Prophecy Fulfilled

By the time Lauren made it back to the throne room, William had already told everyone what had happened. She clutched the golden flower in her hand as she made her way across the room.

Odi walked over to Lauren and gave her a hug. Lauren showed Odi the flower. "So this is what you need?" he asked.

"Yes. Amias sacrificed himself so I could have it."

William looked around the room. "With Icas gone, we need to find someone to take over as ruler."

Kalzin looked at Lauren. "Would you?"

Lauren shook her head. "I have to get back to Earth. Ben really needs me." She paused. "What about Odi?"

"Perfect," William said. "What do you think?" he asked Odi.

"Do you really think that I'm the best choice?" he asked. Everyone nodded. "In that case, I would be honored!"

A few days later, everyone gathered in the throne room for Odi's coronation. People from all over Eddeathra came to see their new king. Even Maisha showed up. Lauren and the Knights of Evermore stood to the side. The crowd erupted in applause as Maisha crowned Odi. As the applause died down, Odi stepped forward. "Thank you, everyone, for coming all the way here today. I am looking forward to creating a new and glorious era together, but now, the Moonstar will now lead us in a small ceremony for those who gave their lives for our freedom."

Lauren cleared her throat and stepped forward as Odi stepped away from where he stood. "Not all of us knew Fallon but we all certainly have heard of him. He was the first to resist Icas's reign and the first to die that day. His son, Amias, also gave his life. While attempting to avenge his father's death, he sacrificed himself so I could get the object that I needed to save my friend back home. There is one more that I will name. Mlinzi. The last Starglow wolf to survive being hunted by the Nites. He was my companion, friend, and protector. He gave his life trying to save me from being killed by the Nites. He now rests on the Ashvon where he died. These three may be gone, but their spirits will forever be with us."
