War In The Sea - [ Chapter - 31 ]

So then Lia was still completely surprised because not a lot of species can learn other species magic but Nari could ignore those limitations and just quickly learn their magic with just a bit of training.

But Kameko saw it as completely normal so she decided not to ask too much about it and so she decided to bring them to their city since it definitely wasn't safe outside of their city.

Then so she quickly brought them inside but Kameko was confused by this since he remembers that the place was definitely safe from any dangerous creatures and so he asked, "What's wrong Lia?".

She then said as they entered the city, "We are at war with the mermaids." when Kameko and Nari heard that they were surprised but they already knew they fought before but Kameko knew mor about them.

He then asked, "Why are you at war? Didn't you say their was treaty or something?", she said as she sighed since they were now in a more safe place, "There was a treaty but someone broke it from our kind.".

"Although we don't know who broke the treaty, they deliberately tried ruining our relationship with the mermaids and if we go into a full on war there will be heavy casualties on all sides." she continued and said.

After that Lia brought the four of them into a inn and everyone seemed to know Kameko well and so he introduced everyone to Nari and the twins and one of the sirens asked, "Are those your children?".

Kameno chuckled and said, "No, no." then after that all of them talked together but Nari went out because she wanted to learn more about the sirens and the twins were put to bed since they were already tired.

So then Nari roamed around the place watching people use theur magic and writing notes in her mind so she can remember the spells and then after that she tried it out and so she went to a protected place with a lot of fish.

Then she controlling a bunch and tapping into their memories as well and it was really cool and her control over magic increased thanks to this because when she had to control a fish she had to do it while controlling her body as well.

She was able to quickly learn how to effectively multi task and she thought of trying it with other magic so she then casted four balls from the four different elements and tried controlling them in different directions.

It was exactly the same as controlling the fish but it was easier since they effectively listened to Nari's command so it definitely made her more powerful in her magic but while that was happening she heard a loud noise.

When she heard that she went to Lia to check what was going on and then saw that they were evacuating children and then Nari asked, "What's going on?", Lia answered her and said, "The mermaids are attacking.".

Nari decided she wanted to help out and so she asked, "What can I do to help?", Lia was surprised since she wasn't a part of the war but she was thankful for her atleast trying to help.

So Lia then said, "Can you go out of the city and try to protect it with your spells, I know it's dangerous and you don't have to, it's not your fight.", so then Nari chuckled and said, "Kameko likes you so your my friend as well.".

Then Nari ran out of the city and saw that there were mermaids singing and saw that their mana changed color it also had musical notes as it's effects inside it and she listened to what they were singing closely.

After a while of listening and writing down in her mind what they were singing, she then charged in putting up barriers everywhere and she tried tapping into the memories of one of the mermaids attacking them.

She did this and saw in their memories that they had more plans to attack them and Nari was also able to see their mana even though it was a memory then saw there was also a coral with their mana.

The mermaids continued to attack with their singing and because of this Nari decided to name their mana "Melody Mana" and she kept blocking all of the attacks and thanks to her ability to absorb mana it was easy.

Suddenly she heard a horn behind her and so that the sirens was able to prepare and army to fend off their attacks and she saw Lia and Kameko leading it and then Lia said, "Nari, we can take it from here.".

So she chuckled and then all of the sirens charged at the mermaids and it was a full on war and the sirens and mermaids bled a blue blood so it was a bit weird for Nari to see but she also tried helping by casting some magic attacks.

There were a few casualties on the siren's side but one the mermaid's side they were being taken down rather quickly and it was mostly thanks to Nari and Kameko helping the sirens in the fight.

Then after a while the mermaids had to fall back because they saw they were clearly losing so they fled and went back to their base but Nari was able to absorb the fallen siren and mermaid's mana and so she had more mana.

After absorbing it she tried singing the song that the mermaids were singing while they were fighting and then when they heard that they were extremely surprised and thought there was another mermaid.

But it was just Nari singing and she was actually using the melody magic from the mermaids and then Kameko went up to her and said, "You scared me there when you started singing but you actually have a great voice.".
