The Vales

Short black mullet hair, blue eyes, and tall. That's me, Irene Vale. I'm the youngest sibling and the eldest one is Lauren. Well I don't really know how she's doing right now ever since she left the house a long time ago, but I hope she's doing okay.

My father, Richard Vale, has been in a coma for the past 2 years ever since he got into a car accident. There was a pile up in a highway that one time and he got caught right in the middle of it. I had to drop out in the last year of my college just so I can start looking for jobs to support my family. I never knew my sister's job and never knew she could actually pay for dad's 30-day ICU's every month. So you could say I dropped out for nothing. My sister was clearly upset when she heard about it too. Needles to say, it wasn't easy for us when he went unconscious for very long period of time.

My mother, Helen Vale, is a woman with an amputated leg. A few years after I was born, when she used to work as a porter for this big hotel back then, she was in a middle of doing her job and the guests were needing a short tour of the room. When they got to the balcony, she had a stroke and tilted backwards. She fell 4-5 stories high and into a garbage truck. Miraculously, she survived the fall but her left leg got impaled by a single wooden stick. It went all the way through the bottom of her feet and through her thigh where it was poking out. (I don't recommend imagining it)

My sister, Lauren Vale, is apparently a surgeon in the capital city. I only found out when she came to visit dad once and handed over some money to me personally to pay the hospital bills. That's also when she heard about me dropping out but we're not gonna talk about that. These days, she's been sending me money via mail or an app called CashGo every month. I haven't seen her since she last visited dad so I don't know how she's doing.

As for me, well, I was aiming to get a bachelor's degree and even a bachelor in science but we all know how that turned out. I've been in and out of jobs since the last 2 years. Like 12 jobs I think. Right now I'm handling 2 jobs and they're both part-time. A barista and a delivery woman. But now, a soon to be monster hunter. I can't say I'm excited since you know, I'm being recruited against my own will (not really) to one of the most dangerous jobs out there.

Evelyn: "You up yet?"

Irene: "Augh, where am I?"

Evelyn: "Take a guess"

Irene wakes up in a clinic bed. A familiar face comes in knocking.

Dalie: "Thank you for taking our request into consideration. Welcome to the Hunter's headquarters Irene Vale"
