Chapter 2 Grandfather Paradox

Going to the past can result in an infinite loop. For example, let's consider this scenario: You've successfully invented time travel, and you find yourself in the year 2020. From there, you decide to travel back in time to 1967 with the intention of killing your own grandfather. This action would lead to a chain of events: if your grandfather is killed, your mother wouldn't be born, which means you wouldn't be born either. Consequently, you wouldn't have the opportunity to go back in time to kill your grandfather, implying that he remains alive. This, in turn, leads to your mother being born, your birth, your decision to time travel, and the cycle repeats. This type of situation is known as a paradox, specifically the "grandfather paradox."
