Chapter 29: Rose Meets With a Lawyer

Keegan had taken longer to say goodbye that morning at daycare and Cade wondered if he knew something was up. Pups were more perceptive than adults gave them credit for. Finally, he entered his classroom and Rose sighed in relief. They’d dropped Keegan off at daycare because Rose wanted to keep him on a schedule as long as she could.

Until she had a plan like Cade had suggested. It warmed him that she’d taken his advice. No need to worry the tike until they had to. They would also have to share that they were getting married depending on how today went.

Cade should be attending to pack business, but he didn’t want to leave Rose’s side today. This would be her first full day without her job. It would be a transition. Would she be ready to think about the future and what she’d do?
