Dancing tango with a handsome stranger

"What are you?" I said in a breathless tone.

Jeez, Was that the only lame thing I could think to ask?

"What are you too? " He also asked. His chilly deep raspy voice made my breath seize in my lungs for a few seconds.

My phone dropped into the sand spurring me out of the daze spell.

He cowered down and picked up my phone from the sand whilst I stood still melting under his penetrating gaze.

"There you go" He handed over my phone back to me.

I took it from him slowly with my eyes still lost and enthralled staring into his ocean-blue eyes.

"To answer your question." He smiled. His voice gave me another chilly tingle I was not ready for.

His eyes darkened with an emotion I can't describe.

He just took two steps and closed the gap between us. His lips were so close to mine. He respires a breath and it fanned my face making me gasp.

"I am a predator who preys on pretty girls with irresistible lips like yours" He whispered in a hoarse tone.

I swallow hard as my lips parted.

He smirked trailing his eyes till they met my lips.

"I love to kiss girls like you." He whispered.

I gasp incredulously. A jolt of chills Cascaded down my spine.

I bit my lips.

He suddenly let out a peal of laughter.

That sounded so beautiful in my ears.

"I was just kidding. Hope I didn't scare you. I sounded like a perverted creep." He said.

I couldn't help but smile.

"You got me with that. I was thinking of how I could kick you in the groin." I lied.

I badly wanted him to kiss me. I wanted this total stranger who just called me pretty to kiss me.

His eyes flickered illuminating the color of his eyes.

"Oops my pickup lie didn't work on you?" he shakes his head feigning disappointment.

I laughed.

"That was a pickup line?"

"Yep. That was lame right?" He combed his fingers in his hair and damn that was sexy.

He looks like a male model on the cover of a magazine with his fingers in his hair.

My stomach fluttered.

I shrugged. "It would have worked if we were characters in a cheesy Mafia movie." I got this line from a romantic comedy I watched last week before coming to Spain.

Maybe I should be watching more of that to learn how to flirt with guys.

He laughed and it lingered longer in my head.

I felt a swell of pride. For once in my entire life, since I started talking to boys, I have made a guy laugh genuinely.

It wasn't fake.

Most of the guys I have gone out on a date with faked their laughs at my lame jokes just to get into my panties at the end of the date.

I smiled and turned my eyes back to watch the waves.

Silence erupted between us.

I didn't know what else to say.

Just a few lines of flirting and I am out of words.

Jeez, I am really lame sometimes.

I am bad at conversations.

The only time I can really hold a conversation is when I want to sarcastically annoy the hell out of someone.

Especially when I want to annoy the hell out of my sister and my parents.

Being bad at normal conversation is the reason I quit law school and chose to be a professional dancer.

Because I suck at conversations I know I will be a bad lawyer.

Dancing was easier. I can communicate through dance easier than using words.

Brittany could have known how to keep the conversation going.

She is good at flirting.

"Wanted some peace and quiet?" he asked.

I looked at him "Yeah but looks like my tranquil time has ended."

Okay not bad. I can keep this conversation going.

"Sorry for my intrusion." He apologizes and huddles down to sit on the sand.

He offered his hand and I placed mine in his.

His fingers intertwined with mine spurring a wave of heat straight through me. And invite flutters into my tummy.

God, if I keep going on like this I will melt into a rice pudding before the end of the night.

I sat down beside him and probed my knees to my chest.

I stole a glance at him. The breeze gusted through his shirt giving me a glimpse of the hard delicious muscular chest hiding underneath it.

His shirt hangs right underlining the jaw-dropping broad shoulders beneath it.

I licked my lips

Damn, he is so fine.

I wish I could run my fingers over his hard muscular biceps and chest.

I wonder how his skin will feel under my fingers.

He caught me staring and smirked at me.

I blushed.

"Are you here for business or pleasure?" I ask to save myself from this embarrassment.

"Both" he answered.

"I guessed you are here for pleasure?"

I nodded.

"Business, a businessman?" I curiously asked.

"Pleasure, on vacation alone? I find it hard to believe. You are too beautiful to be unhinged" He said dodging my question.

