Chapter 1

Bzzzzzz Bzzzzz Bzzzzzz....What's the buzzing sound? I open my eyes...And whoa it's my alarm clock! I throw the alarm clock on the floor near my bed in haste. Damn...it was the same nightmare! It's been a while, I get these nightmares.

I see the same cave every time however I don't reach inside and it feels so real, I am always woken up by my alarm clock or in my nightmare itself someone stops me and murders me there itself but I can't see who it is.

I am Aira! 20 years, college going student. I live with my parents and am the only baby girl of theirs. I have slight oval face with bangs of my hair falling just above my big chocolate brown eyes which matches the color of my straight flowing hair, medium size nose and pouty lips. I ain't exactly beautiful, but not terrible.

Currently I am running down the streets, why? Well, I woke up from a strange dream and was running late for the lectures. I heard a faint meow in the bushes ...huh? What's that? A kitten, looks like its lost or maybe abandoned but I have no time to search for its mum. I quickly pick it up and rush to college taking it with me.

If I don't hurry, I'll be in a big trouble and worst of all, I have my test today. The thing is I love animals and have a cat named Snow, he is adorable and very fluffy, actually all cats are but I feel mine is kind of special. But still I don't like to see any baby animal abandoned on street so I take it with me either to give it to someone or to the pet store.

Gosh! Finally reached. I enter my class and see Miss Nora, our class teacher taking our attendance. She looks at me with her angry eyes and at the kitten in my hand and with her high pitch voice making her eyebrow arch, "Care to Explain?"

I look at the kitten, "Ma'am I found it on road. Poor thing was middle in the road. It could have been killed" I fake a tear," It could have died. Thank god that I reached there in time and I tried to look for somebody to take care of it but no one was there so I brought to here with me." I keep on blabbering.

I just wish that she buys what I m saying. Slowly by looking into her eyes, I make an innocent face and puppy eyes which no one can resist. She takes the kitten from my hand and goes to the office. I think my cute act worked.

She comes to me again, "Aira, go take your seat and don't be late next time. I'll keep the kitten for me from now on." I say my thank you and take the seat next to my best friends Alice, Karen and Sofia. We exchange wicked smile and I answer the test paper in a hurry and give the answer sheet to Miss Nora just in time for the bell.
