"CAN I share my opinion?"

Gyubin, whose eyes were glued to her Status Window, turned to Wooju and teased him. "Are you done laughing?"

Wooju cleared his throat, avoiding her gaze as if he was guilty. "I didn't laugh at you— I do find you funny, though."

Pfft.

It was her turn to laugh.

"I'm not upset. I was just teasing you, Wooju-ssi."

"Oh, is that so? I'm not really good at reading the room."

"You'll get used to my humor soon," Gyubin assured Wooju, and then she changed the topic. "So, can I hear your opinion about my point distribution decision?"

"Do you want to pour all your bonus points into your appearance to have a bigger chest and bottom?"

"It was just an impulsive thought…"

"Is that so? I'm glad then. I thought it would be a waste if you use all your bonus points on your appearance if your goal is to get the body you'll develop now that you're pregnant."

"Huh?"

"As a natural part of your pregnancy, your breasts will get bigger," Wooju explained. "It's also possible for your bottom to get bigger if your body decides to distribute the additional fat stored during pregnancy there."

"All I hear is I'm gonna get fat."

"You're going to gain weight, of course."

Gyubin leaned against the headboard. "Well, I learned those things in school before. But it's still different now that I'm pregnant." She put her hands on her tummy carefully, and then she turned to her fake husband. "How did you distribute your bonus points, if you don't mind me asking?"

Wooju suddenly blushed while scratching his cheek. "I was a stupid kid when I awakened, so I didn't make a wise decision. I put 4 points to stamina, 4 points to physical strength and speed, 1 point to mental fortitude, and 1 point to appearance."

She gasped out loud. "You only put 1 point to your appearance and yet you're already that handsome? Oh, my. You were born with that face?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you regret the choice you made back then?"

"A little," Wooju said, nodding. "I would have put more points to mental fortitude if I could. The more powerful you become as a Hunter, the more you grow insane. That's why having a strong mental fortitude helps a lot in maintaining your sanity."

Oh, so he regretted not putting more points to his mental fortitude.

Wooju-ssi is a high-ranking Hunter, so his mental health probably isn't in its best condition.

"I've made my decision," Gyubin said determinedly. "I'm going to put 4 points to stamina because I feel like I will need that once I'm about to give birth."

"Good point."

"Then I'll put 3 points to physical strength and speed. You're not always with me, so I need the power to protect myself and our baby."

"Uh-huh."

"Then I'll put 2 points to mental fortitude. I'm already talking to a therapist, so I don't think I need more help."

"You'll only put 1 point to your appearance?"

Gyubin glared at Wooju. "Are you saying I need to enhance my appearance?"

"No," Wooju said immediately while shaking his head firmly. "I was just a bit surprised because you were willing to put all your bonus points to your appearance earlier…"

"Well, I remembered my days are numbered, so I don't need to be prettier just to die a year later," she said, shrugging. "I'm already contented with my face after two cosmetic procedures anyway. I just wish the System takes care of my skin since skincare products are expensive."

"I'm sure the System will do as you wish."

"I hope so," Gyubin said, and then she pressed the <Distribute > button on her Status Window. "Thank you for helping me decide, Wooju-ssi."

"But I didn't really do anything…"

"You did."

"Then you're welcome."

Gyubin smiled, and then she covered her mouth with her hands when she yawned. "Shall we sleep now?"

"You sleep first," Wooju said, but it didn't seem like he was leaving the bed. "It's hard for Hunters like me to fall asleep right away. And I'll probably wake up early, too. But I'll make sure I'll be quiet."

WOOJU did wake up early…

… early in the morning, that is.

He was shocked to see the sunlight passing through the gap between the black curtains.

I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow even though I was planning to read a book while waiting for Gyubin to fall asleep…

If he was in a dungeon, he'd be dead by now.

But it didn't feel that bad.

When did I last have a good night's sleep?