Hearing the word beautiful escape from his lips made a warm feeling grip my heart. it skips softly against my chest.

I hardly hear people call me beautiful.

Especially guys with ocean-blue eyes and a face of an Adonis.

Maybe the universe decided to bestow me with this moment to feel beautiful for once in my life.

Living under the shadows of my beautiful sister has made me insecure my whole life.

And this beautiful stranger thinks I am beautiful? Maybe I imagine he said that

Suddenly I thought of him meeting my sister.

Could he still call me beautiful if he set his eyes on Brittany?

No, I should stop thinking of that and enjoy this moment whilst it lasts.

It's good Brittany is not here. For once I can enjoy the attention of a handsome guy without her stealing that away from me.

"Sadly I am in Valencia alone." I lied. I can pretend just for this moment Brittany doesn't exist and feels like the most beautiful girl in the world.

He intensely held my eyes. My cheeks felt hot under his gaze.

My eyes fell on his lips. I wish he did want to kiss me. I wonder how his lips will feel on mine.

I quickly looked away.

"I wonder what is your name "

I was about to tell him my full name. Adeline Pierce.

"But I would like to remember you as the mysterious girl I met at a beach in Valencia. A name could ruin my memory of you. " He said.

An ache runs through my chest. That means I am going to be a memory, just from this night nothing else.

That hurt.

"On the same page. A name will ruin the fun of us being a mystery to each other." I said in agreement when I wished the opposite.

"College? Wait are you even legal?" He asked.

I rolled my eyes and chuckled. "Are you in a way trying to get me to tell you my age? A lady never reveals her age."

He laughed.

Gosh, there is something about his smile that gives me a warm flustered feeling.

"But don't worry you aren't being a pedophile. I am legal. Can buy alcohol from a liquor shop with a legit ID"

He grins and sighs. "That's a relief. You look extremely young"

I get that a lot from people.

I do because I am kind of cute body-wise and face.

"So what do you do mystery girl? Oops, I forgot we are keeping an air of mystery here."

"I am a dancer," I told him.

His eyes flickered slightly.

"Ballet?"

I nodded. "And contemporary"

"That's great."

His genuine admiration makes me feel more heartbroken and sad about not being able to dance anymore.

His eyes fell on my feet

I quickly dip my feet into the sand to hide it.

My feet look hideous and rough.

That's the effect of putting much pressure on my feet to master Ballet.

"Don't hide it" He gently took my feet from the cake of sand

He rubbed his palm gently over my feet and it felt nice.

"It's beautiful, You shouldn't hide it. These feet create beautiful art with the aid of your body." He smiled.

I smiled back.

He is making it hard for me to forget about him when this night ends.

"I wish I could see you dance. I know it will be a beautiful sight to watch." He said wishfully

I blushed.

Butterflies were just doing their thing in my stomach.

"Or dance with you." He added.

"We could dance if you want to," I said eagerly thinking of the dance that could get us tangled. I want to feel him close.

Suddenly it came to mind.

Tango.

I could dance tango with him.

"Will you dance tango with me, mystery man?"

His eyes lightened up. "Tango? You are about to make one fantasy of mine a reality. I always wanted to dance tango. Dance the love dance and all." He wriggled his brows playfully.

"Then let's make that dream a reality."

I huddle up on my feet. He also stood up.

Tango includes the slight bending of the knees. And that is going to affect my leg which is still in the healing process.

But I don't care. I can't let this opportunity slip.

To dance tango with this Adonis could be an unforgettable memory.

And I want to experience that.

"So how do we tango?" He said as he turned so we could face each other.

"Tango is just a dance that involves a lot of walking. It is a walking dance. Nothing too complicated. If you can walk then you can dance."

"I see," He said with enthusiasm.

I moved two paces forward closing the gap.

His eyes poured into mine and held it.

I let out a deep breath.

This is going to be so hard.

I took his left hand and placed it on my back. His touch on my skin makes me drag a breath in.

He spread his hand along my rib cage.

The sensation I am feeling because of that small touch is getting unbearable.

I raised his left hand to the shoulder level and hooked it with mine.

Our bodies were too close together erupting a sensational heat between us.

I could tell he was feeling that heat too judging from his glistened eyes.

