Fatality

Ozai charges into the fray with an almost reckless abandon, his shield colliding with the first Ragnar, blocking its savage attack. With a swift motion, he swings his great sword, slicing through the creature's body. "That's one," he mutters as the beast collapses at his feet.

Before he can catch his breath, two more Ragnars rush him from different angles. But Ozai is ready. His constructed rifle fires off rapid bursts of red light, the lasers searing the ground beneath the monsters' feet. The Ragnars screech in pain, recoiling from the scorching heat.

With a quick toss, Ozai throws his sword into the air, where it begins to float alongside the hovering rifle. The rifle fires again, its laser cutting through the air, but the Ragnars are fast, dodging out of the way. One of them isn't quick enough; its shoulder is charred by the blast, and it lets out a shriek of pain before charging at the rifle with reckless abandon. The second Ragnar follows suit, but the floating sword intercepts, slashing at it to keep it at bay.

The injured Ragnar, now enraged, ducks under another laser beam and barrels straight toward the rifle. With a ferocious snap, it catches the weapon in its jaws, crushing it instantly. The rifle shatters into bright red sparks, dissipating into the air.

But Ozai isn't fazed. He charges through the fading sparks, moving like a blur. With a mighty bash, he slams his shield into the Ragnar, stunning it. The force of the impact is so great that Ozai's shield cracks and breaks apart. The beast, regaining its senses, lunges at Ozai, its jaws wide open. But Ozai is quicker. He catches the Ragnar's jaws in his hands, holding them apart with sheer strength.

The monster struggles, trying to overpower him, but Ozai's grip is unyielding. With a grunt of effort, he begins to pull the creature's jaws apart, slowly stretching them open wider and wider. The Ragnar thrashes, but it's no use. With a sickening crack, Ozai snaps the beast's jaw open, splitting it in half down to its esophagus. The creature falls limp, its body collapsing to the ground in a gruesome heap.

"Two," Ozai says, his voice steady as he stands over the broken corpse, blood dripping from his hands.

The third Ragnar, preoccupied with the relentless assault from the floating sword, dodges and weaves in a desperate attempt to avoid being cut. The blade slices through the air with deadly precision, forcing the creature to retreat step by step.

Ozai, unfazed by the chaos around him, constructs a spear out of thin air. With a quick, fluid motion, he hurls it with incredible force. The spear strikes the Ragnar square in the chest, sending it hurtling back into a nearby building. The creature's body slams into the wall, the spear pinning it in place. It lets out a pained shriek, struggling against the inevitable.

Before it can continue its struggle, the floating sword swings in a swift arc, decapitating the beast with a clean cut. The sword embeds itself into the wall behind the creature, leaving deep cracks in the stone. The Ragnar's head slowly slides off its body, landing with a dull thud on the ground. "Three," Ozai calmly states, his voice cutting through the stillness as the spear and sword also dissipate into sparks.

He turns around to face the fourth and final Ragnar, immediately noticing that this one is different from the rest. Its skin is as black as midnight, its body lean and muscular, with long, gnarly claws that curve like sickles. The creature's presence exudes a sense of malevolence and power.

"Hi, you," Ozai says with a smile, a glint of excitement in his eyes. He uses introspection on the creature, his gaze narrowing as he analyzes it. "Ah, you're special, aren't you?" he muses, a smirk forming on his lips.

Meanwhile, Zero is struggling to fend off the smaller Ragnar. Despite its size, the creature is alarmingly quick and agile, effortlessly dodging Zero's frantic strikes. With each missed attack, Zero grows more frustrated, his movements becoming increasingly desperate. The Ragnar's tail lashes out like a whip, sweeping Zero's legs out from under him.

Zero crashes to the ground, his knives slipping from his grasp and skidding out of reach. Before he can recover, the creature is on top of him, its snarling jaws inches from his face, drool dripping onto his skin.

"It smells like ass!" Zero thinks, looking away in disgust as he tries to shove the beast away with one hand. His eyes dart to the red blade Ozai had given him, lying just within reach. With a surge of determination, he stretches out his other hand, fingers fumbling for the knife.

Just as the Ragnar leans in closer, Zero manages to grab the blade and, with a quick thrust, drives it into the creature's chest. The Ragnar lets out a pained cry, stumbling off of Zero as it retreats. Wounded and whimpering, it disappears into the darkness, leaving a trail of blue blood behind it.

Zero stands up, brushing the dirt off his clothes and glaring into the darkness where the creature disappeared. He sticks out his middle finger defiantly. "And don't come back neither!" he shouts, spitting on the ground and wiping the creature's slobber off his face with the back of his hand.

Zero turns around, still catching his breath, only to see Ozai approaching the last Ragnar. "That one looks different compared to the others," Zero mutters, noticing how different the beasts look from the others, his unease growing.

"Good job, Zero! I knew you could do it!" Ozai shouts back, rolling up his sleeves, clearly preparing for a tougher fight.

Zero narrows his eyes at the creature. "What is that thing, Ozai?" he yells, struggling to steady his voice.

"It's an evolved variant of a Ragnar," Ozai replies, his tone more serious. "They're able to use magic. We call them Ragnorok."

As if on cue, the wind begins to pick up, whipping through the devastated city. The clouds overhead darken, swirling ominously as they blot out the last remnants of sunlight. A sudden bolt of lightning strikes the ground nearby, sending a shudder through the earth.

"As you can see," Ozai continues calmly, "this one uses lightning magic." With a quick gesture, he constructs a glowing red shield above Zero's head, protecting him from the unpredictable bolts.

