Synopsis

I, the suspiciously previously unnamed protagonist, have woken up to my normal everyday life after a strange 'dream' I had when everything is so different, even me. But even when the world and even people have changed, I kinda gotta keep on living, which is confusing when no one notices ANYTHING WRONG with the world.

Chapter 1The Shift

The world has been stable throughout recorded history. Things like physics don't change overnight, neither does the past. Of course, humans think this is the way it should be, however before pen, paper, tablets, clay, even language itself, the world has changed many times. Animals change overnight, history changes course, or even lives change to fit the new world. The world is overdo for what is about to happen to our protagonist, in which was dubbed "The Shift" … not that anyone but he will ever know.

"You'll be getting on tomorrow, right?" - ???

"Of course. After I get my homework done, so don't hold your breath." I said to my friend.

We had met online, but honestly, I felt like I could talk to him more than anyone. After logging off my computer I decided to get a quick snack, however looking outside the window something strange was happening.

Walking up to the window I looked out to see the sky was a majestic crimson spreading into purple. It was strange so I checked the internet, but for some reason my phone wouldn't connect. From the focal point of this strange sky some sort of wave that looked like it was made of crimson gold powder spread over the world spreading out from where it began.

It was then I noticed something weird, as the crimson gold powder covered the world it strangely seemed to disappear, but not without seeming to take the world and reality itself with it. All it left was a void, it didn't look black, white, or any color that I knew. It was nothing incarnate. Like trying to see behind your eyes, it had no color, it was nothing.

With nowhere to run (you can't exactly run from something that will literally follow you to the ends of the Earth), I got swallowed whole by this nothingness…

Waking up in what looked like my room, still groggy having forgotten what had happened the day before, I slowly came to realize, "I'M NOT DEAD!!!"

"What're you going on about? Be quiet up there! It's 4 o'clock in the morning!"

Huh, that was my mom so maybe all that was just a dream. As I go to brush my teeth though I notice something weird. First of all, why are my ears pointed, what am I? An elf? Second, I was definitely not blond before did someone dye my hair?

And last but most importantly… why the HECK am I alive? I mean look, I didn't notice my voice before because I was half asleep, but it had to be higher than it used to be. And why didn't my mom think it was strange? A random girls voice in her house? That would freak me out.

As I go downstairs there's other weird oddities. I realize that for some reason my house is basically a big tree, and outside is another tree that I swear pierces the stratosphere with how high it is. What was that thing? Yggdrasill? It was then I saw my mom. She didn't look that much different than before, but with the common difference that she had blond hair and pointy ears. Weirdly she seemed to be acting normal, as if she had always looked like that.

I decided that if she doesn't notice, something has to be going on, right? I mean from the manga and web novels I've read, and am totally not addicted to, this seems like one of those reality shift stories. I'm not a dense anime protagonist, I know that, at best, questioning about what's going on is going to get my sanity questioned, and at worst, get me in front of a therapist.

"Hey mom." I decided to act like everything is normal. I may be going a "little" crazy inside, but I'm still capable of rational thought, okay!

"Hey Jess, what are you doing up so early?"

'My name is Jess now? Now that I think of it what was my name? I can't seem to remember...'

"Uh… just… kinda woke up I guess?"

"Okay well just get ready for school, okay?"

Oh no, I forgot. Today's the first day back to school. Where is the school in this crazy world anyways!?! Well I guess no one notices anything wrong with me. I'm just lucky my school doesn't require uniforms or something, so I can just wear a hoodie or something.

I would hate it if I fell into some kind of silly trope. I do wonder though, if I changed this dramatically, what happened to all my friends? Do they remember what happened? And why do I remember what happened in the first place? The world can be so confusing sometimes! This is crazy you know. It's like everything I've ever known has been thrown out the window.

"Okay, well when you're ready we need to go!"

"Got it!" 'Whelp, this is gonna suck.'

Royal Secret: I'm a Princess!

