tilts my head and he chuckles once more. "You shall see what I mean in the coming months, get ready it is almost here."

"What is? We just stopped here."

He looked up more and then a smile appeared. As I followed his gaze there was a sense of despair. I have been nearby when this has happened before. A large funnel was starting to form from the clouds above. Just as I see that I begin to move wanting to run for it. There was nowhere to turn. Just as I try to warn everyone my voice was now caught in the wind. Nothing would come out; the air being stolen from me. My feet are pulled out from under me as the newly formed tornado touched down.

The professors looked fine with a small circle with wisps of black vapors coming off it. Ceres' voice can still be heard. "Now try to stay together. If not, you may end up on the other si…" The words were lost to me as I began to tumble.

The air flipped me repeatedly, I kept trying to twist my body to see the ground, but now the dust and trees were being torn from the ground and brought up. The tornado could be seen and was around a few hundred feet across. The dirt and debris being brought up to meet the funnel. I began to search for Garthe and Halla.

Halla looked like she was swimming in it having fun. Her hair a mess again, flowing all over the place being forced left and right as the changes in wind happened. Garthe on the other hand was tossing and tumbling far below us. It was as though the wind was having a hard time bringing him up. Without being heard now I could only try and pull off an eagle spread to stabilize myself. It didn't work out too well. With a gasp of wind, I was flung into Halla.

I was on the verge of blacking out, but I had to stay strong. This had to do with what Savrin had said. I just know it. I held onto Halla's wrist and tried to spread us out just before Garthe slammed into our sides making us spin higher and higher. SWOOSH, the sound of the air was deafening the further we got. When we entered the dark clouds, everything stopped. I couldn't see anything. All of it went black. I tried to keep my eyes open due to the sudden pressure change until all went dark.
