CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX
1Anton's POV
I paced back and forth in my room, waiting for Thea to arrive. I was so impatient and apprehensive as I anticipated her explanation for missing my calls. It was unusual for her to neglect her duties, especially at such a crucial time. The tone of her voice during our brief phone call raised my concerns further.
As I heard a knock on my door, I quickly moved towards it, unlocking and opening it before Thea had the chance to announce herself. She stood in front of the door looking like she came in a rush, wearing a long jacket over her pajamas. Her appearance caught my attention immediately. She had her phone on her ears as she wasn't expecting I would come out without asking who was there. As her eyes fell on me, she quickly dropped the phone , trying to act coordinated.
"Thea, what's going on? where have you been? I've been calling you," I said, sounding stern but I was a bit concerned.