After living as a famous Korean vlogger-slash-mukbanger, Neoma died a (shameful) death and regressed to her tragic first life--- the life where she has to live as a hidden princess with a tyrannical father and a yandere twin brother. She died at the hands of her psycho brother in her first life. But luckily, she charmed her "big brother" this time. Her father remains a sc*mbag, though. But a blessing in disguise happened when her twin brother got "sick." Because of that, she has to pretend as the "Crown Prince," forcing her father to treat her well. She thought she was finally on the road to becoming a lady of leisure. But, despite her laziness, she still ends up completing royal duties that put her closer to the throne than her sick twin brother. The next thing she knew, they already prophesied her to be the first empress of their very patriarchal empire. Now Neoma finds herself in the middle of the succession war she never wanted to be involved in! *** [EXCERPT 1] “Neoma de Moonasterio, the first princess of Moonasterion Empire. From now on, you’ll live as Prince Nero’s proxy.” [The hell is this psycho saying?] Neoma, despite her confusion, still smiled at her father--- the emperor. “Father, what do you mean by that?” “From now on, assassins sent by my enemies would target Nero,” the emperor explained. “Until he’s strong enough to protect himself, you’ll pose as your twin brother.” Her smile froze, but she still acted innocent. “But Father. If I take my brother’s position, then wouldn’t the assassins mistake me for him and…” She stopped talking when she realized that was exactly what the emperor wanted her to do. [This sc*mbag wants me to be bait?!] “You’re no longer a princess, Neoma de Moonasterio. From now on, you’ll live as Prince Nero de Moonasterio,” Emperor Nikolai said coldly while looking down at her with glowing red eyes. “Try to survive until your twin brother comes back to take his rightful place, understood?” Neoma was too shocked to react. [Are you f*cking kidding me, you sc*mbag?!] *** [ORIGINAL BOOK COVER. Artwork by sola_cola.] *** [EXCERPT 2] “I’m so sick of your tyrannical a*s,” Neoma yelled at her father aka the emperor. “I won’t forgive you for hurting Lewis and Tteokbokki!” “What will you do about it then?” Nikolai asked with a smirk. “Kill me?” “Yes! I’ll f*cking kill you, sc*mbag!” “Language,” he warned her, upset that his five-year-old daughter curses like a sailor. “Using vulgar words is unbecoming of the future Crown Prince.” “I’m a princess!” Upon yelling those words, the royal princess’s eye color changed from ash-gray to red. [This is getting serious.] “Stop it, Nero,” Nikolai told her sternly. “If you keep that up, the royal knights will come and–” “I’m not Nero!” Neoma screeched angrily. Then she jumped in the air with her left fist, ready to punch him. “In the name of the moon, I’ll punish you!” [What…?] And Princess Neoma, pretending as the Crown Prince for her sick twin brother, punched Emperor Nikolai, her father, in the face.

Abyssal Awakening

Having spent her childhood confined in chains, Alice was a child who knew neither love nor joy. Scorned by her family while being tortured in the name of the greater good for years, she grew numb to all feeling and thought. That is, until one day, a man in black offered her a chance to escape. There were once rumours widespread of an endless hell, a land of glorious death and dreadful opportunity. Fools went in search of it, and the clever never ventured into it. Only when its baleful mysteries spilled unto the earth did all hear its name — the Abyss. A single drop of its blood could give someone the power to control shadows, move faster than sound, or strength greater than the strongest man. Yet, it all came at a cost; the blood would always make sure those who consumed it became part of the Abyss, with one exception — Alice. Cast away by her own blood, it was her destiny to rot in a gilded cage. But, that fateful day changed everything. Gifted a second chance at life, a chance to turn her life around and claim vengeance against her family, a chance to dive deep into the Abyss and gain the power to govern her own fate, Alice took his hand, unaware of the destiny unfolding before her. Discord: https://discord.gg/vrdTSkj8Va Author Notes: This is my third book, going to take what I learned from before to improve. This book will be focusing on plot, action, depths of character bonds and overall a darker tone/take on this cruel fantasy world I've cooked up for this book! If you give this book a try, I hope you enjoy! A very different experience and tone to Nanomancer Reborn.

Was it you that night?

On the eve of their wedding, Yan Changsheng brought back a girl and publicly called off the marriage. Only then did Shen Qinghe realize that Yan Changsheng was the crazy male lead from a book, and the girl was the irresistible female protagonist. As for her, she was just early cannon fodder fated to die, and her elder sister was the malevolent female supporting character whom everyone wanted to beat up. Tsk, the plot is just freaking ridiculous! After awakening, Shen Qinghe busied herself with cultivation, protecting her elder sister. Yet, unknowingly seizing the female protagonist's luck, she attracted several crazy male leads, each of them forcibly taking what they wanted from her. She thought Dongfang Wuya was relatively normal, but who knew he was crazier, actually seizing the position of Heavenly Emperor and then forcibly marrying her to become the Heavenly Empress! ** As the high and mighty belle of the cultivation world, Dongfang Wuya had countless admirers and fans. Yet he was devoted to cultivation, treating love as if it were dirt. Initially thinking Shen Qinghe was deeply in love with him, he sternly advised her, "Focus on your cultivation, do not get distracted by romantic entanglements!" Later, irked by her dedication to cultivation, he pressed her into his arms and kissed her, seductively coaxing with a playful smile, "Be my Daoist companion, and I'll aid you in cultivation, hmm?" Unknown to Soleia, a man more powerful than her husband had been watching her, waiting for the right time to snatch her into his gilded cage. Duke Elsher had been foolish to let go― but the crown prince of Raxuvia wouldn’t make the same mistake. *** [Excerpt] After two long years, Soleia's husband had finally returned home. But he was not alone. “Your Grace,” Soleia said, trying her best to maintain a calm tone, “welcome home. How were your travels?” The man remained silent as he stared at her. “Oh,” the woman that Soleia's husband had brought back said. “I was just wondering where the servants were. No one has come to greet you since your return. Could you please help us bring―” Orion tugged the woman back, protectively holding her in his embrace. His eyebrows furrowed as he glared at Soleia, his sudden action causing the woman to look confused at him. “Orion?” she asked, her hands on his chest to steady herself. “What’s the matter?” “That’s not a servant." In one swift motion, he threw the sword out at Soleia, only to be stopped by a flash of scarlet and the coppery scent of blood. *** Prequel to Stolen by the Rebel King.
