Clap!

The lights suddenly went out. A few seconds later a woman's scream was heard. Shinsuke scrambled to find a flashlight. He also forgot where he put his phone earlier.

The screams were heard again.

"W-why you guys, huh? Anyone! Turn on your cell phone flashlights!" Shinsuke's orders.

Silence.

"Hey! Don't joke! I'll kill you guys if you prank me!"

Silence.

Shinsuke fell when he tripped over something. Shinsuke crouched down, feeling what was blocking his steps. His palms felt a warm liquid. He smelled rancid. Blood. Whose blood is this?

A few minutes Shinsuke walked, finally he arrived at the drawer of the living room. He took the flashlight that was there and turned it on.

Clap!

The electricity is on. A shocking sight unfolded, causing Shinsuke to drop his flashlight and shatter it.

"W-what is th-this?" he stammered. His leg muscles relax. He fell down. Not far from him, lay 3 lifeless bodies. The bodies of his three comrades.

Mayumi died with the knife still stuck in her mouth. The knife penetrated to the nape of the neck. Blood was pouring from Mayumi's eyes, nose, ears and mouth.

Beside him, Kyosuke's corpse was face down, his head facing upwards. Rotate 180°. His neck is broken. His tongue stuck out.

Right at Shinsuke's feet, Kensuke's corpse also lay. His body was curled up on the cold floor. His left chest was stabbed with a fork.

Whose deed is this? What kind of monster kills viciously in just few minutes?

"That's how they restrained you, My Tantei. No wonder it was so hard for me to take you with me." A voice from behind Shinsuke.

"Ke-kenkyo? This can't be your doing, can it?"

"Oh come on! I'm so mad at them. They won't let me help you."

"W-wait! You're not Kenkyo! Who are you, Monster? Why did you kill my friends, huh?"

"Tch! Friends you say? Silly!"

Shinsuke gripped Kenkyo's arm.

"WHO ARE YOU REALLY, HUH?"

"I am the one who will help you."

Kenkyo frowned. She looked at her watch. Time is up.

"But, dammit! Looks like I failed again today. Alright, I'll come back later. See you later, My Tantei!"

Shinsuke saw Kenkyo walking away. It gets more and more blurry and eventually disappears.

"WAIT!! DON'T GO!! DON'T LEAVE ME!!"