"This is easy. I am going to run you through the basic steps for men." I managed to say.

He nods attentively.

"You first move your left foot forward."

He did as I said. I also moved my right foot back.

"Right foot forward."

He moved his foot and I moved my left foot back.

"left foot forward." He did then I moved my right foot back.

"Now you move your left foot to the side and then drag your right foot to your left without closing them. Only your knees should touch. So bend your knee slightly when dragging your right foot to your left."

"Okay."

He followed my instructions and did the steps and I did the same.

"let's go over it again., You are the lead So put pressure on your shoulder to lead me to follow your steps with our hands entwined and your other hand at my back. You are going to communicate with me with your arms."

I feel good doing this.

Maybe dancing isn't over for me.

I can teach dance.

I felt optimistic for once still my injury.

"Ready."

"Yes." He said

"Okay we go slow slow, quick quick, and the slow" I kept saying as we danced the steps.

We practiced the steps more till he was somewhat perfect.

"You are a fast learner. That was impressive." I chirped.

He smiled. "It's because you are a good teacher"

I smiled back at him.

I could give dance lessons. I felt a bursting of excitement.

"Shall we dance again?." He said.

He didn't need my guidance as he boldly led the dance.

Soon we were doing real tango. Our bodies tangle together with every movement.

Even though we were dancing tango with the sand beneath our feet. It didn't hinder how perfectly we moved together.

As he got bolder we began dancing in a close embrace. My breast was pressed to his hard chest.

And I found it hard to concentrate on anything but how my boobs feels pressed to his chest.

And the heat growing between us intensified. And anytime our bodies entwined my heart skips a beat.

His eyes never left mine. I could see an intense emotion in them.

He suddenly twirled me around and then pulled me hard against his chest.

I let out a breath.

"I want to kiss you even though I shouldn't." He whispered against my ears. I gasped as his lips made contact with my neck.

Kiss Me by Ed Shereen Melody began to play in my head. The lyrics poured out in my mind.

I want him to kiss me.

"Maybe we shouldn't but I can't resist you." He wheeled me around to face him.

He raised my chin gently with his finger to draw my lips closer to his.

My breath became heavy.

Then there came my downfall.

He pressed his lips to mine and kissed me.

I never believed in love at first sight. Maybe that could be possible.

And oh my, his lips taste so good than I imagined they could.

He pressed his hands on my face drawing me more into him.

He kissed me harder, making jolts of zings run through my body. I felt alive. I felt a feeling that was consuming my heart.

I have never felt in way before.

I think I am in love.

I am falling in love with him with every stroke of his lips on mine

I want him as mine.

Dancing was the only thing that made me feel alive but now he makes me feel alive more than dancing ever made me feel.

I never want this to end.

I could kiss him forever.

"Christ you taste so good," He said against my lips as his fingers worshipped my skin. He caressed my neck down to my collar bone and they lingered there, taking my breath away once again.

He suddenly broke off the kiss. And rested his head on mine.

My lips felt bare without his lips.

We were both breathing hard.

He leads out a drag of breath.

"I want to make love to you here right? But we shouldn't"

His last words made my heart grip tightly.

I want him to make love to me tonight on the beach. But I said nothing. I don't want to sound desperate.

He pulled away from me. There was a pinched painful expression on his face.

"I think It's time to say goodbye." He said sadly and turned his face away from me.

.A sharp pain hit my chest. Tears rushed into my eyes. I blinked it away.

"I had fun tonight. I wish …."

He paused.

"Goodbye, "He said coldly.

My heart hit harder against my chest.

He turned and walked away

My heart was gradually ripping apart in my chest.

I wanted to run to him and tell him he couldn't walk away from me after making me fall in love with him.

"At least tell me your name!" I called out to him.

I want to know the name of the man who made me fall in love with just a kiss.

He turned and just stood there for some seconds.

"I am William, from New York City."

And that's all he could share.

He turned and never looked back.

"William," I whispered his name and touched my lips. Where his lips were a moment ago.

A tear runs down my cheek.

I can never forget him. Because I am in love with him

I know he is going to be my obsession for the rest of my life.

He has ruined me for good
