One bodyguard took the porridge and milk that Mrs. Huo had brought and made his way towards Huo Nanchen's ward. "Young Madam, Mrs. Huo has instructed that the Young Master should eat something light first. She also said that you should have some porridge to fill your stomach."

"All right."

Gu Ruochu patted Huo Nanchen's back and put a pillow for him to rest on. "All right. Let go of me. I'll get you a bowl of porridge."

"Aren't you going to have some?"

Gu Ruochu avoided Huo Nanchen's gaze. She had lost her appetite ever since her kidnapping.

Huo Nanchen frowned when he noticed that Gu Ruochu was avoiding his eyes. However, he gathered his strength and moved towards her.

"Ruochu, can you feed me? I'm in so much pain, and I'm a little hungry." Huo Nanchen's low and hoarse voice made Gu Ruochu's heart ache. "Okay," She replied softly.

Nanny Zhang's porridge was delicious. She fed him a bowl and decided to have some herself.

Gu Ruochu reached out and grabbed a bottle of milk but realized that she could not unscrew the lid. She raised her eyes and looked at Huo Nanchen. "I'll get someone to unscrew it for me. Please wait for a moment."

When Gu Ruochu stood up, Huo Nanchen pulled her down again. A defiant look appeared on his face. "Even though I'm lying on a hospital bed, I'm not entirely helpless. Give it to me."

"Okay."

Huo Nanchen took the bottle and unscrewed the lid before handing it back to Gu Ruochu.

"The milk is for you to drink. Why won't you drink it?"

"Have a sip first. Try it and see if it tastes good."

When she saw that he was acting like a child, Gu Ruochu felt a little powerless. She poured the milk into a cup and drank it.

"How is it? Does it taste good?"

"The milk is fresh and delicious. I'll let you have a taste." Just as Gu Ruochu poured out some milk for him, she was taken aback by Huo Nanchen's sudden movement.

He placed his hand on her waist and kissed her with great force.

Gu Ruochu could feel his passionate desire in the kiss. Huo Nanchen forcefully parted her lips and teeth and buried his tongue into her mouth. Gu Ruochu panted in a low, bewitching manner. The intense kiss seemed to drive her into a frenzy.

She did not know why, but she felt strange after he kissed her.

After what seemed like an eternity, Huo Nanchen finally let go of her.

His gaze grew deeper as he panted slightly and licked his thin lips. "It's really delicious, very fresh."

Gu Ruochu was a little confused by Huo Nanchen's words until she realized that he was talking about the milk.

After she understood his meaning, she let out a soft groan.

Her face also began to burn.

'Is he trying to tickle me?"

Huo Nanchen continued to stare at her with a profound gaze.

"All right, stop fooling around and quickly drink the milk." Gu Ruochu handed him the cup before helping him tidy up his clothes. "If you feel tired, lie on the bed and rest. Let me have a look at your wounds.

"Don't move. They'll heal better if you relax."

Huo Nanchen saw that Gu Ruochuhad tidied up the things on the table and immediately called the nurses for help. He held her hand and made her sit by the bed again.

"What were you up to when I was in a coma?"

Gu Ruochu was at a loss for words. She knew that she could not hide anything from him. She had no option but to tell him everything that had happened to her.

Huo Nanchen listened silently, and Gu Ruochu was startled when he suddenly looked up and asked coldly.

"Who kidnapped you?"

"It was Ning Zongxuan. He was afraid that I would take his place. He thinks that I care about the Ning family's assets."
