It has been more than a few hours since the chaotic jailbreak from the godlings occurred. There were several casualties everywhere, ranging from all floors of the laboratory facility to the outside of it. It was truly a nightmarish sight to behold. None of them were mentally prepared for godlings to fight them and escape.
When the snowstorm mysteriously calms down, a bunch of Fatherland soldiers are picking up their comrades’ and godlings’ bodies to dump them in order to prevent anyone from discovering the incident, especially civilians who passed by unknowingly. It was difficult for some of them while others remained professionally stern.
Some of the guards were mourning for the loss of their fellow guards, particularly because some of them were loved ones or closest friends. Their hearts were filled with vengeance towards the godlings. They saw them as nothing more than tools, so it greatly broke their confidence and pride once these superhuman children fought against them.
All of them swore that they’ll kill the godlings who betrayed them. They’ll make them pay for what they have done to their beloved organization. They treated them well for five years, yet none of them were grateful towards them. They hoped that Sir Etana would fulfill their goals.

Back in the underground lobby, Sir Ancient stood in front of the corpse of Captain Cillian while his men were mourning the loss of their comrades and pointing their guns at the remaining godlings who failed to escape. They are eager to pull the trigger to avenge their late comrades, but they have to follow the boss’ orders.
The godlings who remained loyal towards the Fatherland, on the other hand, were also held at gunpoint after the recent events. This surprised them, especially Aster who recently woke from unconsciousness. They weren’t trusted by the Fatherland despite displaying their loyalty by stopping other godlings from escaping.
“It was really interesting about what happened today.” Sir Ancient said before turning his attention to the godlings. “I have to admit. I may have seen this coming, but didn’t expect that there’ll be a lot of damage from it. For five years, I have prepared a contingency plan in case all of you have a mutiny, but that embarrassingly fails.”
“What should we do about them now, sir?” Kiara asked. She recently finished doing a commission with a client, only to come back to the facility filled with bloodshed. “They aren’t to be trusted, especially with what happened today.”
“I believe the godlings who chose to aid our soldiers deserve to be rewarded, they after all didn’t support the idea of escaping from this place. They have respect towards us.” Sir Ancient defended the loyalists, which brightened them up. “The traitors who attempted to escape, however… I am having difficulty in what should I do with them.”
“But sir! They’re too dangerous! You saw what happened to our men!” Darren protested about allowing the godlings to live. “If we let them live, they’re gonna turn their back on us once again!”
“He’s right, sir.” Andrea Gianna, one of the captains of the Fatherland and a flirtatious woman, agreed with her fellow captain. “Those cuties aren’t to be underestimated anymore. They have the power to defy and kill us now, even if we have weapons that can kill them easily.”
Sir Ancient chuckled, “Don’t worry. I’ll make sure they do not dare to defy us again. They’re still essential for the Day of Judgement.”
“That’s right, sir! We still are! We do not align ourselves with those filthy traitors!” Nikole, also known as Kymopoleia, agreed with him.
“Yes, sir. Please spare. I want to exact my revenge on those traitors.” Sethos, also known as Set, felt pure anger towards those who betrayed the Fatherland.
“Please! Let us restore your trust towards us, sir!” April, also known as Terra, smashed her forehead on the ground.
Aster grumbled in pain, “I too wish to kill those traitors, especially Ezekiel and that so-called ‘first godling’! I want to prove that I’m the real Zeus, not Jupiter! I want to become stronger! WE want to become stronger! Please give us a chance, sir!”
“See? They’re really committed to capturing and killing those traitors. Let’s give them a chance and prove their worth.” Sir Ancient admired these godlings’ determination and loyalty towards the organization.
“Alright, but what about them sir?” Darren pointed at the godlings who clearly attempted to escape. “They are part of the ‘Crusade of Contempt’. They had intentions in betraying us. They shouldn’t be allowed to live.”
The godlings, who failed to escape shudder, in fear while the godlings with loyalty scowled at them with malice and frustration.
“No, I think they should. After all, aren’t they also been betrayed by their allies?” Sir Ancient said, much to the godlings’ confusion. “All of you fail to realize this? Why didn’t your so-called ‘crusade’ come back for you and save you? Because they didn’t want to. They would rather be free than risk their lives for all of you.”
“T-That’s not t-t-true!” Idris, also known as Heimdall, refuses to believe that.