"Find a place to hide, Z!" Ozai shouts, his voice cutting through the roaring wind. He quickly constructs his sword and shield again, the red glow of his magic contrasting against the darkened sky. Lightning crackles all around them, casting eerie flashes of light across the battlefield, heightening the tension.

The Ragnorok, its eyes glowing with a malevolent energy, begins to charge up a purple beam. The electricity in the air is palpable, making Zero's hair stand on end as the power builds. The creature lets out a deep, rumbling growl, the sound vibrating through the air as the beam reaches its peak.

With a deafening crack, the Ragnorok releases the blast, the purple beam tearing through the air with a low, ominous hum as it ionizes everything in its path. The blast hurtles straight toward Ozai, the sheer force of it warping the air around it.

Ozai braces himself, slamming his shield into the ground and taking the blast head-on. The impact is tremendous, the force pushing him back as his boots dig into the concrete. The electrical currents surge around his shield, tendrils of lightning reaching out and grazing his body. Ozai grits his teeth as the electricity dances across his skin, making his hair stand on end, but he holds firm, determined not to let the attack break through.

But the shield can only take so much. As the energy continues to surge, cracks begin to spiderweb across its surface. Realizing the shield is about to shatter, Ozai lets go, diving to the side just as the shield breaks apart, dissipating into red sparks. The remainder of the beam scorches the ground where he stood moments before, but Ozai is already on the move, closing the distance between him and the Ragnorok.

The creature, sensing the threat, rises onto its hind legs, towering over Ozai. Its claws crackle with static electricity as it raises them high, preparing to strike. The air hums with power as the Ragnorok slams its electrified claws into the ground, sending a shockwave of energy coursing through the earth.

But Ozai is faster. He leaps into the air, narrowly avoiding the electrified ground, and with a powerful downward slash, he severs the creature's arm. The Ragnorok howls in agony, stumbling back as blue blood spurts from the wound. Ozai lands gracefully, his eyes locked on the wounded beast, ready to strike again.

The Ragnorok, in its desperate rage, summons multiple lightning strikes around Ozai, each one crashing down with a deafening roar. Ozai's instincts kick in, his eyes darting around to gauge the threat, trying to determine which strikes he needs to dodge. The electric fury creates a blinding light show, disorienting him for just a moment.

But that's all the beast needs.

In a flash of lightning, the Ragnorok is suddenly inches away from Ozai, its massive form looming over him with terrifying speed. "It was a distraction?!" Ozai's mind races as he desperately tries to construct a shield, but he's too late. The shield materializes only halfway before the Ragnorok smashes through it with terrifying force, shattering it into pieces.

The beast's claws rake across Ozai's chest, the impact sending him flying back into a pile of rubble. The world spins as he crashes through debris, pain exploding across his body. Dust and shattered concrete rain down around him as he lies there, momentarily stunned, blood trickling from the deep gashes on his chest. The Ragnorok lets out a triumphant roar, its remaining arm crackling with electricity.

"Ozai!" Zero shouts, panic gripping his voice as he watches from a nearby hiding spot. The Ragnorok closes in on Ozai, lifting him high into the air with its massive claws. The beast's mouth opens wide, electricity crackling inside as it prepares to unleash another devastating blast.

But in a sudden burst of energy, Ozai breaks free from the monster's grasp. A shockwave erupts from him, strong enough to make the Ragnorok stumble backward. Ozai lands heavily on the ground, his claw marks starting to heal before Zero's eyes. He tries to construct a shield once more, but the Ragnorok, recovering quickly, seizes Ozai again. It slams him into the ground, dragging him through the pavement before throwing him violently.

Ozai twists in mid-air, barely regaining his balance before sticking a landing, his expression now one of fierce determination. "I've had enough of you," he says, his eyes beginning to glow a brilliant red. The ground trembles as Ozai starts to levitate, his gaze cold and unyielding as he looks down on the Ragnorok.

The creature, confused and enraged, roars loudly at Ozai, in an attempt to assert dominance.

Zero's eyes widen as the familiar red energy begins to warp around him, forming a protective bubble-like shield. "What the—?" he exclaims, bewildered as he realizes Ozai has encased him in this barrier. From within the safety of the shield, Zero watches in astonishment as Ozai constructs twelve rifles out of thin air, each one aimed at the massive Ragnarok.

With a wicked grin, Ozai floats above the ground, his eyes glowing with power. "Ready when you are," he taunts, his voice dripping with confidence. The rifles hover charged and ready, while the Ragnarok gathers its own energy, preparing to unleash one final devastating blast of electricity.

The Ragnorok releases its beam of electricity, and in response, Ozai fires the twelve rifles. Each rifle emits a vibrant red laser, twisting and intertwining in the air as they race towards the Ragnorok's beam. The clash of the beams creates an explosive collision, sending shockwaves through the area. Rubble and debris begin to float, caught in the intense gravitational pull of the two competing forces. The battlefield is illuminated by the dazzling, chaotic light of their clash, the outcome hanging in the balance.

As the intense battle rages on, Ozai's beams push back against the Ragnorok's electrified assault. His twelve rifles channel their power into a single, overwhelming force, the red lasers intensifying and merging into a blindingly beautiful blast. The Ragnorok howls in agony as its own attack is gradually overtaken.

With a final, thunderous explosion of light and energy, the Ragnorok's entire torso is vaporized, leaving only its bottom half standing. The beast's shriek fades into silence as its body disintegrates into glowing remnants.

The battlefield quiets, smoke settling and debris slowly drifting to the ground. Zero stares in awe, his eyes wide as he takes in the aftermath.

"..Woah."
