Chapter 3

They three gave me a glare and as for Darren, he flashes his toothy grin at me. I turn my head on the opposite side. Show-off! I keep hearing from these girls that he has a crush on me but I could care less.

Karen looks at me with wicked smile "Girls, I feel like something is surely burning up!" Uh oh, I think I'm in for a big teasing.

Sofia and Alice look at each other and Alice chirp winking at me, "Whoa looks like Aira is all burning up with jealousy. Looks like our tomboy finally got a crush on someone"

I look at them and at Darren with tomato red blush when they say that. I couldn't contain it. It was embarrassing when she commented. I shriek "Why would I get jealous if you'll look at him or not, it's not like I like him or anything."

They just ignored what I declared and giggled. Seriously I don't like him. I make a scrunched face. I can also see Darren blushing while taking to his friends. I think he heard what Alice just remarked. He looks at me again and me, well, I look away.

Time passed in college too quickly. It's lunch time and I am bored to go home. Dad and mom would be coming in evening from work and so I had to stay alone at home with Snow. Although Snow is great and all, he tends to roam around. It sucks really.

Staying home all alone and that too every single day. I sigh. Before going home I encounter an Ice-cream parlor, Creamcheats. Cool name. Might as well go in there and have some. As I open the door, a small bell chimes; I look up at the bell. Pretty!

I walk in and take a seat at the corner of the room next to the window where I can see the busy streets. "Hey there!" The waiter calls. He is a young man around his 20s or so wearing black shirt with the name tag Flynn. "Oh, hi can I get a chocolate fudge ice-cream?" I inquire. "Sure! Be right back" and off he goes.

I look at the place, it looks new. The place has fruity and milky smell with ice-cream posters on the walls. It's beautiful. Not many people know of this place. It was inaugurated a week before.

The guy Flynn gets me my chocolate fudge ice cream. Wow, it's creamy, the fudge just melted into my mouth and the smell of chocolate, it's delicious. I eat the whole of it looking outside the window. I pay for my Fudge and go straight towards home.

When I reach home, I see the door unlocked.
