"You guys go ahead," I told the rest. I nodded at Xia Xing Yue, who was holding onto the treasure hunting sacred stone puppet. "Keep that thing safe. I'll join you guys once I'm done here."

"Huh? What's going on?" Jian Hu asked, puzzled. "What happened?"

"I have some…visitors that I need to entertain," I replied, pushing my glasses up with a smile. "They seem to be following us for quite a while now. So I intend to ask them what they want."

"We'll stay with you," Zhang Qian Long insisted, stopping as well. "If they turn out to be an enemy, then we should face them together!"

"No." I shook my head. "Those guys…they are only aiming for me. I don't want to drag you into my mess."

"What drag us into your mess?" Si Nan scoffed. "We are friends. Don't be such a stranger. We will stand and fight together."