“Really? Then where are they?” Sir Ancient signaled them to look around them. “They aren’t coming back. You’ve been abandoned. You weren’t a priority in their eyes.”
“N-No…” Idris was convinced that his so-called ‘friends’ aren’t coming back for him and the captured escapees.
Daria, also known as Sitan, sniffed while holding back her tears, “No…”
Sir Ancient turned his attention towards her, “You must Sitan, right? I heard that you’re particularly close to Habagat, along with Fenrir and Osiris. How does it feel to be betrayed by them?”
“I-It hurts…” Daria couldn’t hold her tears anymore, as they started to flow from her eyes.
“Yes. Betrayal can be painful. It was one of the many reasons why I started this organization. I’ve experienced it first hand, especially when it comes to family.” Sir Ancient smirked sinisterly. “I don’t understand why your brother, Habagat, betrayed you. He mustn’t have considered you as his ‘real sister’.”
All of the guards and godlings were surprised that Daria was biologically related to Ezekiel. Family relationships between godlings have been kept secret by Alam Etana in order to prevent them having a close bond, but it seems that he is using them to manipulate those that were betrayed by their family.
“Ezekiel… is my real brother…?” Daria questioned.
Sir Ancient nodded, “The same goes to the rest of you. All of you, not only have been betrayed by your comrades, but your family whom you weren’t even aware of. Are you really going to defend them?”
The godlings were troubled with the decision of whether they believed that their comrades (and family) will come back for them eventually, or accept that they’ve been betrayed. All of them decided to go with the former, as the latter is nothing but wishful and delusional thinking.
“Judging by your face, you have your answer.” Sir Ancient said. “As of right now, all of you will be trained harshly in order to take revenge on the ones that have betrayed you and the Fatherland. All of you will be treated like a real family, compared to the last five years. Praise to the Fatherland!”
“Praise to the Fatherland!” All of the godlings said with pure determination, along with a hint of anger in their tone.
“Are we sure about this decision, sir?” Darren asked worriedly. “This could risk another riot in the future.”
“I’m sure of it. Unlike before, they are definitely determined to become the Fatherland’s loyal deities. They aren’t going to revolt in the future, especially when they experience betrayal and loss.” Sir Ancient is affirmed with his decision. “Besides, our weapons and armors from the Theos Krustallos will become stronger than ever. We can use them whenever the godlings step out of line again.”
“I trust this will succeed, sir. The Day of Judgement has been delayed because of this outbreak.” Kiara said. “Speaking of the outbreak, where is the guard that I assigned to keep an eye on Habagat?”
“That guard, you say?” Sir Ancient connected the dots. “I see, there was a spy among us. It looks like he was a member of that wretched VPD, our antithesis.”
“What makes you say that, sir?” Andrea asked curiously while looking seductively at the guards, who were cleaning up the corpses, to cheer them up.
“Because I saw a glimpse of their insignia on one of the guards’ hands, but never connected the dots that he was a member. I let my guard down after having a meeting with Ms. Althea back then.” Sir Ancient then sighed in annoyance and frustration. “If it weren’t for me, none of my men would’ve died right now.”
“It’s too late to change the past now, sir, but we can move onward to the future by exacting our revenge to those wretched, traitorous brats.” Kiara said. “It was also my fault thinking that there won’t be any problems while I took on a commission.”
“You’re right. All we can do now is train these chosen ones and treat them better than before. We mustn’t discriminate against them based on their gifts, as even the weakest of gifts can prove to be useful. Habagat was an example.” Sir Ancient said.
“But while we train these brats, sir, are we going to let those who escaped live their life until we are ready to hunt them down?” Darren asked. “I don’t think it’s a good idea to become stronger. We need to send some of our men to hunt them down.”
“I won’t be sacrificing my men to capture those who escaped. I have people who will do the job for that.” Sir Ancient took out his phone with a smile.
“Sir, do you mean-?” Kiara knows who her boss is going to call for exterminating the traitorous godlings.
“That’s right.” Sir Ancient said. “It’s time to give the Awakened Godlings the most important mission they’ll have to succeed.”
Around the world, several awakened godlings who have been living freely and comfortably have received a new mission from the Fatherland. They are tasked to hunt down the godlings who have escaped, much to their delight as they were starting to get bored. They accepted the mission without any hesitation. It is time to hunt some naughty gods.
