This Is Dangerous

Helen: "Your arm... Irene, what happened to you? Who did this to you? Was it this woman!?"

She points furiously at Evelyn. She was rather stunned by the accusation.

Helen: "Look at her eyes! She's definitely not human!"

She pulls Evelyn by the collar and squints as she looks at her eyes closely to see if she wasn't just imagining it.

Evelyn: "I... like wearing contacts"

Irene: "Now mama this is Evelyn Stone. She was not the one who injured me"

She gesturely urges Helen to let go of Evelyn.

Helen: "Then who did this to my baby?"

Irene: "I got it during a fight a monster, a Humanoid one"

Liam: "You fought a monster!?"

Helen: "Irene... I get it know... Let me guess, another new job.. Again. But this time, you chose to be Monster Hunter"

Irene: "Ma please understand I'm doing this for us-"

Helen: "No.. You should quit this job right now"

Helen heads to a nearby room, the living room.

Irene: "Ma wait"

Helen: "No I'm not hearing any of your excuses! A no is a no!"

Irene: "You know we can't just keep relying on Lauren to pay everything for us-"

Helen: "You listen to me young lady. What I say goes"

Irene: "You're not hearing me out ma"

Helen: "So what!? I don't want to let you work at such a dangerous job just so I can hope that I don't lose my child too!?"

Irene stays silent but she stands tall firm while being understanding of what her mother feels. She lost her husband to an accident and is now in a coma and she doesn't even know if he'll ever comeback or if he'll be able to remember any of his family if he does.

Evelyn is outside the house as she waits for Irene to finish her family business. All of the sudden, her phone starts ringing.

Irene: "I promise you. I'll be able to protect myself"

Helen: "Right, your missing arm isn't really making that statement any more convincing you know?"

Irene: "About that.."

Evelyn: "Irene"

Evelyn comes in interrupting their conversation.

Evelyn: "I didn't mean to intrude, but I need to talk to you. Or rather.. Dalie does"

Irene: "..I'll be back ma"

Irene walks out of the house and Evelyn holds the phone closer to Irene.

Evelyn: "It's on speaker now Dalie"

Dalie: "Alright. Now, listen to what I have to say both of you. Stay where you are and don't come anywhere close to HQ"

Irene: "Did something happen?"

Dalie: "A group decided to attacked me here at HQ. After I dealt with them, apparently it wasn't only I that they attacked but other Team Managers in different locations were also attacked all at the same time. These people don't seem like they came from any of Vartia's official forces so they're most likely a bunch of terrorists.. But these people are definitely Vartians. So we may or may not be in a war with our rivaling country right at this moment"

Evelyn: "Did you try asking the guys you 'dealt' with?"

Dalie: "Oh those guys?.. Yeah, well. They didn't say a single word when I asked nicely"

Dalie is sitting on the edge of the opened black van as she's covered in blood. But seeing those corpses behind her means that it probably isn't her blood to begin with.

Dalie: "Anyways, you guys just stay where you are until I give any further orders. I'm gonna go and have a quick meeting with the Higher-ups and what's left with

the Team Managers"
