Chapter 138: Taking Care

I managed to catch Shi Xiao Nian before she fell, and even though she was still conscious, she was too dizzy to push me away. She continued to hold her head, unable to stifle a moan.

"Xiao Nian? Are you all right?"

Her waitress friend quickly rushed over to help, concerned. She bowed when she caught sight of me.

"I'm very sorry to disturb you, sir. We'll be taking care of my friend."

"She's my ex-classmate from high school. I will help out."

"No, you can't! You're a guest! We can't bother you with such trouble…"

"D…don't worry." Shi Xiao Nian gritted her teeth and tried to sit up. "I'm just a bit dizzy. I'll be all right after a while. Sorry, Shu Cong…and Tong Yu."

"Tong Yu?" I glanced at the other waitress. That must be her name. Seemed like she was acquainted with Shi Xiao Nian.

"Yeah, Shi Xiao Nian are friends at the same university," she said before she could stop herself. Then she shook her head apologetically. "Sir, don't worry. I'll take her somewhere to rest."
