Chapter 171: First Mission in a while

"Are you sure about this?" I raised an eyebrow at Fu Xi's suggestion. The Black Faction, which consisted of the six of us – me, Fu Xi, Si Nan, Mu Zi Xing, Zhang Ping and Liu Yu Feng – had gathered for this mission. Well, it wasn't just us but the whole Black faction.

To my surprise, there were about fifty-six members, including us. They all volunteered to come along, which was a major relief because of the several hundred or so demons we had to deal with.

However, when we neared the eastern temple – also known as the Temple of Miroku – Fu Xi had suddenly raised his hand and volunteered for a reconnaissance mission.

"I'll go forward and scout ahead," he had proposed, much to everybody's surprise.

"I'll go with you," I had offered, but Fu Xi shook his head. He placed his hands on his hips and glared at me sternly.
