Chapter 1: What I wish for..

I often find myself, thinking of the after life, what comes next, what is beyond this body, this planet, this system.. hopefully there is more, how I wish to live, a life of love, that can be crazy, oh how I dream, of a wonderful life.' .

A young man, laid on the ground, blood coming from the sides of his mouth. He reached his hand up to the sky, dreaming of a life, a life were he no longer needed to do, the things that gave him nightmares, oh how he wished, he could turn back the hands of time, to live this life better then he did.

'It is fine.. I'm ok with this, no man have greater love then this, then to give up..his life for another.'.

The young man, saw as the world, felt like it turned black and white. He turned his head, looking at the small girl, who was hugged by her mother, trying to call the police, all he could do was smile.

'It's not painful, is this what they mean, why?.. why do I feel, so at peace? I'll worry about that, another time.. I just hope.. there is something more.'.

The light faded from the boys eyes, his hand dropped, the smile never left his face, while the people around him went silent. All the woman could mouth was, 'thank you.' Covering her daughters eyes.

[Dream like state].

'It's so dark, yet comforting, is this..I don't know, maybe I'll never have, that life, I so long for..' a grey light, floated across this dark space, it didn't struggle, to the light, it was finally free, even if he wished for more.

"What a sad creature you are.. I can not take back, the many wrongs you have done in your life, but I can give you this.. you may not have much time, but I think you don't care, you just wish to live. A wonderful life.." the light couldn't hear it, all it did was float.

Two massive beings looked down on it, even as powerful as they were, there is balance that must be kept. One being put out his hand, sending a white light in to the small light.

"There is, give and take, in all things, for what you wish to obtain, a sacrifice must be made, you have given much, and taken so little, yet still did these things, even if your world saw you as a monster, we truly know.. what lies inside your heart.".

"Take my blessing, and live again little light.." the being spoke, with sadness in its voice.

"I am sorry little one, take my curse, fated to die before your time.." the other being, spoke with a feminine voice, sending a black light into the little light, still the sadness could be felt.

"Now go, we know you will live, even with the time you have.. we are.. truly sorry." Both the being said, while the light disappeared, and the world went back to black.

[tokyo, general hospital, top floor].

"It's a boy.." a woman in a lad coat said, holding the small child.

"Can I see him.. please." A weak woman said, looking at the child, her face covered in sweat.

"Yes, soon we need.. to go over him first.." the doctor spoke, handing the not crying baby, to a nurse, putting it in a strange crib, as they walk out.

"What? What's wrong with my baby?!" The woman tried to get up, but couldn't, only being able to yell.

"Ms. Ayako, listen.." the doctor tried to say.

"Please.. just let me see him.. what's wrong with my baby?" Ayako, spoke with tears in her eyes.

The screen around the two closed, the doctor spoke, holding the woman's hand, as you could hear cry's, the mother struggled, while the doctor hugged her.

"I am sorry.." was the only words that could be heard, while the doctor, hugged the woman.

[small time skip, Mc pov].

'What's going on?, ah, what's that light? Huh?!' The baby, looked around at the strange lights above him, seeing, and feeling the nurse touch on his body, hooking him up to a machine.

"Yes, there you go little one.. you can do it.." a nurse said, seeing the baby open it's eyes.

"He is strong, a new born opening his eyes.. aren't you.." the doctor said, coming in the room, but I could hear the sadness in her voice.

"What do we do, he.. from what we read on the scan, we have no idea, how didn't we catch it before?" Another nurse, looked at the doctor.

"Don't, just show me.." the doctor said, going over to the wall, looking at the X-rays, seeing a black mark, around the boys heart.

"Why is the world so cruel, why.. he is only a baby.. and from this, at best.." the doctor looking over the X-ray, had others come and confirm, the growth rate, to how small the child was, after they left. She leaned back in the chair, shaking her head.

"At best, he'll live to be 18, that's if everything goes right, why.. why is the world like this." Putting her head down, but soon a smile was on her face.

'It's fine, am I truly.. I think I am ok, 18 years? Not as much as I hoped for but.. I don't care, I am alive, again.. whatever time I have , I'll live it the way, I wish to live..' I think, hearing the words, while the nurses and doctor freeze. I let out a adorable giggle, they walked over and saw how happy my face looked.

"I will find a way.. I promise little one.. a way to save you.." the doctor said, rubbing my tiny cheeks, while I latched on to her finger
